When she said she would quit drinking, Qin Man really did quit.
Fu Shiqin's new bar opened, but no matter how much we invited him, he refused to go and show his support.
Mrs. Qin hadn't seen her daughter return home for several days, so she made a special trip to her private residence.
When she arrived, Qin Man was still asleep. She only helped tidy up the living room and saw a pile of medicine boxes on the dining table. She went over to take a look with concern.
When I finally saw the opened box of birth control pills, I gasped in shock.
Then, he rushed into the room with the medicine box and woke Qin Man up.
"What is this? Tell me, what is this?"
Qin Man opened her eyes briefly, then closed them again.
"Mom, you can read, why are you asking me?"
“I recognize it, but you’re eating this for no reason…” she was saying when she saw him turn over, revealing a clear hickey on his shoulder. “You, you, you… what is this?”
Qin Man scratched her head and sat up.
"Mom, I'm an adult now. I know how to handle my own affairs. Please stop interfering so much, okay?"
"Stop talking nonsense, explain yourself!" Madam Qin pointed at her shoulder and demanded an explanation.
Qin Man remained calm, took the medicine box from Madam Qin's hand, and casually threw it into the trash can.
"Mom, I'm a 30-year-old adult woman, isn't it normal for me to have some needs?"
"Why don't you just find a proper boyfriend? Why do you have to do this?" Mrs. Qin was both angry and worried. After all, in the eyes of their generation, they couldn't accept such open-minded ideas.
Qin Man rubbed her forehead and yawned repeatedly as she spoke.
Who is that man?
"I don't know him, he left a long time ago," Qin Man said.
Madam Qin was so angry that she almost had a headache; her three children were all more troublesome than the last.
The married couple is making a fuss about getting a divorce, while the unmarried couple absolutely refuses to get married.
Qin Man got up, glanced at the messages on her phone, and irritably turned it off and tossed it aside.
"Mom, is there something you need?"
"You haven't been home for days?" Madam Qin said as she helped her pack her things. "You've been gone for so long, and you're never home."
"Fine, fine, let's go back, we'll go back today." Qin Man surrendered and stopped resisting.
Madam Qin thought to herself for a moment and muttered to herself.
"You were drinking with the two Fu brothers and He Chi yesterday, who were you with...?"
"Mom, no!" Qin Man interrupted her mother's wild guesses.
"If it wasn't them, then who else could it be?"
Madam Qin didn't believe it; what wouldn't a group of people do when they're drunk?
"Fu Shiqin and Fu Shiyi both have girlfriends. What could possibly happen between me and them? What are you thinking?" Qin Man was truly impressed by her mother's rich imagination.
Madam Qin thought for a moment, and then guessed.
"What pond is it?"
Qin Man rubbed her forehead. "It wasn't him. I picked him up. He slept with me and then left."
"You..." Madam Qin pointed at her, unsure whether to scold her or not.
Qin Man quickly changed her clothes and urged him on.
"We didn't say we were going back, let's go."
If she stays here any longer, who knows what terrible things her own mother might imagine.
Madam Qin sighed and followed her out to the car.
"Don't mention this to your dad when you get back, so he won't get anxious and upset again."
“If you don’t bring it up, no one else will.” Qin Man started the car and drove away from her residence with her mother.
Fortunately, that big troublemaker is now on a plane leaving China and has completely disappeared from her world.
