Fu Hanzheng was on the phone and didn't notice the change in her expression.
Gu Weiwei stared at Fu Hanzheng's retreating figure with a pained and conflicted expression. How could she have done something so beastly to him?
If He Chi hadn't shown up in time last night, she would have really tackled Fu Hanzheng to the ground in the car.
After Fu Hanzheng finished the call, he turned around and looked at her, her brows furrowed and her face contorted in pain.
"Still feeling unwell?"
Gu Weiwei shook her head repeatedly and stammered.
"Last night... I really didn't mean to."
"What do you mean it wasn't intentional?" Fu Hanzheng raised an eyebrow.
"I didn't mean to kiss you. I wasn't thinking straight at the time. Any man would have pounced on me..." Gu Weiwei explained her actions with remorse.
Unbeknownst to her, the more she explained, the uglier Fu Hanzheng's expression became.
"Would any man pounce on that?"
Gu Weiwei nodded, "So I don't have any improper thoughts about you, President Fu."
Fu Hanzheng's face darkened even more.
"Anyway, thank you so much for last night," Gu Weiwei said gratefully, almost kneeling down on the bed to kowtow to him.
Although she felt she didn't really need help.
The effects of the medicine will wear off once you soak in the bathtub for a few more hours.
As a result, he insisted on dragging her out, which almost caused him to lose his animalistic instincts and pounce on her.
However, Fu Hanzheng has been acting very strangely these past two days.
Yesterday morning I cut her hand and put a band-aid on her. Last night she got sick and I personally took her to the hospital and stayed here all night.
Could it be that she slept with him? No, Mu Weiwei slept with him.
She was racking her brains trying to figure out what Fu Hanzheng had done when He Chi came over with breakfast.
"Sister-in-law should be awake by now. I went to the cafeteria and bought breakfast. Would you like some?"
sister in law?
What the hell is this "sister-in-law"?
Gu Weiwei looked at Fu Hanzheng in astonishment. She had only taken a nap, how did she become his sister-in-law?
She waited for Fu Hanzheng to correct He Chi's nonsense, but he didn't say anything at all.
When Fu Hanzheng saw He Chi coming over, he picked up his suit jacket and walked to the bedside to say something.
"There's an important morning meeting at the company. Fu Shiqin will be here in a bit. Do you need to tell him anything?"
Gu Weiwei peeked out from under the covers, still bothered by He Chi calling her "sister-in-law," and frowned without saying a word.
Seeing her conflicted expression, as if she had something to say, Fu Hanzheng asked, "Is there anything else?"
Gu Weiwei shook her head when she saw him checking the time again.
"No, thank you."
He Chi saw Fu Hanzheng off and then brought her breakfast to her bedside.
"Sister-in-law, you probably didn't eat anything last night. The porridge at our hospital is very good..."
"Dr. He, could you please use a different form of address?"
Gu Weiwei reminded him with dissatisfaction, as if he made it sound like she was really having an affair with Fu Hanzheng.
"We'll have to call you that sooner or later anyway, we'll get used to it."
As He Chi spoke, he sat down on the sofa and started eating his wontons.
Gu Weiwei was so annoyed by his hiccup calling her "sister-in-law" that she lost her appetite for the porridge.
“Dr. He, the relationship between Mr. Fu and me was not what you think before.”
"That guy Fu Hanzheng is as cold-blooded as a robot. All he cares about is work. How many women do you think he's ever cared for like this?" He Chi muttered as he ate, then glanced at the girl on the hospital bed.
"Anyway, as far as I know, you're the first one, so do you think I'll have to call you sister-in-law sooner or later?"
“That’s because Grandma Fu asked them to take care of me,” Gu Weiwei emphasized.
He Chi snorted, "Then you two were kissing like that in the car last night. If I hadn't gone, you probably would have been having sex in the car."
Gu Weiwei: "..."
