After much effort, Gu Weiwei finished telling Xiao Yuanbao a bedtime story and finally managed to lull him to sleep.
The thought of having a boyfriend in the study who needed to be coaxed made her sigh wearily.
She tucked the blanket over Xiao Yuanbao, tiptoed out of the bedroom, went downstairs to get a bowl of leftover porridge, and took it to the study.
"You probably didn't eat much for dinner, so I saved this especially for you."
Fu Hanzheng glanced at it and continued to bury himself in his work.
I'm too full to eat.
Are you angry?
"No."
Fu Hanzheng flipped through the documents, saying he wasn't angry, but his face clearly showed he was.
Gu Weiwei was both annoyed and amused. A woman nearing thirty years old was getting jealous and angry with a three-year-old.
She went around behind his chair, hugged his neck, and rubbed her cheek against his.
"Really not?"
Fu Hanzheng glanced at her sideways. "Did your mother send you to pick her up?"
They're already finding ways to pressure them to have a child before they've even gotten married.
Gu Weiwei rested her chin on his shoulder and asked in a muffled voice.
"Isn't this supposed to be a way for us to experience what it's like to be parents? If you treat Xiaoyuanbao so badly now, do you plan to treat our children the same way in the future?"
"Don't worry about what your family thinks. Getting married and having children is our own business," Fu Hanzheng said.
He didn't want them to rush into having a child just because their families were pressuring them to.
I never thought about it before, but the more I think about it lately, the more I realize that the child is affecting their relationship too much.
He wished things could stay like they were now, with him being the only one in her eyes and heart.
If another little one comes along, who knows whether she'll prioritize the child or him in her eyes and heart?
"Uncle Fu, whether I have children or not, you're still my favorite person, aren't you?"
These words cheered Fu Hanzheng up a bit after he had been feeling down for over an hour.
"He can stay here today, but he must be sent away tomorrow."
"But Auntie said I have to stay for two days?" Gu Weiwei smiled ingratiatingly and asked, "Can I stay one more day?"
"no."
Fu Hanzheng firmly opposed it; one night was already the limit of his tolerance.
“But Auntie said she hasn’t been feeling well these past two days. If I don’t take care of her, who will?” Gu Weiwei asked.
Fu Hanzheng: "Fu Shiyi".
Lately, that guy has been going to the old house every few days and has bought a lot of things for that little thing.
Maybe he was the one who instigated the child to come here.
He was quite gloating when he brought that child here last time, and who knows, the three of them are probably gloating now.
Gu Weiwei: "But Fu Shiyi has to go to the company tomorrow to prepare for the film's production."
Fu Hanzheng frowned. "You really want to be with him that much?"
"If you don't like seeing him, then I'll take him to stay at my apartment and he can come back the day after tomorrow?" Gu Weiwei asked helplessly.
Fu Hanzheng took a deep breath. "Two days, only two days."
After hearing this, Gu Weiwei smiled and kissed him on the cheek.
"Well... can I make a small request?"
Fu Hanzheng: "What are the requirements?"
Gu Weiwei smiled ingratiatingly, "It's just... these past two days, could you please stop being so cold and fierce towards him?"
Fu Hanzheng: "I have the same face for everyone except you."
Letting him stay here for two days is already his biggest concession; why should he be all nice to that little guy?
Gu Weiwei thought about it and it seemed to make sense.
Forget it, I won't make things difficult for him. I'll just try to minimize the amount of time Xiao Yuanbao has to face him.
Anyway, he's been busy with work lately, and by the time he gets back from the company, Xiao Yuanbao will probably be asleep.
