When Grandma Fu saw that Fu Hanzheng had come out, she wisely went home by herself.
Fu Hanzheng sat down on the bench and glanced at her sideways.
"What did Grandma say?"
Gu Weiwei smiled lightly and said in a seemingly relaxed manner.
"Let's stop getting involved in the affairs of the Gu family and the Dorrance family."
Fu Hanzheng reached out and took her hand, speaking gently.
“Grandma lost too many relatives that year, and she suffered too many grievances while supporting the Fu family alone. Back then, she and Father had the opportunity to completely destroy the Gu family, but thanks to Carman Dorrance’s support, the Gu family was brought back to life. Grandma and Father have never been able to swallow this, and it wasn’t directed at you.”
Gu Weiwei tilted her head and leaned on his shoulder, saying, "But I have a connection with the Gu family."
This was the first time she had spoken to him about her relationship with the Gu family.
Fu Hanzheng remained silent for a while, then said, "Those things are all in the past. Grandma and the others aren't unreasonable people."
He never expected that his grandmother's invitation to go for a walk would bring up this matter.
I'm afraid that this will only make her already stressed heart even heavier.
"Mmm," Gu Weiwei responded softly.
Fu Hanzheng assumed that she knew Gu Weiwei before and had a deep connection with her.
But with Gu Weiwei's death, all of that is in the past.
However, because she is Gu Weiwei, nothing is in the past, nor can it be.
Fu Hanzheng looked down at her and suddenly understood why she had been so insistent on having a child.
She probably wanted to get pregnant and have a child first because she was afraid that her grandmother and the others would be angry if they found out that she had a relationship with the Gu family.
That way, at least they won't blame her too much for the child in this matter.
Gu Weiwei, wearing a ring, tightened her grip on the hand holding hers and suddenly asked.
"Fu Hanzheng, will we always be together and never separate?"
"Of course," Fu Hanzheng replied without a moment's hesitation.
Ever since that incident in Country F, he had only had this thought in his mind.
He wouldn't care about anything else as long as she came back, as long as she returned to his side alive.
“Yuan Meng said that if you break up with me, she will find me a bunch of handsome older men,” Gu Weiwei said.
Fu Hanzheng frowned. "You should contact her less."
I told her long ago to stay away from that bad friend.
Gu Weiwei chuckled softly at his tone.
"Don't worry, as long as we haven't broken up, I won't want even the most handsome guy she finds."
"Break up? Don't even think about it," Fu Hanzheng said coldly.
The two sat in the garden for a short while before Fu Shiqin came over to urge them to go back.
Upon seeing the two holding hands again, he complained.
"Are your hands glued together? You're holding hands with everyone you go around with."
"We're happy to hold hands, what are you single dog complaining about?" Gu Weiwei snorted.
"I……"
Fu Shiqin was furious, but looking at his own brother, he didn't dare to argue with her.
“Oh, it’s just holding hands.” Fu Shiyi said, taking Fu Shiqin’s hand. “Come on, Fu Xiaoer, let’s hold hands too.”
"Get lost, I don't want to hold your hand." Fu Shiqin tried to shake off in disgust.
Fu Shiyi refused to let go, saying, "No, you're jealous of them holding hands, so let's hold hands for them too."
As they spoke, the two deliberately held hands and walked ahead of them.
Fu Shiqin wanted to kick him in disgust, but Fu Shiyi held on tightly and refused to let go, and the two almost got into a fight.
Gu Weiwei's initially low spirits were lifted by the two lively characters.
