Same hotel, different room.
After finally finishing her work and returning to her room, Gu Weiwei immediately called Fu Hanzheng.
The two were having a sweet conversation when the doorbell rang.
She went to open the door, only to find that it was Ling Yan's agent.
"What's up?"
"Ms. Mu, do you have time tomorrow? Ms. Ling would like to invite you for coffee," the agent relayed Ling Yan's message in a friendly manner.
Gu Weiwei gave a cold laugh, "We're not close, I don't have time."
After saying that, he closed the door.
She and Ling Yan weren't close enough to sit down and have coffee together.
Lei Ning just said that he saw Ling Yan's people attending their premiere screening.
It's likely that Ling Yan found out about the scene in their movie involving murder and heart-ripping, and out of guilt, she feared that Ling Yan knew something.
So I thought I'd ask her out for coffee, and maybe test the waters a bit.
Ling Yan's agent stood outside the door that slammed shut, stunned. She hadn't expected her to refuse so decisively and thoroughly.
So he went back and relayed the other party's rejection to Ling Yan.
Although Ling Yan was very angry, she couldn't let go of the question that was troubling her.
So, on the second day at noon, while Mu Weiwei and Song Yu were having lunch at the hotel restaurant, she went over there.
"Miss Mu, do you have a few minutes to chat with me?"
"No," Gu Weiwei replied with a smile.
I just had lunch, and when I chatted with her, she was afraid she would feel nauseous and throw up what she had just eaten.
"I should have a few minutes."
Ling Yan did not give up because of her refusal, and was determined to have a chat with her.
Gu Weiwei looked at Song Yu and the others and said.
"You guys go first, I'll chat with Ling Yinghou for a bit."
Just hearing that there's such a scene in a movie makes me so nervous I can't sit still?
If she were to see the movie in person, she'd probably be so terrified she wouldn't be able to sleep at night.
Song Yu and Qiu Ling left first, but Lei Ning sat down not far from her and waited.
Ling Yan sat down after they all left.
"I'm sorry, I had my agent contact you last night, but you refused. This is the only way I can meet with you."
Gu Weiwei looked at the person sitting opposite her with interest. "What's the matter that makes Actress Ling so eager to see me?"
Ling Yan pondered for a moment and then asked.
"Director Covey went to the premiere of your film yesterday and gave it a very high rating afterward, so I was just a little curious."
Gu Weiwei asked with a smile, "What are you curious about?"
"Miss Mu is so young, when did you learn to be a director?"
"Having filmed two movies, if you put in more effort, you should have learned something by now," Gu Weiwei said.
That's certainly not true. No matter how smart you are, you can't learn to be a director just by making two movies.
"Was the screenplay written independently by your screenwriters, or... did you all write it together?" Ling Yan asked.
Gu Weiwei asked knowingly, "Why is Actress Ling asking this?"
"Oh, Director Covey said this movie is fantastic. I was thinking if the screenwriter wrote it, I'd like to ask him to write a script for our next film..."
Ling Yan made up an excuse to cover up her true purpose.
“I did it with him,” Gu Weiwei said with a smile.
She asked this simply to find out whether the plot about murdering a transplanted heart was something she added or something the screenwriter wrote.
If her answer is that it was just written by the screenwriter, then it means it was just a coincidence.
However, if she says that she was involved, Ling Yan will only feel uneasy every day.
She wondered if she knew something, but because of Fu Hanzheng, she didn't dare to do anything to her, and she lived in fear every day.
