At 2 p.m., Gu Weiwei arrived at the TV station and recorded her first interview program.
Because the misunderstanding was cleared up, the recording of the program went smoothly, and the people at the TV station were very friendly to her.
As the recording of the show ended and the two were saying goodbye to the crew, an elderly Mrs. Li, looking haggard, arrived, supported by Li Xiangxiang.
The two men saw her and asked her pitifully.
"Weiwei, can we... say a few words?"
Gu Weiwei smiled faintly and said a few words to Qiao Lin.
Qiao Lin spoke with the TV station staff and cleared out a lounge for them to talk in.
A staff member from the TV station looked at Qiao Lin and asked him about it.
"This old lady is..."
Qiao Lin adjusted his glasses and snorted, "The old lady of the Li family came to plead for Li Jiacheng and the others."
Gu Weiwei, Grandma Li, and Li Xiangxiang sat down in the lounge. One wall of the lounge was made of glass, so people could see inside from the outside, but they couldn't hear what they were talking about.
"Just say what's on your mind, I have a schedule to catch up on."
Grandma Li adopted a submissive demeanor, "Weiwei, are you really planning to sue your father?"
“The lawyer’s letter has already been sent,” Gu Weiwei said.
"He is, after all, your father. He has managed the company for so many years. Now that he wants to take the company back, isn't that going to leave your father with nothing?"
In an attempt to elicit sympathy, Old Mrs. Li made sure her hair was disheveled and her clothes were wrinkled.
Gu Weiwei retorted with amusement, "When he came to the Mu family, he had nothing. How come after enjoying decades of wealth and luxury in the Mu family, everything in the Mu family should belong to him?"
"Your father has worked hard for the company all these years. Even if he hasn't made any great contributions, he has still put in a lot of effort. No matter how unfilial you are as his daughter, you shouldn't be so cold-blooded as to kick him out of the company and the house, right?" As she spoke, Grandma Li's eyes reddened and she was about to cry.
“Yes, sister, Dad has been so upset for two days that he hasn’t eaten or drunk anything, and Grandma has fallen ill from worry.” Seeing this, Li Xiangxiang also pleaded, “Sister Xin schemed against you, we apologize to you on her behalf, but Dad didn’t do anything wrong…”
"He did nothing wrong?" Gu Weiwei smiled coldly, stood up and asked, "Is it that he did nothing wrong to marry Zhou Meiqin as soon as my mother died, or that he did nothing wrong to tamper with my grandfather's will and seize my family property, or that he did nothing wrong to kick me out of the house?"
"Weiwei, I'm begging you, as her grandmother." Old Mrs. Li couldn't understand anymore, so she stood up and knelt down at her feet.
At her age, her sudden kneeling startled even the onlookers.
"You killed my mother, so you have to pay the price." Gu Weiwei said, preparing to leave.
When Grandma Li saw that she was about to leave without agreeing, she pounced on her and tried to grab her.
Gu Weiwei, wearing high heels, stumbled and sat down on the ground, her head hitting the table.
"Weiwei, Grandma is kneeling down for you. Don't be so cruel to your father. If you take the company back, how are your father and me supposed to live in the future..."
Gu Weiwei covered her head with one hand, being held tightly by Old Madam Li, unable to get up.
When Qiao Lin saw that something was wrong, he opened the door and rushed in. He saw that there was blood on her hands, pushed the old lady Li aside, and helped her up.
"What happened? Where did you bump into?"
"I bumped my head... I bumped my head," Gu Weiwei said weakly.
"Xiao Xu, Lei Ning, hurry up and help us, we need to get to the hospital, quick!" Qiao Lin immediately called over two assistants and helped the person out.
Grandma Li was unwilling to give up and lunged at him to grab him.
"Weiwei..."
