I had spent the whole afternoon mentally preparing myself, waiting for Fu Hanzheng to come back so we could talk face to face.
But they forgot that Fu Hanzheng was going to a meeting abroad tonight.
After seeing the person off, Gu Weiwei returned to the master bedroom but still couldn't fall asleep.
A person lies in bed and before they know it, dawn has broken.
Qiao Lin sent her a message, asking her to come to the company so they could discuss something.
She washed up, changed her clothes, and went downstairs. Fu Shiqin was having breakfast and noticed the obvious dark circles under her eyes.
"Sister-in-law, if you really can't bear to part with my brother, why don't you go find him?"
"Huh?" Gu Weiwei raised an eyebrow.
“My brother just left, and you’ve already got dark circles under your eyes from insomnia.” Fu Shiqin pointed to his eyes.
Gu Weiwei rubbed her eyes and absentmindedly took a sip of porridge.
"Second Young Master, if a couple had a great relationship, but the woman had many secrets, and one day the man discovered that the woman was someone he used to hate vehemently, do you think... that man would continue to like her, or would he hate her and break up with her?"
Fu Shiqin blinked and asked.
"A new movie idea?"
"Never mind that, just answer me," Gu Weiwei pressed.
"This is too melodramatic, this isn't like you at all, sister-in-law," Fu Shiqin complained, then thought for a moment and said, "I guess I'll still like it."
Gu Weiwei pursed her lips and pondered for a moment before asking.
"If I become the kind of person your brother used to hate, will he break up with me?"
After finishing his breakfast, Fu Shiqin wiped his mouth, checked the time, and got up to leave, saying as he did so.
"Sister-in-law, this question is a complete waste of time for my brother. Even if you turned into someone he used to hate, or even if you turned into a man, my brother would still become gay, believe it or not?"
Her brother's indulgence of her was simply outrageous.
This is a question that might be hard to answer for someone else, but for his brother, it's a question that doesn't require much thought.
In his brother's eyes, besides Mu Weiwei, is there any other woman in the world?
Gu Weiwei was left speechless, both amused and exasperated. She had only thought about it all night and was feeling restless, so she had tried to gauge his attitude, only to receive such a clumsy answer.
"Alright, sister-in-law, if you really miss my brother, just call Xu Qian and arrange for you to go see him."
After finishing his sentence, Fu Shiqin picked up his briefcase and rushed off to work.
Gu Weiwei sat alone in the restaurant, facing a sumptuous breakfast.
The maid was tidying up upstairs and came running down with her phone in her hand.
"Madam, this is your phone call. It's from the eldest young master."
Gu Weiwei took the phone and answered the call.
"You've arrived?"
"Just got off the plane, are you up already?" Fu Hanzheng asked.
"I'm having breakfast now, what about you?"
"I ate on the plane." Fu Hanzheng noticed something was off in her tone and asked, "Were you going to talk about something very important last night?"
"No rush, we'll talk about it when you get back," Gu Weiwei said with a smile.
Such things are not something they can discuss over the phone.
Fu Hanzheng remained silent for a moment, seemingly lost in thought, then said, "Okay, I'll finish my work as soon as possible and go back."
He knew that Kaman Dorrance had sent people to China to find Yuan Shuo, and they were still there, seemingly wanting Yuan Shuo to come and meet them.
Therefore, he guessed that what she was so serious about talking to him about was related to this.
Also, regarding her true relationship with Gu Weiwei.
However, he couldn't miss today's meeting, so he could only agree with her to talk about it when he got back.
