Yuan Shuo smiled knowingly; he knew he would ask that question.
"Do you want to hear the truth?"
“If it’s not the truth, I don’t need to ask,” Fu Hanzheng said.
Yuan Shuo looked at him and said earnestly and frankly.
“She grew up in the Gu family, but they weren’t blood siblings. As everyone knows, Gu Siting doted on her. If Gu Siting hadn’t found out that his father died because he brought Weiwei to the Gu family, perhaps… they would have been together.”
If so many things hadn't happened, she would have continued living a life of family.
"Does Gu Siting love her?" Fu Hanzheng asked.
"Maybe, but who knows how much of that feeling is?" Yuan Shuo said.
Gu Siting's love was too self-centered and he could never give her the happiness she truly wanted.
Fu Hanzheng hesitated for a moment, then asked again.
"And what about her?"
Before him, had she ever loved Gu Siting?
Yuan Shuo smiled lightly and calmly stated what he knew.
“She lived in the Gu family for so many years and had a very good relationship with Gu Siting before the incident. She was confused about her feelings for Gu Siting, but she did not fall in love with him.”
"But with you, even though she knew you might stop loving her because of her surname Gu, she never thought of leaving."
Fu Hanzheng didn't ask any further questions, but he also didn't say anything.
He sat there with a somber expression, seemingly lost in thought.
"I've told you everything I know, believe it or not is up to you." Yuan Shuo finished speaking, got up and left, but stopped after a few steps and turned to look at Fu Hanzheng. "Fu Hanzheng, you decide your own relationship, but if you break up, we will take her away."
After he finished speaking, he left the apartment.
The apartment fell silent again. Fu Hanzheng sat alone on the sofa, quietly pondering one question after another.
Tianshui Villa.
Gu Weiwei was also sitting alone in the living room, waiting for someone who might not return for who knows how long.
The doorbell rang at 2 a.m.
Her eyes lit up, and she quickly went to open the door.
However, the person outside the door was not Fu Hanzheng as she thought, but Yuan Meng, who had just returned to the country today.
Yuan Meng noticed her disappointed expression and asked, "What's wrong? You're so disappointed it wasn't Fu Hanzheng?"
As he spoke, he entered the door as if they were old friends.
Gu Weiwei closed the door and returned to the living room to sit down.
"Why are you here?"
"You sent someone to take my man away, so I came looking for you." Yuan Meng, with a cigarette dangling from her lips, found an ashtray, hugged it, sat down next to her, and asked, "Did you confess to Fu Hanzheng?"
"He called his master over?" Gu Weiwei asked in surprise.
Yuan Meng shook the lighter that wouldn't light, and said with a cigarette in her mouth.
"I definitely want to ask you some questions that I can't ask you directly, like how many boyfriends you've had before, and whether Gu Siting is your ex-boyfriend or something..."
Gu Weiwei hugged the cushion and asked.
Do you think he might break up with me?
Yuan Meng finally lit her cigarette, took a puff, exhaled the smoke, and said.
"Take it easy, if you break up, you break up. There are plenty of men out there, you won't miss him."
Gu Weiwei glanced at her, not wanting to talk to her anymore.
Yuan Meng saw that she looked miserable, as if she was heartbroken and about to cry.
So, he patted himself on the shoulder generously.
"If you really want to cry, you can cry with me."
Gu Weiwei glanced at her sideways, completely uninterested; she couldn't cry at all in front of her.
Seeing that she wouldn't use her shoulder, Yuan Meng patted his own ample chest and grinned wickedly.
"Isn't it nice of me to let you cry here?"
