Fu Shiqin, who was just coming out of the study, heard this sentence as soon as he entered the living room. He stared at Qin Lu in disbelief, and then at Gu Weiwei.
Mu Weiwei, you've only been at school for a few days and you've already cheated on me?
The person they were having an affair with was none other than Qin Lu, whom they had watched grow up.
He thought his brother would be furious, but to his surprise, his face remained calm, and he simply turned his head slightly to look at Gu Weiwei.
"Yeah?"
"No." Gu Weiwei replied calmly.
Seeing that she denied their relationship, Qin Lu continued, "She wrote me love letters for a whole year when she was in the third year of junior high school, and she transferred to Yingcheng Middle School for my sake."
After hearing this, Fu Shiqin suddenly remembered something and said, "So, the handmade heart-shaped chocolate you received at your birthday party that year, and the love letter that Fu Laosan read aloud, were written by her."
Gu Weiwei rubbed her forehead and forced an explanation, "Back then, many people wrote for him, and I just wrote something casually along with them."
“You’ve been writing casually for a year, one letter a week. You’re quite persistent,” Fu Shiqin complained.
Gu Weiwei felt the chill emanating from Fu Hanzheng beside her, and glared at Fu Shiqin before snorting.
"Which girl doesn't dream of love? I've been writing about him for a year and he still hasn't become my boyfriend."
Fu Shiqin glanced at his older brother's dark face and said to Gu Weiwei, "You should explain your own relationship problems clearly."
"What do I have to explain?" Gu Weiwei rolled her eyes speechlessly and snorted, "There are always men trying to hit on me. Is it my fault for being pretty?"
Fu Shiqin clearly saw that his older brother's expression had grown even colder, and he pointed at Gu Weiwei and retorted.
"You transferred schools to follow him there, and you're still saying he's dating you?"
Gu Weiwei glanced at Fu Hanzheng's direction with a headache. Neither of them was her boyfriend, so why should she explain to them here?
Seeing that Fu Hanzheng didn't speak, Qin Lu mustered up his courage and said.
“Uncle Fu, if you want to find a woman, there are millions of women in China who would be willing to be with you.” He said, glancing at Gu Weiwei, “Weiwei is still young, she’s not suitable for you.”
Twenty-five-year-old Gu Weiwei glared at Qin Lu with some annoyance.
"You brat, I've put up with you for ages! I did write you love letters before, and I even transferred to Yingcheng Middle School to pursue you, but you never agreed, okay?"
I confessed my feelings to you in my third year of junior high, and you only came out as my boyfriend three years later. I stopped liking kids like you a long time ago.
Qin Lu looked at her with heartache, choking back tears as he questioned, "So, you're saying you've fallen for someone else, and that the person you've fallen for is Uncle Fu?"
Falling in love with someone else?!
Fu Hanzheng raised an eyebrow and glanced at the girl beside him, his gloomy mood inexplicably brightening.
"Who has fallen for someone else?" Gu Weiwei asked angrily.
A glimmer of hope ignited in Qin Lu's eyes. "Since there isn't one, then come with me."
"I haven't fallen for someone else, but I don't like you anymore!" Gu Weiwei said with utmost seriousness.
Qin Lu approached angrily, but stopped in his tracks under Fu Hanzheng's cold gaze, not daring to walk up to her.
"If you don't like Uncle Fu, why are you staying here?"
"Alright, alright, just pretend I like your Uncle Fu. Can you leave now?" Gu Weiwei said irritably, not wanting to explain any further.
"Mu Weiwei..."
Fu Hanzheng glanced at the time on his wristwatch and said in a cold voice.
"Shi Qin, take him back."
