Chapter 966 You love your job so much, go back to work.

Gu Weiwei was already resting when she received the call and was stunned for two seconds.

"You guys haven't gotten off work yet?"

"My brother is going to make us all work through the night. I only slept for five hours last night after I came back from Slovakia. This kind of overtime is going to kill me," Fu Shiqin complained, on the verge of tears.

She used to wait for her brother at home, and he would rush home as soon as he got off work.

Now that they're divorced and she's moved out, he doesn't want to go home at all.

Gu Weiwei got up and checked the time. "I'll call him."

"Okay." Fu Shiqin hung up the phone as soon as she agreed to make the call.

Gu Weiwei turned on the bedside lamp and made a phone call to Fu Hanzheng.

Fu Hanzheng was reading an overseas project report when his phone rang. He glanced at it, saw the caller ID, and put down the document.

"Still not asleep?"

"You haven't gotten off work yet?" Gu Weiwei asked directly, her tone clearly displeased.

Fu Hanzheng then remembered to check the time. "I haven't been to the company these past few days, and there's been a lot of backlogged work."

The main reason is that she's not home anymore, and he doesn't really want to go back and face a home where she doesn't exist.

"You should at least go home and rest," Gu Weiwei sighed, urging, "Go back now, immediately."

He hadn't been getting enough rest these past few days because of the canceled wedding and the matter with Old Mrs. Fu.

On the first day after the divorce, he worked overtime and didn't go home.

"There's still some work to do," Fu Hanzheng said, refusing to leave.

Gu Weiwei gritted her teeth and snorted.

"If you like your job so much, then don't come to see me anymore. Just stay at the company and spend all your time with your work."

Fu Hanzheng chuckled and put down his work, choosing to compromise.

"I'm going back now."

Gu Weiwei was satisfied when she heard that he was indeed preparing to leave.

"So... has Grandma's surgery been confirmed?"

"It's confirmed, tomorrow afternoon," Fu Hanzheng said.

Gu Weiwei breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this; it was good that the old lady was willing to undergo surgery.

"Then you should go back and rest early. Don't think you can stay away just because I'm not home."

"Okay." Fu Hanzheng chuckled, and as he prepared to leave the office, he said, "It's getting late, you should get some rest. Good night."

"Goodnight to you too." Gu Weiwei said goodbye to him before hanging up the phone.

Fu Shiqin stared at the direction of his brother's office for five minutes, and sure enough, he saw him open the door and come out.

"It's getting late, everyone should go home after get off work."

The planning department staff felt like they had been granted a pardon, and Fu Shiqin quickly packed his things and went home.

Sure enough, his sister-in-law's words were more effective.

Fu Hanzheng went downstairs to go back by himself, when Fu Shiqin ran over and said something.

"I'll drive."

"Aren't you going back to Shi Yi's place?" Fu Hanzheng asked.

He moved to live with Fu Shiyi and He Chi. Where did he go back with him?

"Fu Laosan and I have decided to move back," Fu Shiqin said with a smile as he picked up his car keys.

They moved back to keep him company because they were worried that he would feel lonely and empty after his divorce and his sister-in-law wasn't home.

Fu Hanzheng got into the car and asked with a cold face.

"You called her?"

"To whom?" Fu Shiqin feigned ignorance.

"Weiwei," Fu Hanzheng reminded her.

"I...no, my sister-in-law asked me if you went back, and I just told her the truth."

Fu Shiqin promptly lied, not saying that he wanted to go to her for help after get off work.

Fu Hanzheng was too lazy to pursue the matter further. He silently looked at the night outside the car window, no longer feeling as eager to go home as before.

There was no one left in that house whom he wanted to go back to see.
