Tianshui Villa, Beijing.
When Fu Shiqin and Fu Shiyi learned that Gu Weiwei was pregnant and that they were going to be uncles, they excitedly called He Chi over to celebrate together.
Fu Shiyi had the servants prepare a table full of late-night snacks, and Fu Shiqin, unusually generous, brought out his treasured red wine that he had kept for several years.
He Chi had just finished two surgeries and was exhausted when he arrived at the villa. As soon as he saw there was food, he sat down and started eating without any hesitation.
"Speak quickly, I need to go to the lab to check the experimental data from the second phase."
He has to work as a doctor at the hospital and also oversee the research and development of new drugs at the pharmaceutical company. He's incredibly busy all day long, unlike these two who still have the leisure to eat late-night snacks and drink red wine.
Fu Shiqin poured wine into He Chi's wine glass and said.
"Find a reliable and skilled obstetrician-gynecologist; she must be a female doctor."
He Chi was stunned for a moment after hearing this, and looked at Fu Shiyi.
"You got Ding Dongdong pregnant?"
Fu Shiqin rolled his eyes at him, "I haven't even held your hand yet, okay?"
He Chi looked at him sympathetically, then turned to look at Fu Shiqin.
"Could it be you? That can't be right. Someone like you, how could you possibly have a woman..."
"What am I like? What am I like?" Fu Shiqin slammed his fist on the table in anger, completely forgetting the purpose of calling He Chi over.
Fu Shiyi stared at the two of them speechlessly, then forcibly steered the conversation back on track.
"It wasn't me, nor was it Fu Xiaoer. It was my sister-in-law who got pregnant, and my brother asked me to find someone. You can decide what to do."
"Your sister-in-law is... pregnant?" He Chi stared at the two of them, somewhat incredulous. "Really?"
"Of course it's true, it couldn't be more true, I'm going to be the second uncle!" Fu Shiqin said proudly.
Fu Shiyi, holding a glass of red wine, said smugly.
"I'm going to be the third uncle."
He Chi tentatively believed their words, "No, it's because your brother and sister-in-law have a child. Are you two uncles being more smug than your brother is a father? Is that appropriate?"
They even opened a bottle of fine wine to celebrate. Even Fu Hanzheng, as a father, wouldn't do something like this.
"So what if I'm showing off? It's no use if you're envious or jealous," Fu Shiqin scoffed.
He Chi looked at the two idiots who were even more smug than some fathers, and asked, "How many months pregnant?"
This meant he had to find an obstetrician. How long had this been kept a secret from everyone? There hadn't been a single word about it.
“It’s been almost two months,” Fu Shiqin said.
"Why would you need to see an obstetrician after only two months?"
He Chi was completely exasperated by this ignorant family. She still had more than six months until her due date, and they were already urging her to find a good obstetrician. Were they in such a hurry?
"It's always better to be prepared. It's never a bad thing to start looking sooner," Fu Shiqin said.
After all, whether it's due to family reasons or her own fame, it's impossible for her to give birth in China; it would be too easy for the media to notice.
That's why they need to find someone in advance to arrange for them to go to Dubai to give birth in a timely manner.
"Besides obstetricians and gynecologists, we also need to find nutritionists and childcare specialists."
Fu Shiyi patted him on the shoulder and solemnly instructed him.
Upon hearing their plan, He Chi asked a question.
"So, you're not planning to tell the old house?"
"What's there to say? Of course, we'll talk about it after the baby is born." Fu Shiqin snorted and said, "When the time comes, we'll just put the little cutie in front of them, and they'll be begging my brother to remarry and bring the child back."
No matter what tricks they tried to pull in his brother’s remarriage plan, it was useless. Given how eager his father and the others were to have grandchildren, the children were their only weakness.
