Because they were told there would be aurora borealis, the two of them stayed up all night, sitting by the window of their guesthouse room, waiting for the aurora to appear.
However, Fu Shiqin became increasingly weak and eventually fell asleep by the window.
Ling Jiao reached out and nudged him, "Fu Shiqin?"
Fu Shiqin suddenly woke up and looked at her.
"What's wrong?"
"Go to bed and sleep. You don't need to wait with me," Ling Jiao suggested.
“I want to see it myself,” Fu Shiqin insisted.
"Then go to sleep first. If the aurora appears, I'll wake you up, okay?" Ling Jiao said helplessly.
Fu Shiqin yawned and muttered to himself.
"I feel... a little dizzy."
Ling Jiao frowned, reached out and touched his forehead, and exclaimed in surprise.
Why do you have a fever?
Fu Shiqin pulled his clothes tighter around himself, but still felt a bit cold.
"I've never been to such a cold place before. I guess I'm not good at keeping up with the cold."

Ling Jiao looked outside and asked.
"Do you have any cold medicine in the car?"

Ling Jiao got up and put on her coat. "I'll go out and see if any pharmacies are still open. You stay in the room and don't come out."
“I’ll go with you,” Fu Shiqin said.
"Alright, you're burning up like this, going out in the wind is suicidal!" Ling Jiao refused to let him go with her.
“I’m worried about you going alone. What if something happens to you, a girl, in a foreign country in the middle of the night?” Fu Shiqin said, putting on a hat and scarf, ready to be fully armed and go out with him. “Besides, I need someone to check my symptoms before I can buy medicine.”
Ling Jiao thought about it and agreed, so she waited for him to wrap himself up tightly before opening the door and going out together.
In order to find a pharmacy as soon as possible, she first went to the owner of the guesthouse to ask about the locations of pharmacies and hospitals in town.
It snowed again that night, and the roads were covered in snow, making it inconvenient for the two to drive, so they decided to walk out.
Fortunately, the town is small and the walking distance is not far.
However, when they found the pharmacy the landlord had mentioned, they discovered it had already closed down.
Moreover, it won't open until 9 a.m. tomorrow.
The two then went to the town's hospital. Although there was a doctor on duty, there was no one in the pharmacy.
So the doctor suggested he go home and use physical methods to lower his fever, and come back tomorrow to get his medication.
The two braved the snow to return to the guesthouse. Ling Jiao resolutely made Fu Shiqin lie on the bed and fetched hot water and towels to help him cool down physically.
“I told you to stay at the hotel, but you insisted on coming along.”
"Is it appropriate for you to criticize a patient like that?" Fu Shiqin asked pitifully, his face contorted with distress.
Ling Jiao sighed helplessly, "How about we go to Reykjavik at dawn? The medical care in the city is better."
The hospital in this small town can't have very good medical conditions, and it would be terrible if the illness was delayed.
“This round trip will waste a lot of time. What if the aurora appears after we leave?” Fu Shiqin said.
"What time is it, and you're still thinking about the aurora?" Ling Jiao said.
Fu Shiqin squinted, his voice a little hoarse.
"I hope you can see the Northern Lights, the lights you dream of seeing."
And he will be there to see it with her.
Ling Jiao remained silent for a long time, but finally spoke.
"If your condition doesn't improve by tomorrow, you must go to Reykjavik."
She hoped to see the Northern Lights on this trip, but she couldn't disregard his health and safety.
