As soon as filming wrapped up, Ling Jiao rushed back to the capital.
The agent picked them up at the airport, and after they got into the arranged van, he spoke directly.
"Your assistant is on leave for half a month, so Xiao Yang will be taking care of you recently."
The agent said, pointing to the temporary assistant who was already sitting in the car.
Ling Jiao smiled faintly and waved her hand as a greeting.
The agent lowered his voice and whispered.
"Anyway, work isn't too busy lately, so don't boss Xiao Yang around too much. She's a new trainee at the company, and she insisted on being your temporary assistant because she's a fan of yours."
Ling Jiao frowned and said in a low voice.
"Or you should choose another one."
These are trainees at the company; once they debut, they'll be colleagues, so she wouldn't dare order them around.
"The little girl begged and cried to come, I couldn't refuse," the agent said helplessly.
Ling Jiao rubbed her forehead, feeling somewhat irritated and unaccustomed to having strangers taking care of her.
“Your work recently ended, and you have a new movie that's in the casting stage. Why don't you recommend Xiao Yang to the director's team and see if you can get her a small role?” the agent whispered, offering her suggestion.
Ling Jiao stared at the agent for a few seconds. "You want me to bring people, so why do you have to use the excuse of a temporary assistant to shove them over here?"
This makes it common for established artists within a company to bring along newcomers to film projects.
However, this is something that generally no one is willing to do.
After all, if you bring them on, they'll become your future rivals, and you might not necessarily end up with anything good.
"This young lady is truly a fan of yours. She knows all the works you've acted in by heart. Moreover, because she admires you so much, she doesn't want to practice singing and dancing anymore and wants to learn acting. Just recommend her to me. It would be great if she gets selected, but even if she doesn't, it's still worth it for her to be your assistant." The agent whispered to her.
Ling Jiao stared at her agent for a few seconds, and finally nodded helplessly.
Since Fu Shiqin helped her switch to this agent, they have had a pleasant working relationship. She handles problems promptly and always manages to secure good resources for her.
Judging from her tone, she seems to be planning to sign this newcomer over and mentor him herself.
"This will only happen once."
Aside from working together, she doesn't really enjoy interacting with strangers in her daily life.
"Understood." The agent nodded with a smile.
Ling Jiao put on an eye mask and closed her eyes to rest. "Call me when we get there."
Today we're shooting an advertisement for a brand under the Fu family. Fu Shiqin originally arranged for this endorsement to be signed directly with the agent. Although they've broken up now, the contract is still being honored.
Moreover, it's just one of the brands under the Fu family, not at the Fu family's headquarters, so he probably wouldn't run into it.
She took a nap in the car, and her agent woke her up.
"We've arrived, get off the bus."
Ling Jiao removed her blindfold and got out of the car. Her new assistant dutifully helped her with her things and handed her a thermos.

Ling Jiao took the coffee and took a sip. "Thanks. What's your name?"
She just finished filming and is still half asleep. It's really thoughtful of me to prepare coffee for her in advance.
"Yang Shasha," the temporary assistant replied with a smile.
Ling Jiao nodded, and as soon as she entered the photo studio, the stylist called her to change clothes and do her makeup.
Yang Shasha sat to one side with her bag and cup, chatting with her while she did her makeup, her words revealing her admiration.
"Sister Ling, can I call you sister from now on? I've always wanted to have a sister."
Ling Jiao smiled faintly, "Okay."
Anyway, that's what her assistant usually calls her.
"Sister Ling Jiao, you and Young Master Fu... have you really broken up?" Yang Shasha asked curiously.
