Fu Hanzheng has been in F country for more than three days.
The test results He Chi gave them still indicated that the deceased was Mu Weiwei, whom they were looking for.
When Fu Shiyi saw his brother receive the report from He Chi, it was as if half of his soul and spirit had been sucked away in an instant.
For three days, his brother didn't sleep a wink, working with the F country's Ministry of State Security to track down the terrorists.
Of the seven who fled, four have already been shot and killed during the pursuit.
He Chi and Fu Shiyi were worried and followed him like two tails.
“Only three people are left on the run. If these three are caught and killed, what will your brother do?” He Chi asked in a low voice.
From the moment he received the report, he barely uttered a word, except for ordering the pursuit of the fugitives.
Right now, we're only holding on by a burning hatred for those who carried out the hotel attack, until we catch and kill them all.
What will he rely on to keep going? This is what He Chi is worried about.
"You're asking me? How would I know?" Fu Shiyi said softly.
His brother worked tirelessly, like a robot, ordering people to hunt down the fugitives. He was afraid something would happen to him, so he didn't dare close his eyes.
Now, everyone's thinking of knocking his brother unconscious with a stick and making him go to sleep.
He Chi: "How about I go back to China first and talk to my psychiatrist about your brother's situation?"
Once all those people are arrested, Fu Hanzheng will still have to deal with Mu Weiwei's matter.
Without psychological counseling, I'm really afraid he might do something drastic.
Fu Shiyi thought for a moment, then said, "Okay, you can go back now."
He Chi didn't go to say goodbye to Fu Hanzheng at this time. Instead, he went back to the lab to pick up his things and return to China.
When I went back to pack up my equipment, I suddenly noticed that one of the items felt a little different.
He compared the items one by one, then on a whim, he went out and rushed to St. Martin's Hospital to get new samples.
Then, we went back to the lab and did the DNA comparison again.
I spent three hours in the lab, and was overjoyed to get the results.
"Wrong, it was wrong!"
He grabbed his things and ran all the way to where Fu Hanzheng and Fu Shiyi were.
"Wrong, that report is wrong!"
"What's wrong?" Fu Shiyi was completely bewildered by his erratic behavior.
He Chi took a breath and said.
"The DNA test that proved the deceased was Mu Weiwei was wrong."
"Wrong?" Fu Shiyi looked at him and said softly, "I know you want to help, but you don't need to lie now, do you?"
He probably saw that his brother was in such a bad state, so he changed his story and said that there was a problem with the report, trying to make his brother believe that it wasn't Mu Weiwei who died.
"Shut up." He Chi grabbed a jade pendant from his neck and said, "I swear on my mother's heirloom, if I'm lying to you, I'm your grandson."
Fu Hanzheng was silent for a moment, then asked, "Why is it wrong?"
He Chi: "I just went back to the lab to pack my things, I'm getting ready to go back to Beijing..."
Fu Shiyi: "Get to the point, can't you just get to the point already?"
"That's the key point," He Chi retorted, turning to Fu Hanzheng, "I was just packing up and found that my things had been tampered with. Although the experimental equipment is usually the same, I'm a bit of a perfectionist. Mine may look the same, but the materials are different. And the equipment I use to hold samples is not the same material as my other equipment..."
"And then what? And then what?" Fu Shiyi asked urgently.
“I just took a new sample and did a new test. The person who died… wasn’t Mu Weiwei.” He Chi said, handing the new report to Fu Hanzheng. “Someone has been watching us and tampered with my things.”
“That means…” Fu Shiyi slowly looked at his own brother.
A glimmer of hope bloomed in Fu Hanzheng's lifeless eyes.
That means she's still alive.
Otherwise, no one would keep watching them and hope they would believe she was dead.
