Gu Weiwei slept for nearly ten hours and woke up on the third night after Youyou went missing.
As soon as she woke up, another message came in on her phone.
Another video of Youyou, and Gu Siting's reminder: Three days are almost up, have you thought it through?
She sat on the bed, watching the video of the child over and over again.
Finally, gritting her teeth, she wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, got up from the bed, and took out the ring she had previously gotten from Yuan Meng from the jewelry box.
She went out from the master bedroom; only Keiko Kuroda and the family's maid were in the living room.
"Madam, you're awake. Dinner is ready. Would you like to eat now?"
"I'm going out for a bit, we'll talk when Mr. Gu returns," Gu Weiwei said, heading straight to change her shoes and prepare to leave.
Keiko Kuroda sensed something was wrong and immediately followed her out the door.
"Weiwei, Fu Hanzheng and the others are in Leining..."
However, Gu Weiwei went straight to the garage and got into her car.
Keiko Kuroda got into the car. "Are you going to the Gu family?"
Gu Weiwei started the car, drove it out of the garage, and prepared to leave the villa area.
"Time is running out, I have to go."
She thought that finding that person would lead her to Youyou, but it was all for naught again.
There's no more time to search now, and only with Gu Siting can she get more information about Youyou.
"But aren't you going to tell Fu Hanzheng?" Kuroda Keiko said worriedly.
Gu Weiwei shook her head. Talking would only make her more upset; it was better to just leave.
“They arrested that person and are questioning him; perhaps they have new leads,” Keiko Kuroda said.
“Even if there are new clues, it’s too late. That madman Gu Siting, if I don’t go back on time, what will he do to Youyou? I don’t dare to think about it.” Gu Weiwei’s tears welled up instantly when she mentioned her son.
Keiko Kuroda pursed her lips, and could only remain silent for the time being, accompanying her as she left China.
Half an hour after they left, Fu Hanzheng figured Gu Weiwei should be waking up, so he rushed home.
Upon entering the house, I went straight to the master bedroom, but there was no one there.
"Where's the wife?"
The maid asked in surprise, "Madam went out. Didn't she go looking for you?"
"They went out?" Fu Hanzheng felt uneasy. "How long have they been gone?"
"She left half an hour ago. Miss Kuroda went out with her," the maid said.
Fu Hanzheng dialed Gu Weiwei's number while grabbing his car keys and heading out.
Upon hearing this, Fu Shiyi and Yuan Meng also went out.
"What happened? It's so late, where could your sister-in-law have gone?"
Yuan Meng volunteered to be the driver, while Fu Hanzheng sat in the back, dialing the phone again and again, but no one answered.
"Yuanmeng, do you have Kuroda Keiko's phone number?"
"We're not particularly familiar with this, so we don't have it," Yuan Meng said helplessly.
So, after driving out of the villa area, she didn't know where to go for a moment.
Just as the group was worrying, Fu Hanzheng received a message from an unknown number on his phone.
[Mr. Fu, Weiwei is going to the Gu family.]
Fu Hanzheng immediately recognized the message as coming from Kuroda Keiko and replied to inquire about their location.
Keiko Kuroda quietly reported their location in the message, as well as the place where they were preparing to leave the country.
Gu Weiwei drove to the pier, where there are usually smuggling boats that can take people out of China as long as you pay enough money.
However, when they arrived at the dock and found a boat, Keiko Kuroda said she had an upset stomach and went to the restroom, which took almost half an hour.
Before Kuroda Keiko came out, Fu Hanzheng arrived instead.
