On the way back, the two held hands, but didn't say a word to each other.
When Fu Shiqin saw that they had returned, he couldn't wait to have the servants serve the food and prepare to eat. But he saw his sister-in-law run upstairs without looking back.
So, he looked at his own brother.
"Were you having a fight?"
Fu Hanzheng's brows furrowed slightly. "Are you really hoping we'll argue?"
After saying that, he went upstairs.
As soon as I entered the master bedroom, I saw her rummaging through drawers and cabinets in the walk-in closet looking for something.
He watched for a while and saw that she was getting more and more anxious as she searched.
"Looking for what?"
"Where's my ring? Where did you put my ring?" Gu Weiwei asked as she searched.
It's all his fault. He gave her so many diamonds and jewelry for no reason, making it so hard for her to find a ring.
Fu Hanzheng approached and took out a ring box from the corner of the drawer where jewelry was kept.
Gu Weiwei took it out and was about to put it on her hand when he grabbed her hand.
"Wait a moment."
Gu Weiwei quickly grabbed the ring and hid it behind her back. "I gave it to you, do you still want it back?"
"Wearing a ring is something you don't do yourself."
As Fu Hanzheng spoke, he reached out his hand and asked her for it.
Gu Weiwei stared at him for a few seconds before taking out the ring and handing it to him.
Fu Hanzheng took it and asked.
"Have you decided to become Mrs. Fu?"
"Wear it if you want, otherwise I'll do it myself. Why all the fuss?" Gu Weiwei urged impatiently.
Fu Hanzheng chuckled and put the ring on her left ring finger.
I thought she rushed upstairs to do something, but it turns out she was looking for this.
Gu Weiwei waved her hand in front of him, "Who said I regretted it? You said it yourself. Wear this ring, and I will be Mrs. Fu."
“Yes, Mrs. Fu.” Fu Hanzheng chuckled.
Gu Weiwei was finally satisfied and went downstairs to eat. Just as she sat down, a maid brought her porridge.
"Miss Mu, your porridge."
Upon hearing this, Gu Weiwei extended her hand, which was adorned with a ring, and said...
"From now on, you should call her Mrs. Fu."
The maid smiled and glanced at Fu Hanzheng. Seeing him nod, she quickly responded.
"Yes, ma'am."
Fu Shiqin looked at the person who was inexplicably concerned about how they were addressed with their name with a strange expression. "I never cared what people called you before, but today you're making a fuss about it. What's going on?"
Gu Weiwei glanced at her sideways and said, "You haven't called her sister-in-law yet."
"..." Fu Shiqin, who was gnawing on a rib, was stunned.
He didn't call out, so Gu Weiwei just stared at him.
Then, his brother looked at him too.
He glanced at the two of them and resignedly called out.
"……sister in law."
Gu Weiwei was finally satisfied and continued eating. After finishing her meal, she put down her bowl and prepared to go upstairs.
Fu Hanzheng reminded her, "Mrs. Fu, you haven't taken your medicine yet."
Gu Weiwei obediently returned, sat down, and drank her medicine before going back to her room. Seeing the mess she had made of her walk-in closet, she had no choice but to tidy it up.
Fu Hanzheng answered a phone call before slowly coming upstairs. He approached the dressing room and embraced her from behind.
"Are you angry, Mrs. Fu?"
"Which ear of yours heard me say I regret getting married?" Gu Weiwei snorted irritably.
Fu Hanzheng grabbed her hand, which was adorned with a ring, and lifted it up. Looking at the dazzling ring on her slender, fair fingers, he smiled and said...
"I was wrong, Mrs. Fu."
After thinking about it carefully, I realized that she was probably thinking that if she were honest, she wasn't sure if he would still marry her, rather than thinking about herself.
But apart from her, who else had he ever thought of marrying and spending his life with?
