Gu Weiwei lowered her long eyelashes, concealing the fleeting sadness in her eyes.
"Why? Because her surname is Gu?"
Fu Hanzheng put his arm around her and lowered his head to kiss her forehead.
"Because the one I love is you, and it will only be you."
Gu Weiwei reached out and hugged his neck, resting her head on his shoulder as she looked out the window behind him.
The question that had lingered in my mind countless times came to mind once again.
Fu Hanzheng, if I were Gu Weiwei, would you still like me this much?
No matter who I am, would you still like me this much?
Fu Hanzheng put down the documents and removed the hand that was around his neck.
"What's wrong?"
Gu Weiwei gently tilted her head back and kissed his thin lips with her cherry lips.
"I'm leaving tomorrow morning, do you still have to work?"
"There's one more thing."
Fu Hanzheng chuckled, picked up the documents again, and prepared to finish his work as soon as possible.
Gu Weiwei turned his face to look at her, "Is work more important than me?"
Fu Hanzheng reluctantly put down the documents, picked up the person, and left the study.
"Of course you're important."
However, such rare acts of initiative always lead to rather serious consequences.
Less than two hours after returning to the room, she wanted nothing more than to kick him back to the study to work.
In the middle of the night, Fu Hanzheng took her to the bathroom to take a shower before rushing to his study to finish the rest of his work.
I had just finished work when Raymond called.
"The Gu family doesn't seem to have reacted to Karans's investigation."
Fu Hanzheng was silent for a moment, "Not a single thing is amiss?"
“No, either they have already destroyed all the evidence, or Gu Weiwei’s death really has nothing to do with them,” Raymond said.
Fu Hanzheng remained silent for a while with a solemn expression. According to what Yuan Shuo had told Weiwei, it was impossible for that to be unrelated to the Gu family.
"Have you found the Ling family?"
After the person died, their heart was transplanted to Ling Yan; perhaps there's something fishy going on behind the scenes.
“They should have already started investigating; it’s not appropriate for us to get involved,” Raymond said.
Fu Hanzheng: "Just keep an eye on the progress."
"Oh, right, there's one more thing..." Raymond called out to Fu Hanzheng, who was about to hang up the phone, and said with a smile, "Second Young Master, Third Young Master, and Dr. He met up sneakily today."
Fu Hanzheng frowned. "I understand."
Their secretive meetings are almost always related to him.
Sure enough, I've been too idle lately.
He hung up the phone and returned to his bedroom, where Gu Weiwei had already taken a shower and was fast asleep in bed.
He habitually pulled her into his arms, looked down at the girl's peaceful sleeping face, and sighed almost imperceptibly.
"Weiwei, what exactly are you still doubting?"
He has always loved only her, but she always seemed unsure whether he truly loved her.
Even though he had said countless times that she was the only one he loved.
Even though they were already preparing to get married.
She always seemed to doubt that his feelings for her were deep or firm enough.
Early in the morning, the alarm rang twice before Gu Weiwei lazily turned over, reached out and hugged his waist, snuggling in his arms.
What time is it?
"If you don't get up soon, you'll miss your flight," Fu Hanzheng reminded him.
Gu Weiwei sighed in distress, got up to wash and change her clothes, ate a simple breakfast, and got into his car, letting Fu Hanzheng take her to the airport.
Qiao Lin received the call and came directly to the parking lot to pick up the person.
He had just taken the luggage and walked a few steps when he heard the artist behind him call out.
"Uncle Fu!"
He turned his head and saw his artist making a big heart shape with both hands above his head in front of Fu Hanzheng, who was about to get into the car.
Is it appropriate to be so cloying so early in the morning?
