"I'm here to save you," Ye Feng said succinctly.
"Help me?"
A spark of hope rekindled in Yu Xiaosang's eyes, only to be quickly overshadowed by even greater worries.
"Are you someone sent by my Yu family? How are they? Did they pay a heavy price to save me?"
She worried that her family would clash with the Nangong family again in an attempt to save her, which would be tantamount to throwing an egg against a rock.
"Not entirely." Ye Feng shook his head. "I was entrusted by your Yu family to rescue you through some channel."
"A mission?" Yu Xiaosang was taken aback for a moment, then understood.
It's probably a bounty-based mission.
Perhaps, at a very high price.
Yu Xiaosang felt a pang of sorrow in her heart. As expected, her family no longer had the power to rescue her directly and could only resort to this method.
She took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down; now was not the time to be sentimental.
