Chapter 25

Chapter 25

/

What is it like to have siblings?

Noble and Hinata Norihisa can get along quite well on this point.

Hinata Norihisa occasionally recalls his past life.

"Oh, you're the fourth boy, the youngest. You're the little brother."

"Why, want to fight?"

Noble laughed. "No, because I'm the eldest... boy. I only have one sister. As for you, because you're the youngest, will your parents treat you differently from your older brothers? Do they ask for less?"

"Yes."

He was the youngest, with three older brothers. He would never inherit the Hyuga Club, and it didn't even matter if he didn't get involved in gangs. His parents had no expectations of him, practically letting him do what he wanted. His brothers didn't mind either, and would even take him out to play.

"I still remember one summer when my second and third brothers took me to the woods to catch bugs. They were so happy playing that they left me in the woods and went home, completely forgetting about me. My eldest brother asked them where I had been, and then they came looking for me. He didn't dare tell my parents, so the three of us spent the entire night searching in the woods. Our legs were covered in bug bites, and we scratched because they were itchy, leaving scars that haven't faded for years."

"Well...the three of them went out looking for it all night but your parents didn't find them?"

"I was discovered, but that wasn't the reason. I found my way home on my own, but the three of them couldn't find me all night. The next morning, they knelt in the living room and said they were going to commit seppuku to apologize... I was almost scared to death when I woke up to eat. Oh, they were also scared, thinking I had died outside and my ghost had come back to look for them."

"You've had a lot of trouble too." Noble comforted him.

"What about you? I'm sometimes curious about my eldest brother's thoughts. What's it like to be the eldest son?"

"I have to be the best at everything... I have to be a good person, have good grades, and play the violin well... Anyway, I have to be excellent at everything."

"Tsk, tsk, tsk," he smacked his lips, "You really are the young master of a wealthy family. How did you end up in Little Asia? Violin? No one in my family has such a refined talent. Are you going to learn to do re mi?"

Noble skipped the previous question and tried to recall her violin days. Back then, she hadn't liked practicing the basics diligently, so she had a bit of a grudge against the violin. But now, she actually felt a bit nostalgic: "Hey...it's been several years. If you want to talk about music theory..."

His voice gradually lowered.

The two were silent for a while, and then Hinata Norihisa asked again, "How does it feel to have a younger sister?"

"She was just this small when she was born. She was a premature baby and was in an incubator in the hospital," Noble gestured. "I hated her so much... Mom and Dad loved her so much and took care of her so well. I went to see her every day, and I often wondered if she would die suddenly. But she survived and grew up day by day."

The wrinkled little baby slept most of the day, but strangely, every time he left, the child would try its best to roll towards him through the glass.

"She's noisy every day, either crying or giggling. She's become even more annoying as she gets older. She always wants to run after you, and she can't walk steadily. She always needs someone to carry her down the stairs, or she'll roll from the top to the bottom. She does disgusting things all day in kindergarten... She insists on hiding the milk the teacher gives her under her clothes. Who needs that little milk? It gets stinky even if you bring it home in the middle of summer. At her kindergarten graduation performance, she played a tree. It was so embarrassing! She couldn't even get a lead role! She looked so ugly, and she had to wear that costume for the family photo."

"And then? After I started elementary school, I guess."

"Then not long after that, she came with me to Little Asia," Noble said. "As for now, I don't know where she is."

For a while, Noble thought that Hinata Norihisa had fallen asleep because of this boring story, but then he heard him say: "How about, come and do it with me after you get out of prison."

Noble said, "Get lost. I don't want to be in the underworld anymore."

I'm really scared of this.

/

Noble felt like he had been in this prison for a very long time, but when he calculated the time, it was less than three years. During this time, someone had gotten some news about the girl, saying that she had most likely been discarded by the Katsuya team as useless, and her life or death was unknown.

He became more and more silent.

As time passed day after day, he could feel the transformation of his body. His strength grew stronger day by day, and he became less and less like a man day by day.

Teenagers can be somewhat androgynous, but adults are not.

He needs to be released from jail as soon as possible. He has behaved well in jail, but no one outside can bail him out.

/

Noble spent another New Year's Day in prison.

The prison budget might have been a bit extra this year, so they actually gave me a thick mattress. This will make the winter a little more comfortable.

The news broadcast was also suspended, and everyone was watching the Red and White Song Contest this time.

Then the next day was the recording of the Red and White Song Contest.

The third day is still the recording of the Red and White Song Festival.

Just when everyone was complaining that they already knew how to sing those songs, a new batch of prisoners came in.

"There's a new guy who's not easy to deal with." said little brother A.

Noble hummed, still watching TV, when he realized one of the idols on TV was actually his junior high school classmate. Her status was a bit fringe, and Noble only recognized her after watching her for the fourth time.

Oh my god. That's pretty impressive too.

That classmate even asked him to copy his homework.

Noble didn't care about the new tough guy. He took the melon seeds from his little brother B's hands and said, "I had dinner with her." Although it was only in the school cafeteria.

Little brother C looked at the beauty on TV, then looked at Noble, whose hair was like a bird's nest and whose face was dirty. He was sitting cross-legged, looking like a typical street urchin, and decided not to say anything.

But someone sneered, "You?"

Noble turned his head and squinted at the man who spoke in a sarcastic tone. After staring for a while, his melon seeds fell.

He uttered a meaningless "Ah", stood up suddenly and stepped back.

"What? Are you trying to run away?" Jesse asked. He pressed forward until Noble had nowhere to retreat. He grabbed Noble's shoulders, his eyes dark and unfathomable. "...Answer me."

Some people nearby were stunned, and some tried to stop Jesse. Noble smiled bitterly and waved his hand to let them go.

Noble said, "Let's talk somewhere else." He didn't dare ask Jesse to let go first. He had a feeling that would only anger Jesse.

"……good."

Before meeting Noble, Jesse imagined himself facing him. He might be angry, or relieved. But now he was the one who was deflated.

Just like when he kept asking questions in Katsuya's group, the more pressing he seemed on the surface, the more pleading he felt inside. He thought to himself, give me an explanation, give me an explanation I can accept.

...That's enough.
