Chapter 30

Chapter 30

/

Hinata had been out of prison a long time ago. He was looking for trouble everywhere. Even Sakurai Minami, who was content to be a otaku and only went out occasionally to buy something, heard about him.

Jiulong released Hinata in order to control Sword by controlling him, but he ended up acting as a troublemaker, making Sword's situation even more confusing.

It was at this time that Li finally made a move and took Amber to discuss with Jiacun.

Jiacun would hate Amber, but he had to rely on Amber first.

/

Amber has great autonomy. He chose to find Cobra and Yamato and tried to make Sanno's people under his control, but was rejected.

Cobra and Yamato once admired Kohaku and were willing to be led by him. But now, time has passed, Kohaku is no longer the same Kohaku, and Cobra and Yamato have people who need their protection more.

Li prepared helpers for Amber to take over the sword. Like an artist eager to introduce his work, he presented the gray organizations Mighty Warriors and Doubt who came from afar.

Doubt is also an acquaintance. Sakurai Minami was "taken care of" by them when she was still in Little Asia. Ranmaru is still in prison, and now his former right-hand men are Hirai and Takano. Doubt makes money by women and children. When Sakurai Minami was a child in Little Asia when Noble was young, they regarded her as a commodity, and now as a woman, they still look at her with contempt.

Sakurai Minami knew very well that they would not change unless they came into contact with death.

Sakurai Minami quietly played in the background, along with Ninety-Nine. The main character was Amber, and the supporting characters were the Mighty Warriors, who were being introduced. They were led by Ice, whom she knew, and Bernie was also among them. Jesse explained that they were making a lot of money, and besides being busy fighting, they were also making the music they loved. Bernie had always wanted to play music, and now it seemed like it had finally come true.

For several years, it seemed as if only her time had stopped.

/

Li did not allow Sakurai Minami to visit Luo Qian Prison, and she could only communicate through letters.

Mail delivery is very slow, and the prison has to check the contents of the letters, so it may take more than ten days for them to go back and forth.

Sakurai Minami really couldn't think of what was interesting about the life of a otaku, nor could she find out about Li's past. After all, she had to deal with other people in the middle, and it would take several days to put together a daily account that wasn't embarrassing.

I got my hair cut, bought new clothes, was ignored by the boss (Amber), glared at by the boss (Lee), and chatted with the boss's little brother (Ninety-nine).

When signing her name at the end, she was not sure whether to write Noble or Sakurai Minami, so she just wrote Sakurai.

Jesse wrote back much faster than she did. He was always sharp, and the first half of the letter was filled with questions one after another.

What is Sakurai? Did you change your name? And so on.

She first answered these questions: Sakurai was her previous name.

She tried her best to answer Jesse's questions one by one. If she couldn't answer any of them, she would just ignore them. After all, Jesse wouldn't rush out and beat her up. Then she would read Jesse's next words.

He said that right after she left, For was imprisoned in Luoqian Prison, perhaps because God did not want them to meet. The reason for his imprisonment was that For had committed a crime outside Little Asia for the sake of his children.

For, we're old acquaintances. It seems he still likes children as always.

She continued reading and realized that prison life was just the same routine. She had experienced it before and there was nothing special about it.

Sakurai finally finished writing his reply, sealed it, and mailed it.

/

During this time, something new was happening in the Bay Area. The Mighty Warriors opened a bar there called Funk Jungle.

ICE politely invited Li and his group. Jiujiu wasn't interested in bars; he was a chain smoker, but not a drinker. Kohaku wasn't interested in anything beyond taking down Sword. Li was also busy, but mostly a decent leader. He explicitly forbade Sakurai Minami from wandering around Sword, but allowed a visit to the Bay Area.

"Do you want to go there and play?"

Sakurai Minami agreed, then went to Li to ask for more money. While there was still a lot left from the last payment, the fact that Li could afford to hire those greedy people like Doubt showed that he could still squeeze a lot more money out of them. Since Li didn't pay wages, the workers could only rely on their own cleverness and wisdom to get whatever they could.

Having said that, I haven't had a drink in a long time.

/

When Sakurai Minami went there, Funk Jungle had already been open for a few days, but the number of people was still quite high.

The DJs on stage were from the Mighty Warriors, and the singers were also from the Mighty Warriors. Perhaps they'd be better suited to debuting as a band than as a gang.

She squeezed through the crowd and worked her way to the other end. There was only one woman sitting on a chair at the bar, holding a glass. A group of drunk men were lying on the ground. She sat next to the woman. The bartender didn't offer any names of the drinks, and she had never had a cocktail before. "What would you like to drink?" she asked with a smile.

"Same as her." She looked at the wine glass of the woman next to her.

The other person turned his head to look at her: "...Oh, it's you."

Sakurai Minami also recognized her; she was also a member of the Mighty Warriors. She was very beautiful, and stood out among the men. Perhaps for the same reason, she recognized Sakurai Minami immediately.

The bartender quickly brought the glass over. Sakurai took it, and the woman raised her glass and clinked it lightly: "Sarah."

"Sakurai."

More men gathered around. Sarah was not surprised and just asked softly, "Can you drink?"

Sakurai Minami looked up at the liquor cabinet. She didn't know the names of the cocktails, but she knew the liquor. She said to the bartender, "Bourbon whiskey, any brand. Two bottles, please."

Sarah smiled.

/

"Sarah, you got so many people drunk again?" Pearl covered her head. "Hey, why is there someone sitting next to you today... Oh, she's also a beauty."

Sarah was quite impatient - any woman who has been with a lot of stupid men for a long time would be like this, even if the stupid men are handsome and a little smooth-talking. And she was a little drunk now. "Shut up, Pearl, tell them to move away, or just leave them alone."

Pearl made a zippering motion. He saw a dozen empty bottles of wine on the table next to the strange woman and wondered why there was another Sarah No. 2. The bartender shrugged helplessly behind him.

The bar was almost closing, and Pearl made an exaggerated expression: "Ladies, we really should go home!"

Ignoring the yelling man, Sarah asked, "Do you work for Li?"

"Trade, just like you guys."

"What kind of organization is the Mighty Warriors?"

"An organization formed to build a utopia."

"Utopia..." Sakurai Minami murmured.

I don't know when Pearl stopped talking.

Sarah tilted her head back and drank the remaining wine in the glass. Sakurai Nan turned to the bartender and asked, "How much?"

"The loser pays for the drinks." Sarah chuckled and looked down at the men on the ground.

Sakurai Nan smiled and extended her hand: "Nice to meet you."

Sarah shook hands: "See you next time."

Pearl stared in amazement at the two women's newly formed friendship. Sarah turned and glanced at him. "Why, you want to be a protector?"

When they talked about Li, he finally remembered that he had met this woman before. Someone from Li's side? That was really interesting. So he readily agreed, "Okay." This was really interesting, and he really wanted to find out more about Li. ICE would be happy about that.

Pearl and Bernie were like-minded, their two conspicuous bags often annoying to look at. But to be fair, Pearl wasn't a bad looker, and when he got serious, he was quite popular with the ladies. Sarah loved to watch the fun, and "Sakurai" was similar to her in some ways: she was curious, curious about all sorts of things. She nodded at Sakurai Minami and turned to leave.

Sakurai Nan didn't care about these thoughts. She took so much money from Li and drank free wine. It was pure profit. She rejected Pearl: "No, thank you."

After all, in her experience, she'd been more of the "messenger" than the "flower" among the flower protectors. Women always made her feel more approachable. She felt a bit dizzy the moment she stood up. She stepped around Pearl and walked in a straight line along the floor grid. She wasn't too crooked, which was good; it proved her brain and legs were still in the same body. Perhaps she could stay at the bar? Just like the group of men on the ground, who didn't know what to do with them.

"I'll follow you, okay? It's late now and it's not safe outside." He said it nicely.

"Need not."

“Are you Li’s woman?”

Sakurai Minami paused, this was too far-fetched, she shook her head: "Although it may be that I am over-conscious - but I advise you better not to think about it, you will regret it." Sakurai Minami is not a person who does not understand romance, so she must say it in advance. If the man in front of her wants to show off his skills in picking up girls, and he is a member of the Mighty Warriors, and she has known Bernie and ICE before, although there is no enmity, the situation will always become complicated in the end.

This complexity may not mean anything like Romeo and Juliet, it may just be simple gossip and a little embarrassment.

Pearl had no idea what might happen to her in the future because of her impulsive behavior. At this moment, she only heard a little opportunity from the words: "I have no intention of doing anything. We are a cooperative relationship and will become partners in the future. Have a little trust, okay, lady?"

Sakurai couldn't help but laugh: "...If you have any ulterior motives, you can only die to atone for your sins."

"It's my honor." Pearl made a funny knight's salute.
