Chapter 36

Chapter 36

In fact, Sakurai Minami didn't really want to go to Luo Qian Prison. She knew too many people there, and it hadn't been long since she was released from prison. Her current attitude would definitely be very conspicuous if she went there.

But Jesse's reply should arrive soon. If nothing unexpected happened, the mailing address should be where she had sent the letter. Now that Li had run away and lost his house, there was a high chance the letter wouldn't reach him. But she had to see Jesse, or else she didn't know what to do if she got caught. She was quite afraid of Jesse, after all, she had truly hurt him back then.

Fortunately, when he went to visit Hinata, he gave him the news that Jesse had been transferred to Sunkings Prison.

There are two prisons in the Sword area: Luoqian Prison and Sunkings. Generally speaking, prisoners are sent to Luoqian; unless they are extremely vicious, they are not sent to Sunkings. Previously, when Sakurai was slamming someone's head on the ground, Luoqian had considered transferring Sakurai to Sunkings. However, she was indeed provocative, and she usually behaved well. Most importantly, she was also very disciplined and would assist the prison guards in suppressing the situation when necessary. Therefore, she was placed under observation.

Hinata asked, "What are you going to do next?" He was not surprised to see Sakurai like this. Sakurai suspected that he had known it for a long time.

Sometimes Hinata is a bit like a pig playing the pig to eat the tiger. He always looks crazy, but no one knows what he is thinking in his heart.

"Go find something for Jiulong to do."

"Oh. So ambitious. Remember to call me if you need anything."

"Sure." She held out her hand.

"what?"

"High five!" Sakurai Minami said as a matter of course.

Hinata Norihisa had a speechless expression, but he still reached out and clapped his hands. He thought about how this guy in front of him used to be depressed, like a mountain weighing down his head, but now he was better. He was much more lively, but he seemed a little bit like he was asking for a beating.

"Goodbye."

"Don't die out there, Sakurai."

"I won't die earlier than you." She said with a smile.

The procedure for visiting Sunkings was a bit more complicated. First, you had to fill out an application, wait for it to be approved, and then someone would be called in. She sat in the meeting room, bored to death.

Jesse was still involved in a group fight in there. Sunkings's requirements for prisoners were even more lenient than Luo Qian's, so he was able to do it easily and soon formed a gang to become a bully in the prison.

The prison guard watched for a while and felt that the beating would take a while. However, the girl was pretty and spoke softly and politely. He usually hung out with this group of stinky men, so the girl seemed particularly cute. He didn't have the heart to make her wait too long.

"Hey! Jesse, your girlfriend is here to see you!" He remembered that when the girl was filling out the report, she hesitated for a long time before writing "friend" in the column of her relationship with the prisoner. Alas, Jesse really didn't know how to appreciate the blessing he had.

"Me?" Jesse pointed at himself. After the prison guard nodded in agreement, he felt even more confused. "Where did I get a girlfriend?"

"Call Sakurai! She's been waiting for a long time!"

Sakurai, Sakurai... Oh, oh, it's him. Ah, why is she called my girlfriend? Why is it "she"?

He kicked away the guy who was still pestering him and said, "You guys keep fighting." He instructed his companions beside him.

He quickly left the battlefield and followed the prison guard all the way to the meeting room, but was stunned.

Oh, here I am. I am so slow. She raised her head and said hello to Jesse: "Jesse. Jesse? Come here, don't just stand there."

That ICE guy only said there was a surprise, but he didn't say it was "her".

After a while, Jesse muttered, "Well, this is better." Then he started walking again and sat down opposite Sakurai.

"Is Sword finished fighting?"

"Um."

"Have you found your sister?"

"Found it. Apparently?"

Jesse looked her up and down: "It's quite obvious." His eyes lit up and he was obviously more energetic.

Sakurai Minami turned her head to avoid his gaze: "Did you reply to my letter last time? I didn't receive it. I don't have a stable address now. I will write to you when I have one."

"I see. Just send it to the Mighty Warriors. ICE told me they saw you. Anyway, where are you going next? How about going to the Mighty Warriors? They'd love to take you in."

"I... guess I have to go back to my hometown first."

"So, you're here to say goodbye, right? Am I right?"

Sakurai Nan scratched his head and sighed: "I have to go take care of some things, some family matters."

"I guess it has something to do with Kowloon."

She suddenly looked up, and Jesse gave her an expression that said, "See, I'm right, aren't I?" "There will be big moves after Kowloon, and I'll be out before then. Be careful."

Sakurai Minami breathed a sigh of relief. She gave out a phone number: "If you get out of prison, remember to call me."

Jesse gave an OK sign and slouched back in his chair. "I'm leaving now."

"Well, there's still a lot to do after all. See you later."

"See you later." Jesse didn't ask for a promise. If she said something, she would definitely do it as long as she could do it. If she couldn't do it... then there was no way she could do it. After all, she had promised to go to America with them, but it didn't happen.

If she really had to go up against Jiulong, it would be troublesome. Liu's side would also be a big problem.

He watched Sakurai leave, then stood up and turned to go back. The guard at the door asked, "Are you done talking to your girlfriend?"

He thoughtfully left enough space for the two of them to talk.

"We're done talking."

At least he saw a glimmer of hope. Friend? Partner? Those identities would never be as important as "sister." But now, he knew what his goal should be.

Sword was quite remote, and Sakurai Minami had to go around in circles before finally returning to Kyoto. It had been quite a while, and Kyoto had changed more than she had imagined.

The old house had burned down, leaving only rubble. It hadn't been demolished and rebuilt; it just sat there, with a sign on the door saying "Sakurai House." There was also a "Dangerous Building" notice. She heard children playing behind the fence, and she leaned over the railing to peek inside. She saw a few kids who had somehow gotten in and were playing around. She was much higher up than before, so it should be much easier for her to climb over the railing. She smiled and said, "Be careful not to get caught by the police if you sneak into someone else's house."

The children hadn't expected to be discovered. They looked at each other in bewilderment, then scattered, climbing out one by one through the small hole in the fence. Oh, had a hole been dug by a child or a puppy over the years?

"Goodbye." She said goodbye to her family.

Then we went to my grandmother's house. Compared with the Sakurai family's single-family house, the Matsubara house was much more grand.

There was someone stationed at the door, and Fujii asked him to announce: "Just say it's 'little monkey'."

After all, when she was little, her parents occasionally sent her to her grandmother's house. Her grandmother always doted on her. Even if she messed around, she would just scold her with a smile on her face: "What a little naughty monkey."

The doorman suspiciously informed the people inside by phone, but to his surprise, the answer came quickly, saying that old lady Songyuan wanted to see her.

Ever since Mrs. Songyuan's husband and daughter passed away one after another, she rarely saw people from outside.

"Do you need a guide?"

"No thanks." She stepped into Songyuan's house. After so many years, the route to Songyuan's house had become vague in her memory, but now that she really walked in again, she unexpectedly found that she still remembered which way to go.

Old Madam Songyuan was already waiting in the reception room.
