Chapter 45

After the USB flash drive was uploaded, it continued to ferment on the Internet media. Then, with the arrest of President Jiushi Longxin, Jiulong was completely silent for a while.
The curtains were drawn tightly, and the dim living room was completely silent. With a click, the door opened, and the person who came in glanced at the dark room and silently turned on the light.
The warm yellow light dispelled the darkness. Sakurai Nan lay on the sofa and groaned in pain: "It's too bright..."
Jesse sighed and walked to the sofa with the plastic bag. The smell of the food stopped Sakurai Minami from complaining. A hungry stomach is always honest. She sat up with a somersault and waited obediently for the food Jesse would bring back.
"The Ninth Dragon Heart has been released." Jesse said.
Sakurai Minami's chopsticks almost flew out.
"Not guilty? Nothing happened?" she asked incredulously. Jesse nodded.
The USB flash drive incident caused such a big stir... and it actually led to such a result?
It really deserves to be called Kowloon.
"There's one more thing," Jesse said. "Bugle was looking for a traitor inside Kowloon, and we found him. He's the man you mentioned, 'Xixiang.' You might be right."
"Kowloon has completely begun to take action."

The sniper rifle peeked through, and a red dot appeared on Amber's coat. Someone threw him to the ground.
Behind the telescope, Jesse recognized the guy involved, it was Xixiang.
"...Brother Amemiya and the guys from MUGEN ran away...really." The man next to him said dissatisfiedly.
Jesse chuckled, "But luckily, we know who the traitor is."

In the safe house, Saigo's wound was simply treated, and the Amamiya brothers, Amber and Kyuju beside him all looked confused.
The sudden assassination, Saigo's arrival and the change in attitude, everything was so strange.
Was he a friend or foe? They had always thought Saigo had accepted Kowloon's bribes and become Kowloon's dog, but unexpectedly, this guy seemed to have saved their lives? After all, the gun was actually fired, so it couldn't be said that Saigo risked his life for a show.
"I'll tell you everything I know," Saigo said, pointing his finger at the center of the map on the table: "There used to be a pharmaceutical factory here—"
He spoke very seriously and the people present listened very attentively, but his voice was suddenly interrupted by the ringing of the phone. An unfamiliar number appeared on the phone screen, and this discovery made everyone present nervous.
At this point in time, the stranger didn't seem to be coming with good intentions.
Saigo chose to answer the call and put it on speakerphone. Before Saigo could speak, a voice familiar to most people present came over the line: "Hello...? Hello, this is Sakurai Minami."
Sakurai... is a very old surname for Saigo.

This temporary team had to join a new member.
Sakurai Minami hurried over, only to find that there were quite a few familiar faces in this place, the Amamiya brothers, Kohaku, and Ninety-nine. How should I put it, they were all the bastards that the Kowloon Group hated the most.
"Enough of the small talk. I need to get this straight with you," Saigo said, eagerly. They were running out of time. "There's a new drug that's incredibly effective against a certain virus, and the country has invested heavily in it. But only later did they discover that, while effective, it has extreme side effects. Users typically die within six months to a year, and the pharmaceutical company eventually declared bankruptcy. And the worst was just beginning. Hazardous substances from production contaminated the factory and flowed into the nearest river. Eventually, the government realized the problem, implicated the police, and even the Kowloon Group, and kept everything under wraps."
"Teacher," Masaki said anxiously. Sakurai Minami thought he was expressing his dissatisfaction with the government and others who had done this, but in fact, Masaki was expressing his dissatisfaction with Saigo: "I'm not here for social studies."
"Well," Ninety-Nine started to light a cigarette, "I haven't listened since they mentioned 'virus'."
These two were confirmed academic failures, and they hated studying, their brains subconsciously resisting any intrusion of knowledge. In stark contrast to them were Guangdou and Kohaku, who were still listening, waiting for Saigo to continue.
Saigo shook his head: "But this is what happened in the sword area."
Amber was stunned: "What on earth is going on?"
"And you, Sakurai," Saigo ignored Amber and emphasized to Sakurai Minami, "Back then, your parents advocated for public disclosure of this matter and the immediate evacuation of residents affected by the hazardous materials. However, the cost of achieving this was too high... Rather than solving the problem, it's better to solve the person who raised the problem... Your parents died because of this."
"I know." Sakurai Minami said softly.
This area… Xixiang… the pharmaceutical factory, and the Kowloon Group. She had remembered it the moment Xixiang mentioned the pharmaceutical factory. The puzzle pieces pieced together the general truth of the matter… so ridiculous.
Xi Xiang took out a glass bottle and said, "The ore mined for livelihood in Wuming Street was also dug out with this thing—crystallization formed by the precipitation of harmful substances. That's why Jiulong wanted to blow Wuming Street up to the sky to completely eliminate the evidence."
"What do you need us to do?" asked Hiroto Amamiya.
"Find him, Baba Moto," Saigo tossed out a document with the ID of a man named Baba Moto. "He's the head of the pharmaceutical factory, so he should know where the evidence is. If we want to file a case, we need the factory head, the victim, and the evidence. None of these are missing."
"Aren't you a policeman?" asked Hiroto Amamiya. The police were pushing the responsibility onto these "thugs."
"Ma Changyuan is in Little Asia, so it's hard for me to track him down. If I mobilize everything to do this, then Kowloon will be right on my tail. But the casino plan is almost over, and before the evidence disappears... I have no choice but to take the risk."
"I need to get one thing straight." Sakurai Minami's mind had never been clearer. She realized that the button that determined Jiulong's life or death might be right before her eyes. "That USB drive contained such incriminating evidence against Jiulong, and yet Jiulong still survived. If we accomplish this—can Jiulong be destroyed?"
"There's no way Jiulong can withstand another blow like this. This time... they'll be completely destroyed."
"People from Kowloon are coming--" the sentry at the door came in to warn.
"Go out the back door," Saigo lit a cigarette. "Remember, many lives depend on you."
They hurried out the back door. Sakurai Minami folded the paper with the man's photo and put it in her pocket. As they passed by, Sakurai Minami turned around and glanced at him: "You should smoke less if you're injured... Your life is precious."
Xixiang laughed dumbly: "You and your parents... really look alike."
Sakurai Minami declined to comment.
The back door was already blocked by quite a few people. Yagui sighed, "They look quite strong..."
Sakurai Minami rubbed her hands. She had been lying at home these days, doing nothing but eating, drinking, defecating, urinating and sleeping, so her hands had become quite sore.
There is still a big battle to be fought next... She slowly exhaled a long breath, which was icy cold in winter, and the white air she exhaled drifted away.
"Let's warm up," she said.
Until Genji rushed into the battlefield with a knife.
...No, isn't it——!
