Extra 4
The four of them finally met in front of the goldfish stall. Kurosaki Hana was holding a marshmallow in her left hand and a paper net in her right hand. There was a pile of 100-yen coins on the small table.
Liu Longren stood by and directed Xiaohua: "You should use both hands. Your wrist strength is too weak."
"But brother has no hands anymore," said Xiaohua.
Genji looked at Noble. The little monster was clutching takoyaki and taiyaki in his left hand, and the giant toy Liu had just picked up from the bidding booth in his right. He'd clearly noticed Genji's gaze and glanced at him with resigned relief. The fireworks display was full of excitement. The little girl was in high spirits, and the young master's interest was also piqued. Genji thought, "What else can I do?" This young man, known for being rather cold among the Liu Long members, could only take the cotton candy from Xiaohua.
"Fast!" Liu said.
The paper net swung in a beautiful arc, and the goldfish flew out of the tank amid the exclamations of the onlookers.
"My goldfish!" Xiaohua shouted. She used too much strength and the goldfish came up, but it went too high.
Liu Longren was quick to grab the ground. The ground was not clean, just ordinary muddy ground in the countryside. He caught the fish with mud and dirt. The stall owner hurriedly spread out the plastic bag and filled it with water. The fish, which had experienced a life-and-death situation in an instant, quickly washed itself clean and started swimming in the transparent bag.
"My little fish!" Xiaohua held up the bag happily. Noble looked at her smiling face and thought: How long has it been since Xiaohua smiled like this?
Liu looked at his dirty hands, then at the fish tank, and thought: Can I wash my hands in this? No, this water is also dirty.
The stall owner watched the young woman, who had lost 30 times in a row, succeed and thought: She can finally walk! Finally, I can make room for other customers! Otherwise, if she just played alone while everyone else gathered around and watched, how could I make any money?
Genji was thinking: When will today end?
The killer, who is in his early twenties, experienced today the difficulties of raising a child.
/
What? That guy called "Liu" pretended to be so mature at first, but it turns out he's just a kid.
He and Xiaohua were in the front and they had similar aspirations. They would go and take a look at every stall they passed by. Genji and Noble followed behind with things in their hands.
Genji had already taken the giant doll. Noble was short, and when he held it, it was almost bigger than his eyes. Noble walked with visibly cautious steps. Genji thought that if Noble accidentally fell (which was very likely), not only would the doll get dirty, but the food would also be ruined. Would Kurosaki Hana cry if that happened?
Noble had no idea what terrifying thoughts were going through Genji's mind, but in reality, he did benefit. He finally had his hands free to eat the marshmallow. The marshmallow vendor was very honest, and the final product was bigger than Xiaohua's head. Xiaohua took two bites and refused to continue. Liu Longren grabbed a small piece, tasted the sweetness, and considered it his. There was so much left. Genji took a look, but he didn't intend to help Noble. He simply warned: "Be careful of cavities."
Noble's eyebrows twitched. He hadn't thought this guy had such a considerate side. He said politely, "Thank you."
Genji suddenly frowned.
The boring conversation came to an abrupt end as they watched a man squeeze past Liu Longren.
"Follow me!" Genji said. His tone was urgent, but his actions remained methodical. It was hard to imagine Genji panicking; he always looked so calm and composed, as if everything was under control.
The silencer drowned out the noise. Liu Longren turned sideways, and Noble and Genji held the man on the left and right. The crowd was so crowded that no one noticed that the man had lost consciousness.
Liu Longren glanced at Noble. The young dragon's eyes were filled with indifference, as if they had just passed by each other in a normal way. Only the barrel of the gun in his pocket was still burning hot. Xiaohua was in front, waving at them to follow, so Liu left the man alone. Noble and Genji exchanged a glance, and Genji asked, "Do you want to continue?"
If the man had been allowed to collapse to the ground, those nearby would have quickly realized that someone had fainted, and if someone approached to investigate, they would have discovered the gunshot wound and realized that he had stopped breathing.
"Let's go," Noble said.
Genji then covered the man's wound, and a small amount of blood flowed down his trouser leg to the ground, and was quickly absorbed by the soil. The crowd was so dense, and the two of them were just one in a few thousand tourists, very ordinary.
The body was hidden in the bushes behind a tree. Noble said, "I thought you'd taken care of them all when you were there."
Surprise flashed across his eyes, and Genji asked, "How did you know?"
"You're not bringing your men with you just to lure them out."
The young leader of the Kurosaki Clan, the leader's newly adopted son and daughter, and the crown prince of the Nineth Generation Group, all gathered in one car, with no protection at all. Didn't Kurosaki Junlong always have several cars accompanying him whenever he went out? And considering his disappearance at the beginning, Noble wasn't a complete idiot.
Genji was silent for a moment, then said, "There are two groups. Let's go first."
Noble sincerely hoped that this fireworks display could end successfully. However, having to leave due to something in the middle of the display was obviously more comfortable than having the fireworks display be stopped because of a death. He nodded.

"We should finish watching the fireworks." Liu Longren emphasized that he rejected Yuanzhi's proposal.
Xiaohua didn't say anything, but her eyes clearly meant the same thing.
"We can go to the mountain to see." Genji came up with the best of both worlds. The mountain is open and the view is high up, which is safer than a crowded place.
Noble could not deny it and turned and walked away.
"Where are you going?" Xiaohua asked.
"Car? Shouldn't we drive up?" Noble asked, bewildered. The mountain wasn't completely undeveloped; he'd seen tire tracks pointing upwards on the way here. Since the fireworks were almost ready, driving would definitely be more convenient.
In contrast, Xiaohua's sudden realization and Genji's momentary embarrassment.
"Uh...on the mountain..." Genji hesitated, but it was obvious that he was trying to refuse politely.
Liu Longren glanced at Xiaohua, then hesitantly looked at Genji. Noble realized something was wrong and had to go back on his words. He hesitated and said, "The mountain... the mountain road is not easy to drive on, and accidents are likely to happen at night. Let's just walk up."
Genji nodded heavily, and Xiaohua had no objection. The hill was more like a mound than a mountain, and it was not very high. So she pulled Noble forward because she realized that she had just ignored her brother for a long time.
This was something Liu Longren was happy to see. He took a step behind and walked side by side with Genji. Liu Longren asked, "What happened to the car?"
"...It was burned by those guys. I've already contacted the Kurosaki Association and asked them to send a new car."
"And where are my books?"
Genji: "..."
Liu Longren: “…”
