Extra 6
"Ah, finally back to Japan!" said Bernie.
This baby-faced young man had been away from his hometown for several years. Today was a good day in Japan, with clear skies and bright sunshine. He had just slept for a whole night on the plane, so he stretched out his body and felt completely refreshed.
Pearl squinted in the sunlight, pulled sunglasses from his pocket and put them on his face. He asked, "Did your bones just make a cracking sound?"
"I heard that too," Ice said. "You've been slacking off too much, Bernie."
Sarah didn't want to pay attention to the bored men's jokes. It was her first time stepping into Japanese territory, and everything seemed quite new and novel, the people and the scenery. That was until she caught sight of someone holding up a large sign in the distance. She read the cursive words printed on it: "Welcome... the Liulong people back home?"
"Eh?" The joke on Bernie came to a halt. Pearl looked at the sign. There was even a small Q-version figure drawn on the corner of the pick-up sign, but it didn't look much like the "Liu Longren" on their side. He looked back and saw Liu, who was always a little unsociable, walking at the back as expected: "Hey, are they picking you up? Liu." After all, it should be difficult for someone with the same name as Liu Longren to appear here.
The person holding the boarding pass was short, the oversized sign obscuring their upper body. Judging from their figure, they were probably a girl. Next to the girl stood a man wearing sunglasses. The distance between them was neither too far nor too close, so it was unclear if they were a group.
"That should be it," Liu said, "Then I'm leaving. See you later."
"See you later, bro." Ice said.
Liu then left without looking back. Bernie asked in confusion, "Huh? Liu isn't coming with us? What is he going to do?"

"Say, do we really have to hold this sign up all the time?" Noble asked quietly.
The sign was so conspicuous that practically everyone passing by glanced up, and whenever someone glanced at them, Noble would simply move aside, feigning ignorance. For the past few years, Noble had been unwilling to venture out of the Kurosaki Clan unless requested by Kurosaki Kunryƫ or Genji. He spent his days confined to his house, either teaching juniors at the dojo or basking in the sun in the courtyard, occasionally watching TV, reading comics, or sharing novel reviews with a distant young master. Even when he did leave the house to complete missions, he accomplished them quickly and efficiently, ultimately developing a reputation for being a socially anxious person. The few times he ventured out, he hid behind his sister, a typical Heisei loser.
Behind the pick-up sign, Kurosaki Hana squinted at him and said, "What else? If we don't hold up this sign and still haven't received Brother Liu's call, we can just go back and wait for death. If we hold up this sign and unfortunately don't receive it, we'll have an excuse to go back."
"...Alas, we got away with that Genji guy, so why do we have to come out now... Ah, Liu hasn't been gone for many years, can't we recognize him? Liu might recognize us too. Oh, the sun is too strong today... Do we have to take a flight in broad daylight..."
Noble kept complaining, but he shut up with a slight glance before Kurosaki Hana got completely angry. He noticed a guy in black who was obviously walking towards him. Noble raised his eyebrows and identified him carefully, then greeted, "Oh, Liu?" In fact, he didn't recognize Liu at all, but it was not right that anyone else should come to him at this moment.
Liu nodded slightly to him. Kurosaki Hana poked her head out from the side of the sign and greeted, "Brother Liu? Welcome back."
The embarrassing moment was about to end. Noble was finally willing to take the sign from Xiaohua. He eagerly interrupted the two people's long-awaited greetings and used his free left hand to push Liu out. "Let's go, let's go, Mr. Jiushi is waiting for you!"
Xiaohua rolled her eyes in an undignified manner.

"You've really changed a lot." Liu said sincerely.
The member of the Kurosaki Society was driving the car, and Xiaohua in the passenger seat nodded seriously in agreement.
Noble had an awkward smile on his face and agreed, "You too, you too."
Being online isn't an identity; it's a feeling. Normally, we can maintain some respect across the screen, but being in real life is like catching a rat from a sewer and drying it on the ground.
"Where's Genji? I thought he would come too." After all, the four of them had played together for a while since the fireworks display and before he left Japan. Among the younger generation in Kowloon, Liu was only familiar with these few.
"Oh, him. He's busy with other things now and can't get away for the time being." Noble envied Genji. He was doing some troublesome little things. The procedures were a bit complicated, but it was much easier than what they were going to do next.
"Do you know anything about what we're going to talk about tonight?"
This was the highlight of the night. Noble shrugged. "Sword. Someone is going to make a deal with the Iemura Association. Iemura Ryumi vowed that this time they'll definitely take down Sword. This time, Mr. Jiushi should want the three of us."
"Oh right." Xiaohua asked as if she had just remembered something, "Are you going to stay with us from now on?"
"No. I'll probably decide based on the situation. After all... the two sides' actions will basically overlap for a while." Liu laughed briefly. "By the way, do you want to come to Funk Jungle and have some fun?"
