Chapter 154: Giant Soul-Devouring Beast (2/2)

The surrounding ruins instantly became riddled with holes.

Countless pebbles and dust rose into the air and flew everywhere.

Homan, piloting a gravity-body armor, wielded a two-meter-long giant sword and moved nimbly across the ground.

His movements were swift and precise.

Each swing of the greatsword accurately struck a Soul-Devouring Beast.

It was forcibly cut in half.

Under the cover of these four powerful gravity-body mechs, the other hunters took the opportunity to escape back into the vehicle.

I started the engine and drove off at high speed toward the outside of the ruins.

"Roar~"

Just then, a deafening roar suddenly rang out.

This sound was more ferocious than any of the previous roars, as if it were about to tear the entire world apart.

The surrounding space seemed unable to withstand the violent sonic shock and began to tremble violently, as if it would collapse and shatter at any moment.

What's that noise?

"..."

Homan and the others looked grave.

Even within the protection of the gravity-body mechs, they could still feel that terrifying power.

Under the attack of that sonic wave, they felt their bodies involuntarily freeze for a moment.

It was as if they were tightly bound by an invisible net, unable to move.

"Whoosh~"

"Thump, thump..."

Accompanied by a series of earth-shaking roars.

A giant black shadow, fifteen or sixteen meters long, approached from a distance.

It exuded a suffocating aura, like a demon from hell.

It lunged at the crowd with its claws outstretched.

Boom~

The dark figure fell as if Mount Tai were pressing down on it.

A car that hadn't even started was mercilessly crushed by the monster's enormous body in the blink of an eye.

The people inside didn't even have time to let out a scream before they all went silent.

"Roar~"

The monster landed on the ground and let out another earth-shattering roar at the gravity-body mech piloted by Homan and his three companions.

The power of the sonic attack at such close range was even more astonishing, which stirred the minds of the four people.

A trickle of bright red blood involuntarily seeped from his ear.

My brain was buzzing, and I almost fainted.

brush!

Before the echoes of the roar had faded, the giant soul-devouring beast suddenly launched an attack.

He rushed towards a gravity-based mech with lightning speed.

Its front claws shot out rapidly, leaving the person operating the mech no time to react.

He was then firmly grasped by that ferocious beast.

Snap!

A chilling sound rang out.

The sturdy gravity-based mech was as fragile as a child's toy in the hands of this soul-devouring beast.

It was instantly kneaded until it burst and shattered.

"Donnie!"

Homan, Jon, and another hunter piloting a gravity vehicle witnessed this scene and couldn't help but gasp in surprise.

The monster casually tossed the already ravaged, unrecognizable gravity mech away like trash.

With a dull thud, the shattered gravity-body mech landed in front of a Soul-Devouring Beast.

Upon seeing this, the Soul-Devouring Beast excitedly pounced forward.

It opened its blood-red maw and began to greedily devour the man's life essence.

"What the hell is this monster?"

Someone cried out in alarm.

"Didn't those guys in the communications department swear that there wasn't a horde of Soul-Devouring Beasts in these ruins? So where did this thing come from?"

The hunters were all dumbfounded.

Even Homan and Jon stared in astonishment at the giant soul-devouring beast before them.

They would come down to the ground to collect supplies every one or two months.

I have never encountered such a terrifying soul-devouring beast before.
