The building is filled with all sorts of strange plants that emit a faint blue glow, like natural lamps illuminating the entire structure.
Led by Bai Yuekui, the two quickly arrived at a deep pit.
A giant vine stretched up from the ground, winding and coiling like a giant dragon, exuding a majestic aura.
Ye Li stood at the edge of the pit and looked down a few times; it was also bottomless.
Because it was inside the laboratory, the floor slab below could be seen every few meters.
Some branches also sprouted from the vines, extending into those floors.

Suddenly, a thick, milky-white liquid gushed out, emitting a strong, fishy smell.
With a swift slash of Bai Yuekui's blade, a sharp, cold light flashed, and the fruit was easily sliced open.
The small, not-yet-fully-formed Soul-Eating Beast inside slid out and crashed heavily to the ground.
Its body was soft and fragile. It struggled on the ground for a few moments, making a few weak squeaks, and then quickly fell silent.
"As expected of the main body, it even spawns more Soul-Devouring Beasts than the other Blood Vortex's Earth Vines!"
Ye Li held the Soul-Sucking Blade and poked at the corpse of the little Soul-Devouring Beast, then sighed.
Bai Yuekui acted as if he hadn't heard, offering no response whatsoever.
She had already walked over to the other fruits and dissected all the Soul-Devouring Beasts that had not yet fully formed.
After dealing with the small Soul-Devouring Beasts on this floor, Bai Yuekui lightly jumped down to the next floor.
The structure of the vines inside is almost exactly the same as upstairs, and there are also several fruits that are nurturing small soul-devouring beasts.
Bai Yuekui swiftly and mercilessly cut them all off.
Soon, the two arrived at the 17th basement level.

As they ventured deeper, the fog below thickened, and now they could only see the view of the layer below.
After dealing with the Soul-Devouring Beast cubs on the -17th floor, Bai Yuekui walked to Ye Li's side and said softly, "There are 33 floors in total!"
"It's already more than halfway done."
Ye Li murmured.
"Okay!" Bai Yuekui nodded, while reminding him, "Be careful!"
"I know!"
Ye Li responded.
After saying that, Bai Yuekui continued to jump down to the -18th floor.
Just as Ye Li was about to jump down, a low growl suddenly came from the -18th floor.
