Ye Li turned to look at Xiao Ai sitting on his shoulders and asked, "Xiao Ai, can you control the drone to take off?"
Xiao Ai smiled and nodded, replying, "Of course!"
"Let it fly out and take a look," Ye Li said.
"Are you sure you want to take off now?" Xiao Ai asked.
“Confirmed!” Ye Li said.
"Please confirm the flight direction," Xiao Ai said again.
“Fly forward along the highway,” Ye Li said.
"Okay!" Xiao Ai made an OK sign.
'Boom!'
As Xiao Ai finished speaking, the top floor of the car slowly opened from the middle.
The base beneath the drone slowly rises, all the way up to the roof of the vehicle.
As a series of deep rumbling sounds rang out, it was as if a sleeping giant beast was being awakened.
Three jets of flame shot from the bottom of the drone, propelling it slowly into the air.
Immediately afterwards, another heavy roar sounded, and the thrusters at the back of the drone began to emit blue flames.
"Bang!"
With a loud bang, the drone, trailing a long fiery tail, flew off toward the road ahead, like a blue lightning bolt slicing through the sky, disappearing in an instant.
Ye Li stared intently at the direction the drone had gone and asked, "What's the highest speed it can reach now?"
"Top speed 5000 km/h, maximum range 5000 km/h," Xiao Ai replied.
Ye Li continued, "Can you show me the drone's live feed?"
"Sure!"
Xiao Ai nodded, and with a wave of her small hand, as if casting a spell, the light screen reappeared in front of Ye Li.
The image on the screen gradually focused, just like a photographer adjusting the focus.
Finally, the image clearly shows a vast expanse of reddish-brown land, barren and devoid of any buildings or traces of human habitation.
In the center of the land, a long highway stretches out like a giant python, dividing this seemingly forgotten land in two.
The image on the screen was very stable and clear. Before long, Ye Li noticed a small black dot slowly moving on the road in the middle.
It looks like an ant, insignificant in the vast wasteland.
"Can it be enlarged?" Ye Li asked.
"Can!"
As Xiao Ai spoke, the images on the screen began to zoom in continuously.
Soon, the full picture of the small black dot came into view: it was an off-road vehicle speeding by.
The footage adjusts constantly as the off-road vehicle moves quickly, as if someone is standing on the roof of the vehicle closely following and filming it.
"Warning, warning..." Suddenly, Xiao Ai's expression turned tense: "An unidentified flying object has locked onto our drone and is attempting to attack it..."
As soon as he finished speaking, the image on the screen changed again.
This demonstration shows the direction in which drones are moving.
High in the sky, a reddish-brown hue also permeated the air, making the entire sky appear as if it were being roasted by fire.
Facing the blazing sun and the steel, several small black dots could be faintly seen flying towards the drone against the light.
Their shapes are indistinct, but they are clearly not ordinary birds or other natural objects.
"What is that?" Ye Li asked, frowning.
"Missiles!" Xiao Ai replied seriously, "Should we retaliate?"
"Missile? Where did the missile come from?" Ye Li asked in confusion.
"Undetectable," Xiao Ai said, shaking her head.
"Can we get rid of it?" Ye Li asked.
"Sure!" Xiao Ai nodded.
“Then come back!” Ye Li said.
