In the evening, we returned to the Xu family villa.
As soon as she entered, she saw several pairs of shoes in the entryway. One pair of men's leather shoes looked quite familiar, and Xu Jingyan knew at a glance that Lu Haifeng had come today. Feeling a little guilty, she changed her shoes and went inside.
"Jingyan is back?" As soon as Xu's mother saw her daughter, she immediately stood up and invited her to sit down.

Xu Jingyan followed him out, "Lu Haifeng!"
Lu Haifeng was about to open the car door when he heard the woman's voice behind him, and his hand paused.
Xu Jingyan walked over. "Let's talk!"
Lu Haifeng raised an eyebrow, "Okay!"
After having his driver take Lu Shanhe and his wife home, he drove Xu Jingyan to the lakeside for a drive.
As night falls, the streetlights are reflected on the lake, shimmering like stars scattered from the sky. A cool evening breeze blows, and the reeds in the distance sway gently, making a rustling sound.
Once again by this lake, Xu Jingyan looked at the reeds not far away and felt inexplicably guilty.
Xu Jingyan took a deep breath. "Haifeng, I know what happened last time made you very unhappy, but you really misunderstood me back then. It's not that I still have feelings for someone else; I just wasn't ready yet... Believe me, now that we're married, I definitely want to be with you!"
Lu Haifeng didn't say anything, but just strolled leisurely along the lake.

Lu Haifeng suddenly turned around, looked down at her, and sneered disdainfully, "Fine, I'll see just how precious you are! You insist on waiting until we get the marriage certificate before you're willing to marry."
The two got into the car and drove towards Lu Haifeng's residence.
As soon as she entered the room, before the lights were even turned on, Xu Jingyan pressed herself against Lu Haifeng. While kissing him, she unbuckled his belt.
Her thinking was simple: she was pregnant with Qiu Hongwei's child, and if she didn't want things to be exposed, she had to have sex with Lu Haifeng as soon as possible.
Lu Haifeng smirked, "You acted all high and mighty before, but I never expected you to be so flirtatious!"
Half an hour later, both of them lay exhausted on the bed.
Lu Haifeng's phone suddenly rang. He took out his phone and saw that it was Qiu Hui.
"Brother Feng, I'm downstairs at your place, is it convenient for me to come up?" Qiu Hui's voice came from the phone.
Lu Haifeng stood up, grabbed a coat and draped it over himself. "Don't come up here, I'm going downstairs to find you now!"
After hanging up the phone, Xu Jingyan looked over and asked, "Are you going out? Are you coming back tonight?"
As Lu Haifeng buttoned his shirt, he said, "I don't know, but if you don't have anything else to do, you can stay here tonight!"
Xu Jingyan is four weeks pregnant. Lu Haifeng wasn't gentle with her when they had sex, and she was worried about the baby. So she shook her head and said, "No, I want to go home!"
The man was already dressed and had walked to the door. "Suit yourself! Just remember to close the door properly when you leave!"
After the man left, he pressed the button for the elevator going down, and it took quite a while for the elevator to arrive.
He went inside and was about to close the door when a fair hand blocked the elevator, and Xu Jingyan walked in.
The two went downstairs together. When they got downstairs, Qiu Hui happened to walk over. When he saw Xu Jingyan, he was not surprised, but rather looked as if he had expected it.
"Let's talk over there!" Lu Haifeng pointed with his chin toward a pavilion, and Qiu Hui followed Lu Haifeng over there.
In the pavilion, Qiu Hui lit a cigarette. "Brother Feng, my dad called."
"Uncle Kun? Is something wrong with him?" Lu Haifeng asked, frowning.
“My dad said he was worried about us, so he wanted to come and see us. He’s already on the plane and should arrive in about two hours.”
Lu Haifeng nodded. “Okay! Then we’ll go pick him up together later. It’s good that he’s back. He’s getting old and there’s no one to take care of him abroad. It’s perfect. Once I take over the Lu Group, he can retire in Guangcheng in peace.”
“Brother Feng…” Qiu Hui looked in Xu Jingyan’s direction and then spoke somewhat awkwardly.
