"Sit down!" Dr. Tao casually wiped the corner of his eye, his voice still a little hoarse.
Qiu Mang's eyes flickered slightly, and she gave Sun Qiang a look. Sun Qiang understood and turned to the two behind him, saying in a deep voice, "Dr. Tao doesn't like to be disturbed during her consultations, so let's wait outside."
The door opened and closed again, leaving only Qiu Mang and Dr. Tao in the office.
Qiu Mang handed two tissues to Dr. Tao, saying, "Don't force yourself."
Dr. Tao was taken aback, her pupils contracted sharply, and a guarded glint appeared in her eyes. "Don't think that just because you know my secret, you can control me!"
Qiu Mang shoved the tissue into her hand. "You've misunderstood. I don't want to manipulate you. Everyone has their struggles. You may look glamorous, but in the end, you're just a prettier doll in a shop window. Just like us, you have no freedom!"
Dr. Tao looked up at her. She had been here for several months and had seen a lot of people's schemes and plots. She didn't believe that Qiu Mang would let go of such an easy opportunity to manipulate her.
Qiu Mang smiled and said, "This secret of yours is nothing to you. Even if I tell you, it won't cause you any harm."
At most, people will say, "Dr. Tao, you're just favored by that crazy devil. They'll either fawn over you and treat you better, or they'll keep their distance from you. That's not necessarily a bad thing."
On the contrary, I have to constantly worry that Dr. Tao might try to silence me!
Dr. Tao stared at her, as if trying to tear away the disguise with his gaze.
After an unknown amount of time, her tense shoulder line finally relaxed. Dr. Tao put on latex gloves, picked up a medical flashlight, and said, "Open your mouth."
Qiu Mang obediently did as instructed.
The moment the tongue depressor pressed against the base of his tongue, Qiu Mang forced himself to endure the discomfort.
Dr. Tao swept the beam of his flashlight across her mouth. A few seconds later, Dr. Tao put down his instruments, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"I can't believe you can get your hands on this kind of medicine? It's colorless and odorless, and it doesn't do any harm to the body. It just causes red spots on the skin, which ordinary doctors can't detect at all."
Dr. Tao leaned closer to her, her eyes flashing with danger. She lowered her voice, "But I've seen this kind of drug in D country. Tell me, how did you get your hands on it?"
Qiu Mang turned her face away, her nails almost digging into her palms. She absolutely could not talk about Sun Qiang's matter.
Dr. Tao chuckled, "It's okay if you don't want to talk about it. Your symptoms will only last for three days. After three days, even if I do nothing, the red spots on your face will gradually disappear."
As she spoke, she typed a few words on the computer and continued, "I'll prescribe some medicine for you; take it home and take it first!"
Qiu Mang was taken aback, then looked at her with pleading eyes, "Well... Dr. Tao, since it will dissipate on its own in three days, why don't we just let it dissipate on its own and not waste this medicine!"
Looking at the girl's cute and obedient appearance, Dr. Tao was both amused and exasperated. "Weren't you just lecturing me with such high-sounding principles a moment ago? And now you're getting scared?"
Qiu Mang pursed her lips. "One thing at a time. I do feel sorry for you, Dr. Tao, just like us, but I really don't want to serve men, so I'll just drag it out as long as I can."
Dr. Tao sighed, "Alright, the prescription is ready. Go to the pharmacy next door to get your medicine!"
Qiu Mang reluctantly pulled the thin blanket around herself, stood up, and pleaded one last time, "Dr. Tao..."
Outside, she rarely asked for help, but in this cannibalistic hell, she had no choice but to lower her head.
Dr. Tao chuckled lightly, "If you dared to do that, I'd think you were incredibly bold! Go ahead! After taking my medicine, your symptoms will last for another week!"
A glint of light instantly shone in Qiu Mang's eyes, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously turned up. "Dr. Tao, thank you!"
When Qiu Mang came out of the doctor's office, two bodyguards immediately came up to her, while Sun Qiang strode in to inquire about the situation.
Dr. Tao didn't mention Qiu Mang taking the medicine at all, only saying that she had internal heat and fever, which caused her eczema all over her body. Upon hearing this, Sun Qiang secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
The three continued to escort Qiu Mang back to the basement level. When they reached a blind spot in the surveillance footage, Sun Qiang suddenly stopped.
He turned to look at Dazhu behind him and handed him the medicine prescribed by Dr. Tao. "Go ask Dr. Tao how many times a day to take this medicine and how many pills to take at a time. I forgot to ask earlier!"
Dazhu took the medicine bottle and replied, "Okay!"
Da Zhu had only taken two steps when Sun Qiang said to another bodyguard, "You go too!"
The bodyguard was puzzled. "Brother Qiang, Dazhu can handle this by himself, right?"
Sun Qiang sighed, "I'll feel more at ease if you come along. Look at his brain, is it even capable?"
The bodyguard nodded upon hearing this. "Okay, we'll be right back!"
Watching the two walk away, Sun Qiang finally breathed a sigh of relief.
He took a piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to Qiu Mang. "This is a map of the entire basement level. Take it back and look at it when you're out of the way of the surveillance cameras! If I get the chance, I'll get you out of here!"
Qiu Mang looked at Sun Qiang gratefully, "Brother-in-law, thank you!"
She suddenly remembered the heat source she had felt in Room B last time and asked, "Is the Lü family's steel mill above Room B?"
Sun Qiang nodded. "That's right. Above us, it's basically Zhao Lei's entire pharmaceutical factory and his breeding farm. Only that one area is Lu's territory."
Qiu Mang's eyes suddenly lit up. "You can go out, right? If so, could you contact Lü Chen of the Lü family?"
Sun Qiang's eyes widened. "You're not planning to blow up the B room area so you can escape from there?"
Qiu Mang nodded, "I have that idea, but I need Lü Chen's help!"
"But Young Master Lü is always elusive..."
"Do you have a pen?" Qiu Mang asked.
Sun Qiang immediately took out a pen from his pocket and handed it to her. Qiu Mang wrote down a phone number in Sun Qiang's palm.
“Make this call, tell him my situation, and tell him that as long as we blow a small hole in the Lü’s Steel Plant, we can rescue everyone here.”
Sun Qiang was somewhat troubled, "But our cell phones have been completely tapped, making it impossible for us to send any messages to the outside world."
Qiu Mang sighed, "What should we do?"
At this moment, two bodyguards ran over, and Qiu Mang quickly hid the map. Then, the group went upstairs.
Not long after returning to the basement, Sister Lian led a few people into the room.
"Mermaid, I heard you're feeling a bit feverish? Looks like our food is too good. From now on, you should eat more vegetables! That'll help you maintain your figure, and men will like you even more that way."
After she finished speaking, she gave a look to the bodyguards behind her, and several men quickly carried in a television.
Qiu Mang asked, somewhat puzzled, "What are you doing?"
