Chapter 134 Three Things

“You saved my life before, and I promised that I would try my best to satisfy whatever you wanted. I didn’t just say that. So, I have always been very tolerant of you.”

Whether it's those expensive clothes, bags, or jewelry you fancy, if your eyes linger on them even for a moment, I'll buy them for you right away;

Your Xu family was on the verge of bankruptcy, and without hesitation, I stepped in to help, pulling it back from the brink of bankruptcy.

You took advantage of the fact that we grew up together and had a good relationship, and you went around telling everyone that we were boyfriend and girlfriend. You took advantage of my relationship and gained a lot of benefits, but I didn't pursue it.

I know you had Cheng Siyan deliberately cause trouble for Qiu Mang, but I let her off the hook for your sake.

And last time you were sick, you deliberately took a very misleading photo and sent it to her to sow discord; you even tried to use my mother and my sister to gang up on Qiu Mang..."

Lu Yanting paused, took a deep breath as if suppressing his anger, and continued, "Originally, I intended to let bygones be bygones because you once saved my life. But what about you? You've repeatedly challenged my bottom line. Do you really think I'm a merciless bodhisattva?"

Xu Jingyan was completely stunned. She never expected that he knew everything she had done, but had simply kept quiet about it.

In an instant, a flood of emotions—grievance, regret, and shock—rushed into my heart, and tears welled up in my eyes, overflowing instantly.

"But Yanting, I've done far worse things before, and you could forgive me then. Why do you change your attitude completely when it comes to Qiu Mang? Why do you show me no mercy when it comes to her?"

Lu Yanting rubbed his temples wearily, his voice tinged with helplessness: "Everyone has their own bottom line, and mine is her. In the past, I have tolerated you testing my bottom line repeatedly and jumping back and forth several times. I have been more than polite to you."

Xu Jingyan sniffed softly, her eyes blurry with tears, and slowly raised her head to look directly at the man in front of her. "You like her?"

Lu Yanting pursed his lips and remained silent.

Xu Jingyan paused for a moment, then asked, "You said before that you would give me whatever I wanted. Does that still stand?"

Lu Yanting's expression instantly turned cold. The tenderness he once showed her had vanished without a trace. He said indifferently, "Jingyan, you can't use the life-saving grace to bind me for life, can you? After all these years, I think I should have repaid it more or less."

Xu Jingyan nodded slightly, took a step back unconsciously, and said in a slightly trembling voice, "I understand. Then could you help me with three things? Once these three things are settled, I will never bother you again, and you will have repaid my life-saving grace."

Lu Yanting walked slowly toward her, his expression complex and unreadable. After a long while, he finally nodded slightly.

Xu Jingyan forced a bitter smile that looked more like a grimace, and said softly, "Very well, thank you, Yan Ting. My first request is that you don't withdraw your investment and let the Xu family go."

Lu Yanting was stunned, and the pen he was holding tightly in his hand broke in his subconscious. After a moment, he still nodded with difficulty.

Xu Jingyan can no longer remember how she left the Lu Group.

She walked aimlessly down the street. The sun was warm and pleasant today, but she felt a chill running through her body.

She subconsciously tightened her coat, tears blurring her vision once again. She knew that her years-long relationship with Lu Yanting was probably really coming to an end this time.

She let the tears flow freely from her eyes, and then let the spring breeze dry them. Her heart was filled with depression, which overwhelmed her like a tide. She just wanted to find someone to talk to.

Xu Jingyan took out her phone, searched through her contacts for a long time, and finally dialed Han Feng's number.

"Sister Jingyan, what's wrong? Is there something you need?" Han Feng's voice was gentle and soothing on the other end of the phone. Just by listening to that voice, one could imagine that he must be wearing a warm smile on his face.

Xu Jingyan looked up at the sky, feeling somewhat emotional. They were friends who had grown up together, so why could Han Feng treat her so meticulously, while Lu Yanting couldn't?

She sniffed and said with a thick nasal tone, "It's nothing, I just suddenly wanted to talk to someone. I feel like I have a lot of friends, but it seems like you're the only one I can really chat with."

Han Feng keenly noticed Xu Jingyan's unusual mood and asked anxiously, "Jingyan, what's wrong? You sound like you're crying. Tell me quickly, did someone bully you?"

Xu Jingyan shook her head gently, trying to appear calm: "No, Han Feng, don't make wild guesses. I'm fine, I'm just a little bored being alone."

"Alright, alright, Sister Jingyan, if you don't want to talk about it, I won't force you. If you're feeling down, just cry it out, don't hold it in," Han Feng quickly comforted her.

Hearing the words of comfort, Xu Jingyan could no longer suppress her grief and sat down on a bench by the roadside, bursting into tears.

It took her about ten minutes to calm down.

"Han Feng, thank you. I feel much better now. I'm a little hungry right now, so I'm going home for dinner. That's all for now. I'm hanging up. Thank you for being there for me to vent my emotions."

Han Feng scratched his head shyly and said, "Sister Jingyan, don't be shy. If you're ever unhappy again, just call me anytime. I'll stay with you until you're happy."

"Mmm," Xu Jingyan replied softly.

After hanging up the phone, Han Feng twirled it in his palm a few times, pondered for a moment, and then dialed Mrs. Xu's number. He asked her a few questions indirectly and finally learned the whole story.

Qiu Mang, Qiu Mang, it's Qiu Mang again! How can this woman be so hateful!

Han Feng suddenly stood up. He knew that Qiu Mang worked at Han Bing's shop, and he was immediately furious. He was about to rush over to confront Qiu Mang.

On his way to the store, Han Feng spotted Qiu Mang walking towards him.

Qiu Mang was wearing denim overalls, with a playful yet innocent high ponytail and a backpack. Sunlight shone on her fair and radiant face, giving it a slight blush. At first glance, she looked like a high school student who had just finished school, full of youthful energy.

Han Feng simply couldn't understand how such an innocent-looking girl could be so malicious as to try and steal Jingyan's boyfriend. How could she do such a thing to someone as gentle and kind as Jingyan!

Han Feng narrowed his eyes and stared intently at Qiu Mang. The more he looked at her innocent and pure appearance, the angrier he became. Sister Jingyan was crying so sadly, but she was still pretending to be soft and harmless!
