"You knew everything?" Xu Jingyan was taken aback, a sense of unease rising in her heart.
"Hmm, your subordinate named Tian Jingjing is too spineless; she already confessed to you!" Han Bing said with disdain, her eyes full of mockery.
Xu Jingyan walked over, sat down by the bed, and feigned concern in her eyes. She reached out and picked up the thin blanket on the bed to cover Han Bing with it.
Han Bing flung her hand away in disgust, the thin blanket falling to the ground, and Xu Jingyan's hand was also shoved away forcefully. "Stop pretending!"
Xu Jingyan softened her voice, "Bingbing, I'm sorry, I didn't want this to happen. My original target was only Qiu Mang, but I didn't expect Tian Jingjing to be so bold as to bring you along too..."
Han Bing interrupted her, her tone sharp, "What did Qiu Mang do to you? Are you treating her like this just because of Brother Yanting?"
Whenever Lu Yanting is mentioned, Xu Jingyan recalls the scene at the abandoned factory that day, when Lu Yanting rescued Qiu Mang without hesitation, leaving her behind.
She suddenly lost control of her emotions, her voice rising, "What's wrong with Qiu Mang? How dare you ask? Can't you see? You know perfectly well that Yan Ting likes Qiu Mang, yet you still kept her around. Now Yan Ting only has that woman in his eyes, are you happy now?"
She suddenly sneered twice, her eyes filled with resentment, "Han Bing, you should know that if it weren't for Qiu Mang appearing in this world, Yan Ting's heart would always be with me. Even without romantic feelings, he would always put me first."
"Now, it's all because of that vixen! The moment she appeared, Yan Ting was completely infatuated with her! Do you know how much my heart bleeds every time I see them together? Put yourself in her shoes, if you were me, wouldn't you want to get rid of her?!"
Han Bing looked at her coldly, her eyes full of disappointment. "Sister Jingyan, I've known a saying since I was little: 'A forced relationship is never sweet.' For so many years, Brother Yanting has only ever treated you as a friend. You can feel that yourself. You've been deceiving yourself all along."
It's no exaggeration to say that if it weren't for the fact that you got hurt because of him, and he felt guilty towards you, we would both be equally important to him—just friends who grew up together. Why make it sound like Yan Ting betrayed you and found a mistress?
"Han Bing! Qiu Mang has only been here for a few days, but we've known each other for so many years. Why can't you put yourself in my shoes and consider things from my perspective?" Xu Jingyan said, her face full of resentment.
"That's just my personality. I always side with what's right, not with my own family. When I was little, if someone bullied me, I would stand up for you because I can't stand seeing others bully the weak."
Now, Yan Ting and Qiu Mang are in love, neither of them is married, they haven't cheated on each other, and they haven't hurt anyone else. I really can't find a reason to break them up. It's you who's been causing trouble time and time again.
Han Bing grew angrier as she spoke, suddenly standing up and grabbing Xu Jingyan by the collar, her eyes burning with fury. "I can let go of your petty tricks in the past, but this time, you actually locked her up in this dark and hopeless cage, preparing to torture a woman for the rest of her life in the most humiliating way. With your heart of stone, you are the one I should be dealing with the most!"
Her eyes turned bloodshot, and her grip tightened. "Xu Jingyan, the thing I regret most in my life is knowing you!"
Xu Jingyan sensed the undisguised killing intent in Han Bing's eyes and tried to back away in fear, but Han Bing lifted her up.
"Xu Jingyan, although we grew up together, that meager friendship ended the moment you sent me to this hell on earth!"
After Han Bing finished speaking, she slammed Xu Jingyan to the ground.
Xu Jingyan screamed in pain, but she gritted her teeth, propped herself up, and slowly approached Han Bing, her face returning to its gentle expression.
"Han Bing, I was too impulsive just now. Believe it or not, even though you hate me, I still came to see you because I've always considered you like a younger sister..."
Han Bing turned her face away in disgust, not wanting to listen to her hypocritical words at all.
Seeing that Han Bing wasn't looking at her, a cold glint flashed in Xu Jingyan's eyes. Suddenly, she pulled out a dagger from her sleeve and stabbed it fiercely at Han Bing.
Han Bing caught a glimpse of the cold light in the mirror opposite her, and quickly shifted her body to the side. Xu Jingyan missed her target and fell heavily against the wall, the sharp dagger cutting a deep gash in the wall.
"Miss, is there something wrong inside? Do you need any help?"
Sun Qiang had been standing guard outside the door. Upon hearing the sounds of fighting inside, he immediately asked what was going on.
Xu Jingyan's lips curled into a sinister smile. "Han Bing, you're dead today. Let me tell you, I came here today specifically to take your life!"
"Because you are Han Bing, I came to see you one last time out of old friendship. But also because you are the eldest daughter of the Han family, I absolutely cannot let you leave here alive. However, to prevent Old Master Han from obtaining evidence, we will not leave your remains. After I chop you up piece by piece, I will throw you into the backyard to feed the dogs!"
Han Bing clenched her fists, picked up a stool from the ground, and smashed it at Xu Jingyan.
Xu Jingyan screamed in terror, "Help! Help! Miss Cat is trying to assassinate me!"
"Clang!"
Sun Qiang kicked the door open and rushed in.
Seeing this, Xu Jingyan quickly hid behind Sun Qiang and said triumphantly, "This woman is crazy. No matter how beautiful she is, we can't let her live. Take her life directly. I'll go and explain to Zhao Lei!"
Sun Qiang glanced at Han Bing, then slowly closed the door.
Xu Jingyan asked, puzzled, "What's going on? Why are you closing the door?"
Sun Qiang remained expressionless and coldly uttered a few words, "Close the door and beat the dog!"
Xu Jingyan was taken aback at first, then laughed, "Well done! Very thoughtful! Han Bing, did you hear that? You've closed the door to beat the dog; let's see how you escape now?"
Han Bing sneered, "Xu Jingyan, you probably haven't figured it out. The dog that was locked up and beaten was you, the mad dog!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Sun Qiang turned around abruptly, a murderous glint in his eyes.
Xu Jingyan stared wide-eyed in terror, wanting to scream, but no sound came out.
Just when she thought she was going to die, Sun Qiang simply raised his hand and forcefully chopped down on the back of her neck.
Seeing Xu Jingyan slowly collapse to the ground, Sun Qiang asked, "Miss Han, you've been frightened! What should we do with this woman? Should I..."
He made a throat-slitting gesture.
Han Bing shook her head. "Not for now."
She glanced at the mask lying on the ground, then at the unconscious Xu Jingyan, and a glint of light suddenly flashed in her eyes.
"She's just in time. Sun Qiang, all you have to do today is help Qiu Mang and Dr. Tao get out of here. I've already figured out a way to get out myself!"
