Chapter 105: Kindness and Strategy

Chapter 105: Kindness and Strategy

Bangkok's rainy season had finally ended, and the sun pierced through the clouds, bathing the entire estate in a shimmering golden glow. Ruan Xingchen, supporting her increasingly heavy belly, strolled through the flower paths, morning dew swirling across the petals, as if the blood and darkness were temporarily buried beneath this tranquility.

Inside the manor training grounds, Savika had already removed the last of the bandages. The hideous scars on his back had faded to a pale pink, with only a faint red tinge where new flesh had grown. The dharma blade in his hand sliced through the air, emitting a sharp buzzing sound. Each movement was filled with aggressive force, and he had almost returned to peak condition.

Su Lixia stood aside holding a towel, but her eyes kept drifting towards Ruan Xingchen who was taking a walk not far away.

"No matter how you look at it, it's someone else's child." Savika suddenly leaned closer with a wicked smile on her lips. "It seems I have to work harder to make you pregnant with ours."

Su Lixia felt a burning sensation in her ears, but before she could open her mouth, Mo Xiaohan's scrutinizing voice came from the corridor.

"I was 0.3 seconds slow." He leaned against a pillar, smoke rising from the cigar between his fingertips. "News from northern Myanmar: Nagas are providing 'charity medical care' in the Mongla slums, specifically for pregnant women."

Inside the study, a screen played chilling images from northern Myanmar: emaciated pregnant women lined up in long lines, their cloudy eyes filled with a thirst for money. Someone collapsed from a blue injection, convulsed, and quickly dragged away by white-coated naga members as if they were just taking out the trash.

Ruan Xingchen was walking in with milk. The moment he saw the image, his fingertips trembled and the porcelain cup almost slipped from his hands.

"Xiao Han," she subconsciously protected her abdomen, her voice trembling with a rare tremor, "those medicines..."

Mo Xiaohan extinguished his cigar and placed his palm on her bulging belly: "Victor is using a living person for maternal experiments."

Savika swung the knife, unconcerned. "In northern Myanmar, the lives of the poor are worth less than wild dogs. A uterus? It's just a tool for exchanging money..."

"Savika!" Mo Xiaohan interrupted him and glanced at him warningly.

Ruan Xingchen tightly grasped his wrist: "Those pregnant women... do they know how dangerous the potion is?"

"The people there are willing to do anything to survive." Mo Xiaohan felt the fetus moving, but his tone was indifferent to the point of being cruel. "Hunger is more terrifying than death."

"But the children are innocent..." Ruan Xingchen closed her eyes, as if she could feel the painful struggles of the fetuses forced to take the drug. "Our children were born with anticipation... but their children were used as experimental subjects from the moment they were embryos..."

The hormonal fluctuations during pregnancy made her eyes water. "Every time the baby kicks me, I can't help but imagine what it will be like when it's born... This isn't right, Xiaohan... This isn't right..."

The study fell into a brief silence. Outside the window, a bird flew over the rose bush, startling a few petals.

"Then play a charity game with Victor." Mo Xiaohan suddenly spoke, his voice as cold as ice: "If you cause trouble on this land, it will pollute my territory."

He pulled up the strategic map and zoomed in on northern Myanmar. "Two things," he said, his bony fingers tapping the coordinates of the Naga medical station. "First, Savika, take your elite troops and blow up Berg Pharmaceuticals' transportation routes and all of the Naga labs. Use thermobaric bombs, even the foundations."

"But pregnant women will be affected..." Ruan Xingchen said softly.

"So there's a second thing." Mo Xiaohan pulled up the Berg Charity Foundation's financial statements. "Establish a maternal and child health foundation in the Mo family's name to distribute genuine nutritional supplements to pregnant women in the Mengla slums. At the same time, open a regular medical station. All pregnant women participating in the experiment will be forced to receive treatment, and each will receive resettlement fees. Anyone who dares to stop me will be killed!"

Savika sheathed the Dharmaknife and sneered, "When did Mr. Mo become merciful?"

"It's not about being merciful, it's about accumulating some blessings for the little one." He lowered his eyes to look at Ruan Xingchen's pregnant belly, "It's also about telling some people that there are certain limits. If you cross them, you'll die an ugly death."

Ruan Xingchen's eyes were slightly red, but he smiled: "Do you want to erect a plaque for the foundation?"

"Why put up a plaque?" Mo Xiaohan pulled her into his arms, his lips curled slightly, "Just put up a banner saying 'Naga dogs and Victor are not allowed to enter.'"

Three days later, on the manor's helipad, the propellers whipped up a strong wind.

Savika carried Su Lixia to the cabin door and bit her earlobe. "I'll take you back to northern Myanmar to take the most exciting medical practice class. Teaching with living people is guaranteed to be more interesting than the anatomy room at the Chinese Medical College."

Su Lixia grabbed the corner of his clothes, but her eyes were looking at Ruan Xingchen.

"Take care of yourself." Ruan Xingchen approached, supporting herself at her waist, and shoved an emergency communicator into Su Lixia's hand. "Keep in touch." She turned and glared at Savika. "Don't let her get hurt."

Savika grinned, his fangs flashing with roguery: "My woman, I will naturally protect her."

Mo Xiaohan put his arm around Ruan Xingchen's shoulders, his tone light and a hint of amusement: "If you can't bear to let her go, why not keep her here to keep you company?"

Savika instantly went berserk and shoved Su Lixia into the cabin. "Don't even think about it! Why should my wife stay with me during the birthing?!" He protected Lixia behind him like a wolf cub guarding its food. "What's mine is mine!"

Mo Xiaohan raised his eyebrows, his lips slightly curled with a hint of dangerous teasing: "Yours? Don't forget, even you are mine."

The helicopter door slammed shut, and Savika's gnashing voice echoed through the roar of the engine: "When my son is born, I'll be the first one to tear down your study!"

The helicopter took off, cutting through the blue sky of Bangkok.

Ruan Xingchen looked at the plane flying away and gently leaned on Mo Xiaohan's shoulder: "Do you think... Xia Xia can adapt?"

Mo Xiaohan caressed her pregnant belly with his palm, feeling the fetal movement and chuckled: "Whether she adapts or not, she has already chosen her own path." He lowered his head and kissed the corners of her red eyes, "Just like you did back then."
