Chapter 112: The Snake in the Trap

Chapter 112: The Snake in the Trap

News of the Mohist "civil strife" continues to ferment, like a carefully cultivated virus strain, spreading wantonly in the underground world of Southeast Asia.

Soon, another explosive news swept all intelligence networks——

Mo Xiaohan's two most capable and trusted generals, Atai and Savika, turned against each other completely due to the struggle for power. A violent conflict broke out between the two factions at the Bangkok dock, and Mo Xiaohan was unable to control the situation.

A video filmed in a dark location was accidentally leaked and quickly went viral: It showed flashes of gunfire, with Savika and Artest visibly facing off with weapons, their men on both sides drawing their weapons and even employing heavy equipment. The intense exchange of fire alarmed the military, and high-level intervention ultimately brought an end to the horrific conflict.

This video, filled with smoke and betrayal, was immediately presented to Victor by his confidant. He watched it over and over again, and the string of doubt in his heart was plucked again.

Mo Xiaohan's immediate fall, and his left and right arms eagerly engaged in a murderous act? It all seemed too logical. Yet, the bursts of gunfire, the appearance of heavy equipment, the military's involvement... every detail was impeccably realistic.

"Internal strife? That's a pleasant surprise..." A gleam of light flashed in his eyes. "This Burmese wolf cub...is unruly and difficult to tame, but perhaps it can become the sharpest knife in my hand."

Although he vaguely sensed that there might be some deception behind this fight, the opportunity before him was too tempting, and ambition ultimately outweighed caution. Victor took a deep drag on his cigarette, finally crushing his doubts into the ashtray.

"Savika holds the lifeline of the Mohist army throughout Myanmar," he said, his lips curling up slowly with undisguised greed. "That's a piece of fat meat, even more elite than the regular army."

The screen in front of him listed the Myanmar armed forces controlled by Savika: heavy armored vehicles, armed helicopters, and even short-range missiles... and this was just the tip of the iceberg that had been seen by various forces.

Victor seemed to have already seen that force submitting to him, and his tone became more heated. "If it is combined with my 'Nirvana'... it will be enough to sweep across Southeast Asia!" He ordered his confidant, "Send someone to contact Savika! Tell him that I can give him more than Mo Xiaohan."

The Naga's envoy sneaked into Bangkok and found Savika "venting his anger" in the VIP room of an underground casino. At his feet lay two "spies sent by Artest to monitor him" who had been knocked unconscious.

"Mr. Berg admires your ambition." The messenger handed over the encrypted tablet. "Perhaps... we can help you 'remove' some obstacles."

Savika raised an eyebrow, absentmindedly playing with the emerald ring as she listened to the messenger's proposal.

"Then wait until I kill Mo Xiaohan... and then you kill me?" He suddenly sneered, and lifted the other's chin with the tip of the Dharma knife. "Killing someone with a borrowed knife? Do I look like an idiot?"

The messenger suppressed his panic and remained calm: "Lord Savika, Mo Xiaohan is already useless. Why are you guarding the dead tree? Mr. Berg is willing to help you become Myanmar..."

Savika stood up and pinned the messenger to the gambling table, pressing the muzzle of his gun to his temple. "Go back and tell Victor. If you want to cooperate, you have to show me your sincerity first."

Victor was flipping through Su Lixia's file when he received the news that Savica was considering a partnership. The girl in the photo was walking on the campus of Peking University and Tsinghua University, holding medical textbooks, with a bright and clear smile.

"The Mohists are truly... sentimental. They even prefer this kind of clean-cut girl." He looked at the intel about Savika shielding Su Lixia from bullets and rockets, a sneer on his lips. "If that's the case, then let this little kitten become the fulcrum for us to leverage Myanmar."

"Go and bring Su Lixia back." He raised his hand and ordered his confidant, a determined smile on his face: "As long as we hold her, that wolf cub... will obediently walk into my cage."

The Naga soldiers sent to Bangkok infiltrate and conduct surveillance for several days, but due to the strict security of the Mohist sect, they were unable to make any move. After waiting for nearly three weeks, they finally seized the perfect opportunity.

On this day, Ruan Xingchen's pregnancy-maintaining medicine is missing a special ingredient, requiring immediate use from the Royal Hospital's temperature-controlled storage. Meanwhile, the Mohist sect is at the center of controversy, with all trusted guards tied up in internal strife. Only Su Lixia, a medical student, remains unnoticed.

"Be careful and come back immediately after getting the medicine." Ruan Xingchen held her hand worriedly. "The area has been cleared, but you still have to be careful."

Su Lixia nodded and clenched the medicine box in her hand.

The convoy quietly drove out of the manor and merged into the slightly lazy traffic of Bangkok in the afternoon. At first, everything was calm, as if it was just an ordinary trip.

However, just as the convoy reached the old city area along the Chao Phraya River, something unexpected happened: several modified off-road vehicles rushed out from a side road and slammed into the escort vehicle.

Naga warriors rushed out with guns drawn, firing at full force. Su Lixia was protected and took refuge in a streetside cafe. The enemy was outnumbered, and the Mohist guards were gradually suppressed in the fierce exchange of fire. Su Lixia was grazed on the arm by a stray bullet.

"Come with us, Savika's woman." The leader showed the Naga bronze snake badge and put the muzzle of the gun to her temple. "Be good, or you will suffer."

In the midst of severe pain and fear, Su Lixia trembled and reached for her lower back, where she hid the pistol that Savika had stuffed into her. His teachings exploded in her mind.

"Breathe slowly... imagine you're dissecting a frog..."

"Bang!"

The bullet pierced the Naga warrior's eye socket, and warm blood splattered on her pale face. She gripped the smoking pistol and gasped violently, her stomach churning.

Amidst the screams, Savika and his men arrived just in time. The Naga warriors tried to resist, but were quickly overwhelmed and wiped out by Savika.

The Dharma Knife slit the throat of the last Naga warrior. Savika's emerald ring was stained with blood, and his eyes were terrifying: "You dare to touch my people?!" He hugged her in his arms, and his voice was filled with lingering violence. "Stupid cat! Can't you hide and wait for me?"

Su Lixia trembled in his arms: "I... I killed someone..."

"You're saving people." He kissed the blood off her eyelashes. "You saved yourself, and you saved me."

Late at night, Su Lixia was held tightly in Savika's arms, but the warmth from his chest could not dispel the cold trembling of her fingertips.

She was still trembling restlessly in her dream, with vague mumblings escaping from her lips, as if she was still trapped in the sound of the gunshot and unable to break free.

Savika kissed her awake, gently stroking the corners of her red eyes with her calloused fingertips. "What are you afraid of? Didn't I teach you how to blow someone's head off?"

"I killed someone..." She choked and buried her face in his shoulder, "I said it when I took the oath in medical school..."

"Here, staying alive is the highest oath." His kiss gradually intensified, soothing her trembling in the most primitive way. "Remember, a soft heart is more deadly than a bullet."

"I thought I was going to die..."

"Why are you dying?" He held her waist tightly and hugged her deeper into his arms, "You haven't given me a baby yet..."

They lingered until dawn, and finally Su Lixia sobbed and fell asleep in his arms. Savika gently caressed her sleeping face and coldly ordered into the communicator, "Send the heads of those bastards today... to Victor."

"Just say it's the first gift I gave him...in return."

The gentle morning light flows through the window lattice, illuminating the embracing figures and the gun under the pillow. The real hunt has just begun.
