Chapter 119: Shocking Changes on the High Seas
On the high seas, Victor stood on the deck, his gray-blue eyes sweeping across the dark sea. Naga warriors armed with live ammunition stood around him.
"Sir, Savica's late." A confidant whispered behind him, "I'm afraid there's a trap... Should we activate the emergency plan?"
"Why are you panicking? Haven't our people already infiltrated the Mo Family Manor?" Victor chuckled. "When Savika and I met, the manor's security must have been at its weakest. Even if the assassins we sent couldn't kill Mo Xiaohan, they could easily capture Ruan Xingchen or Su Lixia."
He swished his red wine while looking towards Bangkok: "When the time comes, whether it's true or false on the high seas, I'll have to control it."
At the same time, Savika on the speedboat was talking to Mo Xiaohan through an encrypted headset: "It is confirmed that Victor is on board... There are 12 people on the deck, and the heat source in the cabin shows at least 30 people..."
"According to the plan." Mo Xiaohan's voice was cold, "I want him to see me alive."
Atai's voice came from the communicator: "All distress signals have been cut off, and the drone swarm is in place."
…
The sound of an engine could be heard in the distance as Savica's speedboat sliced through the waves. He leaped onto the yacht's deck and said, "Mr. Victor has chosen a good spot."
"Welcome..." Victor smiled and opened his arms: "My dear Burmese Wolf."
"Stop talking nonsense. How are you going to prove your sincerity in cooperation?"
"Patience leads to the fattest prey." Victor smiled and gracefully gestured "please" sideways. "Why don't you go in and talk slowly?"
A thick fog hung over the high seas, and the massive yacht was anchored in the center of the circle Mo Xiaohan had set. Inside the cabin, the lights were dim, and cigar smoke slowly swirled in the air.
Victor sat in the main seat, a cigar burning at his fingertips, his eyes always fixed on Savika sitting opposite him.
Savika leaned back in the chair with a rebellious smile on her face, but her eyes were deep and unfathomable.
On the command ship far away, Mo Xiaohan monitored everything in the cabin in real time through the hidden equipment on Savika.
"Mr. Savica, your work at Kongti Port is truly magnificent." Victor's voice held a rare note of admiration. "You managed to break the sharpest Mohist sword. This kind of ability is exactly what I need."
He changed the subject, and his voice became more cautious: "But I must confirm, Mo Xiaohan..."
"boom--!!!"
His words were abruptly interrupted by a deafening explosion, sending the entire yacht careening. The lights went out instantly, and the sounds of shattering glass, twisting metal, and gunfire from outside the cabin filled every corner!
"What's going on?!" Victor roared, grabbing the edge of the table, trying to steady himself. His gray-blue eyes were practically spitting fire, and the muzzle of his gun instantly pointed at Savika, "Are you trying to trick me?"
"Idiot! If it were me, I would blow myself up too." Savika's smile disappeared, and he quickly drew his gun, his eyes darting towards the hatch. "They're not ours."
Mo Xiaohan overheard all of this on the command ship and immediately gave the order: "Action! Rescue Savika immediately!"
Inside the yacht, a team of Naga militants rushed out from the bottom cabin, pointing their guns at Victor and Savika at the same time.
"I'm sorry, sir... Your time is over. The story of you and Commander Savika perishing together sounds quite touching, doesn't it?" Victor's confidant suddenly raised his gun, his face devoid of respect, only cold ambition. "The Mo family general has died here. When I take over the Naga forces... the Mo family and all of Southeast Asia will be mine! Go!"
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
"Madman!" Savika spat. The moment the gunshot rang out, he swiftly dodged to the side, and the bullet flew past his shoulder. The instinct developed from years of fighting on the battlefield allowed him to quickly hide behind the nearest cover.
"Bastard!" Victor dodged and roared as he pulled the trigger, but his confidant fired first, and the bullet hit Victor's chest accurately, and blood instantly dyed his lapel red.
"You..." Before he could finish his words, another bullet hit his abdomen and he staggered backwards.
"boom--!!!"
A second wave of explosions struck, and the flames quickly engulfed everything. The yacht was sinking rapidly. Savika dodged nimbly amidst the violent shaking, weaving through the flames and smoke, avoiding burning objects and flying debris.
Mo Xiaohan stood on the deck of the command ship, looking at the yacht that turned into a sea of fire, his face extremely ugly.
"Speed up and get closer!" His voice was bone-chilling. The sea breeze messed up his black hair on his forehead, but it couldn't blow away the coldness in his eyes.
Atai led his men, braving the flying bullets and continuous explosions, to force their way closer and try their best to rescue them. However, after a violent explosion, the hull was completely torn apart.
In the chaos, they only found Victor's burned body, while Savika's figure was swallowed by the dark sea and no trace was left.
A-Tai reported to Mo Xiaohan in a deep voice, "Boss, Victor's confidant attempted to take advantage of the chaos and escape on a pre-ambushed submarine, but was intercepted by our people. Also..." He paused, his voice growing heavier, "Only Victor's body was found at the scene. After Savika fell into the sea... the positioning signal disappeared, and we are still conducting a full-scale search and rescue operation."
"Search! We must find him even if we have to turn the sea upside down!" Mo Xiaohan ordered to the roaring sea breeze.
At the same time, at the Mohist Manor in Bangkok.
Ruan Xingchen was leaning on the soft couch listening to the real-time transmission from the high seas channel. Su Lixia was curled up on the single sofa next to him, her fingers twisting the corners of her clothes anxiously, an inexplicable panic flooding her heart like a tide.
Suddenly, there were explosions in the communicator and gunshots in the manor at the same time. Ruan Xingchen's heart tightened and she staggered to her feet, holding her heavy pregnant belly.
At this moment, the door to the inner corridor was silently pushed open, and a man wearing a black tights and tactical paint on his face slid in like a ghost.
All the defenses in the manor were aimed at external threats, and no one expected that someone would be able to take advantage of the chaos of the gunfight to penetrate the layers of security and reach the main building.
Su Lixia was the first to see the shadow, and she froze instantly. The killer's target was crystal clear; the moment he entered the room, his gun was already raised, pointed precisely at Ruan Xingchen.
Time seemed to freeze at this moment.
Ruan Xingchen noticed Su Lixia's abnormality and the intruder, and tried to hide by protecting her belly, but her body was heavy and slow as she was more than seven months pregnant.
"Senior, be careful!"
Extreme fear instantly overwhelmed Su Lixia's nerves. Just when the killer was about to pull the trigger, Su Lixia's body had already acted before her brain.
Her movements were incredibly fast, even with an instinct she wasn't aware of. She quickly pulled out the pistol from her waistband, released the safety, raised her arm, and aimed.
There was no thinking, no hesitation, the whole process was completed in a flash, so smooth that it was terrifying.
"Bang! Bang!"
A huge gunshot rang out.
The killer's body trembled violently, the impact causing him to stumble back a step. He lowered his head, staring in disbelief at the two bloodstains rapidly spreading across his chest. He then looked up at the seemingly fragile girl, his eyes fixed on astonishment.
Then he fell straight back with a heavy thud.
The echo of the gunshots had not yet faded away, and the room was dead silent.
Su Lixia's arm was still raised, a faint blue smoke wafting from the muzzle of the gun. Her face was completely pale, her lips were tightly pursed, and her chest was heaving violently.
She didn't cry or scream, but just stared at the corpse on the ground. Her eyes were filled with empty fear and a coldness that even she herself was unfamiliar with.
The door was flung open, and armed guards rushed in, stunned by the scene inside. Ruan Xingchen finally recovered from her shock. She took a deep breath, protecting her stomach, and looked at Su Lixia with a complicated look.
"Xia Xia..." Ruan Xingchen's voice contained a hint of fear.
Su Lixia seemed to be brought back to life by this voice. She slowly lowered her arm holding the gun and slumped to the ground.
She avoided Ruan Xingchen's gaze, her voice dry and hoarse: "...It's okay, senior sister..." She looked at the killer on the ground, then looked at her hands, and added softly, as if saying to herself, "...I'm fine..."
The brief gunfight inside the manor was transmitted to Mo Xiaohan on the high seas via an encrypted channel. He listened to the manor guard captain's concise report: "A gunfight just occurred. Several Naga militants infiltrated the manor and were all killed. One of the assassins who infiltrated the main building was killed on the spot by Miss Su. Madam is safe."
Mo Xiaohan stared silently at the burning sea. After a moment, he gave an order: "Atai, you stay and continue to command the search and rescue. Mobilize all support. We must find Savika." Then he turned and walked to the other end of the deck, "Call the helicopter and return to Bangkok."
The sea breeze carried his words, carrying with it overwhelming anger and cold murderous intent.
