Chapter 79: Double Killing
The Song family's revenge came swiftly and fiercely.
Before dawn, when the thick darkness had not yet faded, three armed helicopters with the Song family totem painted on their fuselages flew low over the Mekong River, causing a heart-pounding roar.
“Whoosh—boom!”
The rockets precisely struck the oil tank farm, sending a blaze of flames tearing through the night sky of the Mekong River. Before the Mohist guards could react, a second wave of explosions followed, disintegrating the three freighters. The flaming debris drifted downstream, illuminating the entire waterway in crimson.
At the same time, in the Myitkyina mining area in northern Myanmar.
Under the cover of night, more than a dozen dark shadows sneaked into the Mo family's jade mine. They moved silently, like real ghosts.
“Crack.”
The sentry's neck was snapped and his body dragged into the shadows.
The leading man in black lifted his mask, revealing the Naga's unique bronze snake emblem on his chest, clearly visible in the moonlight.
He made a gesture and the team dispersed to install micro-bombs at key support points in the mine.
Five minutes later—
“Boom!”
The entire mine collapsed and three hundred miners were buried alive.
Ten minutes before the explosion, all communication equipment in the mine had failed.
At almost the same time, another group of Naga members attacked the Mohist arsenal in Lashio, northern Myanmar. While planting bombs, they deliberately nailed a Naga bronze snake emblem on the iron door of the arsenal.
Amidst the dull sound of explosions, mortars and ammunition boxes exploded in succession, flames penetrated the roof of the warehouse, and a mushroom cloud rose in the morning mist.
Bangkok, Strategy Office, Moshi Building.
Mo Xiaohan stared at several newly received battle reports with a serious expression.
"Boss, the Song family has gone crazy. They've even dropped their disguise." A-Tai stared at the satellite surveillance footage. "That mysterious organization called the Naga in northern Myanmar has also taken action. The Myitkyina mines were completely destroyed, killing all 300 miners. The Lashio arsenal was bombed, and over half of the heavy weapons were lost."
Mo Xiaohan's eyes fell on the sample tray. Several pieces of special metal fragments were particularly glaring under the light. The test report next to it clearly marked -
Extracted from the wreckage of a freighter, it contains trace amounts of rubidium, excluding the Laotian military's standard rockets, and matches the characteristics of high-purity military armor-piercing rockets.
"Has the source been located?" he asked, his voice devoid of emotion.
"Manufactured by the military-industrial complex controlled by the Berg family." The technician quickly retrieved the database and looked up a weapon model comparison table. "The European military-industrial complex has an exclusive propellant formula, produced by a military factory that they absolutely control. It's simply not available on the black market."
Mo Xiaohan frowned slightly and changed the subject: "Where did the Song family's armed helicopter come from?"
The technician immediately opened the encrypted database and searched: "The latest Swiss model entered the country three days ago through Berg Pharmaceuticals' shipping channel. The customs declaration was disguised as a special-effect drug."
Another report popped up immediately: "Analysis of the explosive residues from the Myitkyina mines and the Lashio arsenal has also been released. The barium content of the plastic explosives used by the Naga is identical to that of Berg Military Industries' Ghost series."
The Song family and the Naga, two lines, one source - the Berg family.
Mo Xiaohan narrowed his eyes, a cold glint flashing in them: "Victor Berg?" He raised his eyes and glanced at everyone present, "In half a day, he found the traitor who passed the badge and gun that were used to frame him."
Ruan Xingchen stared at the Berg family's European industrial empire, his tone full of confusion. "The Berg family's roots are in Europe, and the Mohist school's focus is in Southeast Asia. The two places are thousands of miles apart, and they have always lived in peace. But Victor suddenly ran to Southeast Asia to provoke, and his goal is very clear—"
She turned to look at Mo Xiaohan, her eyebrows slightly raised, "First, destroy me; second, use the Song family and the Naga to attack you. Every step is full of hostility towards the Mo family. This doesn't seem to be a fight for interests, but more like... a long-planned revenge. But in theory, you won't..."
"I won't leave such a big hidden danger and give him the opportunity to take revenge." Mo Xiaohan continued her words in a cold voice.
He pulled up the purge list from five years ago—twenty-two families, three hundred and seventy-nine people, all confirmed dead.
"But what if..." Ruan Xingchen was silent for a moment, his tone tinged with uncertainty, "What if he wasn't on the purge list from the beginning?"
"It seems that he is hiding deeper than I thought."
Mo Xiaohan's eyes darkened, and his fingertips slowly tightened on the table.
Northern Myanmar, deep inside the Naga headquarters.
Victor stood at the window, his gray-blue eyes reflecting the cumulonimbus clouds rolling over the tropical rainforest in the distance.
"Where is the Song family's army?" he asked, shaking his wine glass.
"We've already destroyed three Mohist freighters," the confidant reported, his head bowed. "Also, our forces have already succeeded in seizing the Mohist mines in Myitkyina and the Lashio arsenal."
Victor chuckled, with a hint of pride: "Very good."
He turned and walked towards the display case, taking out a dagger inlaid with rubies. The copper snake emblem on the hilt was exactly the same as the Naga emblem, and the rust on the blade glowed an old dark red under the light.
"Mo Xiaohan..." His fingertips brushed against the rust marks, his eyes suddenly becoming as fierce as a snake: "When you massacred my family, you never dreamed that you would leave someone like me alive, right?"
Outside the window, cumulonimbus clouds were getting lower and lower, muffled thunder was rolling in the distance, and the poisonous snake finally showed its fangs.
