Chapter 86 The Inescapable Cage

Chapter 86 The Inescapable Cage

The morning mist in northern Myanmar was chilly, enveloping every inch of the land. Savika leaned against an armored vehicle, staring at a map of Kachin State, the fierceness in his eyes colder than the mist.

The location of an important Naga transit supply camp in Kachin State has been discovered, and today we will completely wipe out that stronghold.

Savika looked back in the direction of the military camp. Su Lixia should still be sleeping. He deliberately stayed up until the early morning last night to ensure that she would not have the strength to run again today.

"Set off."

Engines roared as the convoy rolled across the muddy red dirt road, its outlines quickly blurred by the morning mist. Su Lixia leaned against the window, watching the last military vehicle disappear from view.

Savika went to encircle the Nagas, and the camp was empty. This was her only chance to escape.

Su Lixia took advantage of the brief break during the guard change and slipped out quietly under the cover of the morning mist and the shadow of the barracks.

The breath of freedom washed over her, and Su Lixia's heartbeat was so rapid it threatened to burst from her chest. She ran so fast that she didn't notice she had strayed from the main road. When she realized what was happening, there was no one around her, only dense jungle and muddy trails.

The sound of a car engine was faintly heard in the distance. Su Lixia thought she had encountered a smuggling convoy and rushed out to wave happily, but she didn't expect to be faced with the black muzzle of a gun.

"Chinese girl?" The scarred man spoke with a thick northern Burmese accent, and the bronze snake emblem looked particularly ferocious in the sunlight.

It's a Naga.

Su Lixia's blood froze instantly, and she finally realized that she was too anxious to escape and had forgotten that this was a no-man's land.

She wanted to say that she knew Savika, but she swallowed the words back. If Naga knew that she was Savika's, she would probably die a more miserable death.

"It looks good. Send it to the 'Golden Snake House'." Scarface grinned, revealing a row of yellow teeth. "We're short on East Asian goods lately. This one will fetch a good price."

Su Lixia's hair stood up all over her body. She struggled violently with her hands and feet, but was hit on the back of her neck by a knife. Her eyes went black and she fainted.

Scarface roughly stuffed Su Lixia into a truck, which also contained several other captured girls.

The truck bumped along the muddy mountain road for who knows how long before it finally stopped in front of a bamboo building deep in the mountains. This was the Naga's "Golden Snake Building". At the door stood a statue of a Naga snake head that was as tall as a person, which looked particularly creepy.

When she woke up again, Su Lixia was lying on a bed covered with cheap silk sheets. The back of her neck ached slightly, her hands and feet were tightly tied with thick hemp ropes, and a cloth strip was stuffed in her mouth.

The room was dim, with only a few faint rays of light leaking in through the cracks in the bamboo. The air was filled with the nauseating stench of cheap perfume and sweat. From outside the door came the occasional sound of a woman's suppressed sobs, a man's lewd banter, and the crack of a whip lashing flesh, making Su Lixia tremble all over.

She desperately twisted her wrists, trying to break free, but the hemp rope was too tight, cutting into her flesh and drawing blood. But she didn't dare stop, so she could only grit her teeth and continue struggling.

After an unknown amount of time, the door finally opened. A heavily made-up madam walked in. She pinched Su Lixia's chin and looked her over carefully. "New? Where did you get it from?"

Su Lixia shook her head desperately, tears rolling down her face.

Seeing this, the madam sneered and ripped the cloth from her mouth: "What's your name?"

"I... I was kidnapped!" Su Lixia pleaded with tears in her eyes, "Let me go, my family will give you money..."

“Bang!”

A slap landed hard on Su Lixia's face, causing a burning pain.

"Once you're in the Golden Snake Tower, don't even think about leaving." The madam approached Su Lixia fiercely and patted her face. "You'll be entertaining guests tonight! Be obedient and you'll suffer less. If you dare to act rashly, you'll be in tears!"

After saying that, she shook her hand away in disgust and turned to leave. When she reached the door, she turned back and glared at Su Lixia: "Stay still, don't wait for me to come back and deal with you!"

The door slammed shut with a piercing sound, the lock snapping sound particularly harsh, completely destroying Su Lixia's last shred of hope. She looked at the bloodstain on her wrist, tears instantly welling up. Suddenly, she thought of Savika's face.

Why did she run? Being trapped in the barracks with him, at least he was the only one there. And he was so handsome, so even if she was restricted in her freedom, she wouldn't have to face a strange and ugly face, nor would she be filled with resistance and disgust.

In the Golden Snake Building, she had to face countless strangers, and she couldn't even predict what kind of person would abuse her in the next second.

But it was too late to regret. Fear mixed with an indescribable emotion came over me, and even my cries were filled with despair.

That night, Su Lixia was forced to wear a revealing gauze dress and was pushed into a room with a big red wedding character on it. Various disgusting "toys" were scattered on the bed.

A fat and ugly middle-aged man was drinking, with a ferocious naga snake head tattooed on his chest.

"New stuff?" He reached out drunkenly to touch her face, and the smell of sweat from his palm mixed with the smell of alcohol hit her face.

Su Lixia picked up the bottle on the table and smashed it on his head. Glass shards mixed with blood splattered, and he groaned and fell to the side of the table. Su Lixia didn't bother to look at him, and turned to rush out the door, but the guard at the door grabbed him by the hair.

"Bang!"

That's when the gunshots rang out.

Suddenly, flames shot up from outside the bamboo building, and screams echoed one after another. Su Lixia stumbled out and saw the Naga men falling like wheat.

Then she saw Savika.

The young officer, wearing a bulletproof tactical vest, stood atop an SUV. His dharmakaya knife dripped with blood, its blade gleaming eerily cold in the firelight. Behind him, the trail of machine gun fire wove a web of deadly fire across the night sky.

"Savika!" Su Lixia screamed with all her might, staggering towards him.

But Savika just glanced down at her, his dark eyes expressionless, as if he was just looking at an insignificant stranger.

"Retreat." He retracted his gaze and spoke coldly, completely ignoring Su Lixia.

She was stunned for a moment, even forgetting to cry, and just watched him jump off the roof nimbly and walk straight towards the SUV.

Su Lixia hurriedly chased after him, grabbed the corner of his clothes, and said in a trembling voice: "Please! Savika! Take me back! I was wrong!"

"Let go." Savika didn't look back, raised her hand to pull back the corner of her clothes, her tone as cold as ice.

She was so anxious that tears welled up in her eyes again. She hurriedly took another half step forward, pleading desperately, "I won't! Savika, please don't leave me! I really won't run away! I am willing to give birth to a baby for you!"

Savika then turned his head, his dark eyes sweeping across her tear-stained face. After a moment, he said coldly, "I'll deal with you when I get back."

On the military bus back to the barracks, Su Lixia huddled in a corner, wrapped in Savika's uniform jacket, tears streaming silently. Savika sat across from her, wiping her dharma blade, her tear-stained face reflected on the blade.

"Do you know how the naga treat disobedient 'cargo'?" he suddenly said, his voice devoid of emotion. "They nail them to a wooden frame and let everyone watch as snakes crawl in from underneath..."

Su Lixia began to retch violently.

Savika leaned over and placed the emerald ring against her trembling lips. "If you do that again, I will personally escort you back to the Golden Snake Tower."

When they returned to the military camp, Su Lixia had cried until she was exhausted, and Savika threw her back on the bed like carrying prey.

"Welcome home, little wildcat." Savika whispered in her tearful ear, "You can never escape..."

He kissed away her tears, his voice frighteningly gentle, "But I will make you stay willingly..."
