Chapter 89 Stockholm Moonlight

Chapter 89 Stockholm Moonlight

——Outside the cage is danger, only the arms that imprison her give her a strange sense of security.

Since Victor's departure, the naga's actions have cooled. The occasional provocations were insignificant, quickly suppressed by Savika's iron grip. In the end, only a few corpses remained hanging on the barbed wire, like a warning shed by a venomous snake.

The days in the military camp in northern Myanmar suddenly came to a halt.

Su Lixia sat on a wooden box beside the training ground, watching Savika, shirtless, fighting the soldiers in close combat.

His movements were swift and brutal, each elbow strike carrying the dull thud of dislocated bones. His muscles flexed in the scorching sun, beads of sweat trickled down the scars on his back. Su Lixia found herself mesmerized.

Ever since she escaped last time and was brought back by Savika, she had never tried to break free. At least here, no one would sell her as a commodity, and she wouldn't have to face those gazes that stuck to her and made her feel sick.

She began to get used to his presence, to the "shelter" he brought, built with violence. Compared to the unknown dangers lurking in the dark, Savika's imprisonment strangely became the only safe zone in hell.

That night, Su Lixia mustered up the courage and grabbed Savika's clothes. "Savicka... I want to go home, or... just let me call and let you know I'm safe, okay?"

Savika was polishing his jade-studded Dharma knife. He didn't even look up when he heard this: "This is your home."

"But my parents will worry about me disappearing..." Her voice was filled with tears.

He put down the knife, turned around and pinched her chin, the emerald ring scratching her skin painfully. "Forget them." His voice was calm. "You only need me."

Before she could say anything else, Savika kissed her possessively. Su Lixia closed her eyes and stopped struggling. She could even clearly feel her heartbeat getting out of rhythm.

The signs of Stockholm syndrome quietly entwine around the heart like vines.

A few days later, Savika came in with a huge dress box and threw it on the cot.

"Try it on."

Su Lixia opened the box, revealing a moonlight-white dress. The fabric was as soft as moonlight, and the hem of the dress was embellished with tiny diamonds, making it obvious that it was worth a fortune.

"This is…?"

"I need a female companion for the Mohist anniversary party." Savika leaned against the table, looking her over. "I'll take you to Bangkok to meet some important people."

Su Lixia's fingers stroked the fabric, and she suddenly heard her heartbeat quicken. Was she actually looking forward to it? Looking forward to this journey outside of captivity.

The night before leaving for Bangkok, Savika was more aggressive and clingy than usual.

After it was over, Su Lixia curled up exhausted in his arms, the man's arms wrapped around her waist like an iron hoop, his chin resting on the top of her head.

In the darkness, she listened to his steady heartbeat and suddenly asked softly, "Savika, will you keep me locked up like this forever?"

He was silent for a moment. Just when she thought he wouldn't answer, a deep voice came from above her head: "Be good."

Before she could respond, he spoke again, his tone softening slightly: "There are many flowers in Bangkok."

Su Lixia's heart trembled. His unexpected gentleness was like a trap that lured her into falling.

"Mr. Mo has planted a garden full of lilies of the valley for his wife." Savika stroked her back intermittently. "When the time comes... you can pick out some you like."

She grabbed his wrist and said in a dazed voice, "Savika, I—"

The rest of the words were not uttered because they were swallowed up by his kiss between his lips and teeth.

Outside the window, the moon in northern Myanmar still shone a deep crimson, like a silver plate soaked in blood. And Su Lixia was gradually, willingly sinking into the gentleness of this demon.
