Chapter 3 Counterattack 2 If we don't kill her, we will die

The scissors emitted a dazzling cold light under the candlelight.

Su He looked at the cold light and did not move for a long time.

Chunlan, who was standing by, was also trembling with breath and was at a loss.

"Why? Do you want me to do it myself?" Li Shuli asked coldly.

Su He replied: "If I lose one hand, I won't be able to serve you properly."

Li Shuli sneered: "I only need to spend money, and there are plenty of people to use. I don't need you. As for you, you can just be a toy to amuse me."

The three words "thing" pierced Su He's chest like a sharp knife.

"I don't have much patience. Do you want me to teach you how to destroy a hand with a pair of scissors?" Li Shuli pressed on again.

Su He was in a desperate situation, and every breath seemed to be extremely long.

The tea on her head mixed with the blood on her face, dripping onto the floor tiles, forming a dark wet mark, like a big mouth that wanted to swallow her.

She slowly stretched out her arm to reach the pair of scissors in front of her that was flashing with cold light.

That was not just a pair of scissors, it was the arrogance and domineering of the superior, as well as her own lowliness and humiliation.

At that moment, she seemed to see her father's struggle when he was pressed on the bench, and the unwillingness in her mother's eyes when her throat was cut.

Her hand was still moving quietly forward, toward the scissors.

Just as her fingertips were about to touch the edge of the scissors, Chunlan suddenly ran over, threw herself on the ground and snatched the scissors away: "The person who stole the steamed buns was me, not Sister Su. If you want to punish me, please punish me." After saying that, she was about to poke the scissors into her wrist.

Su He hurriedly grabbed her and said, "Chunlan, this matter has nothing to do with you. Don't get involved."

Chunlan cried and replied: "It's me, it's me."

The two of them were pushing and pulling each other.

Li Shuli, who was sitting in the rose chair, suddenly stood up, picked up the gilded incense burner beside her and smashed it hard on Chunlan's head.

There was a loud "bang" and Chunlan was hit hard. The scissors slipped from her hand and then her body went limp and fell down, unconscious.

Blood oozed from her head and flowed along her hair onto the floor tiles.

Su He was stunned and looked at Li Shuli.

Li Shuli's face was gloomy: "How dare you treat me as a fool? Go to hell." After saying that, she raised the incense burner and wanted to continue smashing it at Chunlan.

Su He leaned forward to block Chunlan's attack and protected her head: "Miss, please stop hitting me. If you do, Chunlan will die."

Li Shuli asked back: "Why, she can't die?"

Su He replied: "Chunlan has served the young lady for many years after all."

Li Shuli sneered, "Hehe," So what? It's just a worthless life."

He also said: "A lowly person gave birth to a lowly offspring. I don't know which lowly person gave birth to these lowly offspring of yours."

Su He suddenly looked up and looked at Li Shuli again.

She could allow him to beat and scold her, but she could not allow him to humiliate her father and mother.

She said, "Please don't involve the elders."

"Are you warning me?"

"I dare not!"

"Whether you dare or not, today I will let you die together with this little bitch." After saying this, Li Shuli stepped forward, raised the incense burner and smashed it down heavily.

Su He hurriedly bent down to protect Chunlan.

The incense burner fell on her shoulder, shaking her body. The intense pain almost made her unable to breathe.

Li Shuli was still not satisfied, so she threw away the incense burner with a clang, then reached out to grab Su He's hair. She still wanted to grab her and slam her against the wall like she did last time.

Su He dodged the outstretched hand, then quickly stood up from the ground, standing opposite Li Shuli, looking at each other solemnly.

Under the flickering candlelight, her clothes were disheveled, her face was covered in blood, and her eyes were as cold as iron.

Li Shuli missed the target and showed a bit of surprise on her face: "Oh, you actually learned to resist. It's true that the biting dog doesn't bark."

Su He still stared at her without saying a word.

Li Shuli's eyes were filled with pride. "You should know that there are guards outside the door. I only need to tell them to come in and protect their master. Today, you will definitely die."

Then she pointed at Chunlan who had fainted on the ground and said, "No, and her too. You all will die. I will smash you to death. I will throw your bodies in the back mountain and let the wild dogs gnaw on them." After she finished speaking, she burst into laughter.

Su He secretly clenched his fists, and even his breathing became a little tighter.

She knew that Li Shuli was a man of her words. She had witnessed with her own eyes Li Shuli abusing her maidservants and poisoning her stepmother with arsenic.

Li Shuli picked up the incense burner on the ground again and moved closer to Su He.

She advanced step by step, and then she retreated step by step, until she reached the corner and had nowhere to retreat.

Li Shuli said, "Go ahead and hide. See where you can hide."

Su He's voice was hoarse: "Miss, you should know that even rabbits will bite when they are angry."

Li Shuli giggled a few times, "Then bite one and let me see. If you have the guts, then bite it. Do you dare to bite it..." As she spoke, she swung the incense burner and hit Su He again.

However, before the incense burner fell on Su He, the scissors in Su He's hand stabbed deeply into her neck.

Li Shuli was stunned by the stab. The intense pain made her stagger, and the incense burner in her hand fell to the ground with a clang.

She was filled with shock and disbelief.

How dare a bitch kill her? How dare she!

She wanted to summon the guards outside the door, and she wanted the guards to dismember the bitch.

But as soon as she opened her mouth, it was covered tightly.

Su He covered her mouth with one hand and raised the scissors with the other hand and stabbed her neck again.

Warm blood spurted out and splashed onto Su He's face.

The scissors were the ones Li Shuli asked her to use to cut off her hand, and they were also the ones she hid in her sleeve for self-defense when she just stood up. Now, it pierced into Li Shuli's body neatly.

Li Shuli couldn't bear the pain and her body slowly went limp.

Su He also fell to the ground under her force.

Blood spread freely on the cold floor tiles, like flowers blooming in the dark night.

Li Shuli could no longer speak, blood was gushing out of her mouth, but her eyes were staring at Su He without blinking.

Su He looked at her calmly.

My mother also bled to death in this way!

In countless dreams, she saw her mother bleeding and shouting, "He He, it hurts so much," "He He, come and save me..."

She was unable to save her mother, but today she must save herself.

Su He said: "I told you that a rabbit will bite when it is anxious."

Then he added, "But I don't like the feeling of scissors piercing my flesh."

Li Shuli frowned in pain. Her usually arrogant eyes were filled with fear, boundless fear...

After a moment, she finally closed her eyes and died.

Su He threw away the scissors in his hand, stood up, stepped over the blood that was spreading everywhere, and carefully helped Chunlan who had fallen to the ground up.

She called "Chunlan" several times before Chunlan slowly woke up.

Chunlan still looked frightened and murmured, "Is Sister Su okay?"

Su He replied: "I'm fine."

"Where's the young lady?"

"Dead."

Chunlan was confused for a moment, then looked up and saw Li Shuli's body on the ground.

She was so shocked that she stood up straight and looked at Su He: "Miss is dead...dead?"

"I killed her." Su He said calmly, "If we don't kill her, we will be the ones to die."

Chunlan got up from the ground in a daze, staggered twice, and slowly walked towards Li Shuli's body.

Li Shuli lay on her side, her blood had turned into a stream, soaking half of her body.

Chunlan was trembling: "It's over... It's over. If she dies, we will die too. The Li family... The Li family will not let us go."

Su He was silent for a long time and said, "The Li family won't know that she is dead." Then he turned around and went into the house to look for something.

Chunlan followed her and asked in a trembling voice, "What does Sister Su want?"

Su He replied: "Deal with the body first, then clean up the bloodstains in the house."

But there was no bag containing the body in the house, nor was there any clean water to wipe the bloodstains.

Su He thought for a moment, then walked to the mirror. The self in the mirror was covered in blood, looked miserable, and had a big bump on his forehead.

She wiped her face with a towel, straightened her hair and clothes, then turned around to open the door.

Chunlan grabbed her and said, "Sister Su..."

Because of fear, her face, which was poked and scabbed by Li Shuli, looked extremely distorted.

Su He patted the back of her hand: "Don't worry, it's okay."

After she said that, she opened the door a little and walked out sideways.

The cold wind outside is biting, but the moon is bright and the stars are sparse.

Two guards stood on duty at the bottom of the stairs, while Zhang Xiuhua squatted in the flower bed next to her, in a daze.

The world outside the door is still as peaceful and tranquil as before.

Su He called out loudly: "Aunt Zhang, the young lady has something to tell you."

Upon hearing this, the two guards glanced towards the main room, didn't think much about it, and continued on duty.

Zhang Xiuhua shuddered, quickly replied "yes", and strode up the stairs.

As soon as she walked into the corridor, she saw the bulge on Su He's forehead. She knew that Su He was beaten for stealing steamed buns, so she asked with pity, "Does it hurt?"

Then he asked, "Why did she call me?"

Su He didn't respond to her, but just led her inside.

The two of them entered the house one after another and then closed the door.

As soon as Zhang Xiuhua stopped in front of the door, she smelled a strong smell of blood. She looked up and saw Li Shuli lying in a pool of blood.

She suddenly stopped and pointed at the person on the ground: "She...she...she..."

Su He answered simply, "Dead."

When Zhang Xiuhua heard the word "dead", her legs suddenly went weak and her whole body began to tremble.

She looked at Chunlan, who was crying with her shoulders hunched.

She looked at Su He again. Although Su He's face was calm, one could guess from her gloomy brows that something big had just happened in the house.

Zhang Xiuhua was so panicked that even her tongue and teeth were out of control: "He He, Chun... Chun Lan, you... you guys..."

"Li Shuli wanted to kill both of us, so I killed her." Su He said calmly.

Zhang Xiuhua was panic-stricken and finally managed to calm herself down. "I... I'll go lead away the guards outside the door. Hehe, Chunlan, you two hurry up and run away." She said, turning around and about to leave the house.

Su He grabbed her and said, "Aunt, we can't escape. The government will hunt us down and we will be beheaded."

Zhang Xiuhua burst into tears: "What should I do?"

"If Auntie is willing to help us, please hide from the guards outside the door and get us sacks, ropes, and water so that we can clean up this place."

"What happens after you clean it up?"

"For now, we can only take one step at a time."

Zhang Xiuhua looked at the corpse on the ground again and staggered: "Okay, I... I will go find a rope and a sack now. Oh, and some water. I will just say... just say that the lady wants to take a bath." After that, she stepped out of the house.

In just a moment, Zhang Xiuhua brought a few buckets of water.

She hid the sack and rope in a bucket and successfully hid it from the guards.

She also went to the bottom of the stairs and told the guards: "The young lady is very tired today. You don't need to keep watch here. Go back to your rooms and rest."

The two guards were named Jin An and Jin Shun.

Jin An was puzzled: "Isn't it usually Miss Su who delivers the message? Why did it become Aunt Zhang today?"

Zhang Xiuhua pretended to be calm and lowered her voice: "Miss Su was beaten today and can't pass on the message. You all know her temper, so don't ask any more questions."

Jin An and Jin Shun did not suspect anything and turned back to the house.

In the main room, the three of them worked together to put Li Shuli into a sack, tied it tightly with a rope, and then washed the blood-stained floor tiles with clean water. It was already midnight when they finished.

Chunlan looked at Li Shuli, who was tied up like a dumpling, and asked softly, "What should we do about this?"

Su He replied: "We carried it to the back mountain and buried it."

So the three of them worked together again to carry Li Shuli out of the house and to the back mountain of the villa.

On the mountain path in the back mountain, two men walked together in the night.

A man dressed in black walked slowly, apparently injured.

Another man was also seriously injured and seemed to be an follower of the man in black.

The attendant's tone was hesitant: "Boss knew... knew it was a trap, yet he still came alone."

Then he said, "Boss, can you still hold on?"

The man in black took a breath and said, "Say less and save some energy for your journey."

The two were ambushed and injured, and were chased all the way. What's more, the road was desolate and full of starving people, so the two had not eaten for three whole days.

The attendant was full of grievances: "If I don't speak, I will faint from hunger."

The man in black lowered his head, too lazy to pay any more attention to him.

The attendant asked again: "Boss, aren't you hungry?"

The man in black still ignored him.

"If the boss is hungry, think about the ones in Changlong Restaurant..." Before he could finish his words, he suddenly saw his master fall down.

The follower exclaimed "Boss" and hurriedly reached out to help, but he himself rolled into the grass by the roadside.

"Boss...Boss, are you okay?"

The man in black lay exhausted on the side of the road and said, "Not bad!"

The two of them slowed down and struggled to get up.

When he lowered his eyes, the follower suddenly found a round bun in the grass.

He was overjoyed and quickly picked up the steamed bun and stuffed it into his master's hand. Then he bent down and walked to the other end of the grass. In just a moment, he found another steamed bun.

"There is always a way out, boss, eat quickly." The follower said and took a bite first.

The man in black looked puzzled: "Why are there steamed buns here?"

The attendant sorted out the gossip he had heard: "The Li family in the capital has a villa here. I heard that Li Shuli, the eldest daughter of the Li family, had a dispute with her stepmother and was exiled to the villa. I also heard that Li Shuli often placed food on this mountain path to help the hungry. I guess she put these buns there."

The man in black breathed a sigh of relief: "Li Shuli, you are very kind."

After eating the steamed buns, the two of them finally regained some strength.

The man in black glanced at the sky and said, "It's too conspicuous to stay here on the mountain road. Let's go find a place to rest in the mountains. It won't be too late to go into the city after daybreak."

The attendant nodded and replied "yes".

The two of them walked hand in hand into the nearby forest.

In the forest, Su He was digging a pit to bury the body...
