Chapter 190: The Deal

"Stay here and wait for me. I’ll be back before you know it," Malcolm whispered to her before he left, moving in silence toward the small village he had sighted.

They had been traveling through the forest for a while and were now close to a small town. They were safe, but they could not keep traveling on foot. She remembered him mentioning something about finding a blanket for her and a horse they could use to get to a new destination...or something like that.

Raziah sat on a small rock, staring at the ground. There was an empty look shrouding her Golden eyes, and instead of her normal black locks, her hair had transformed into stunning Golden curls, touching her waist.

Her temperature had gone down, and she was not feeling too well. She would shiver every now and then, and her skin was turning pale as seconds ticked by. She could die of cold if she didn’t find any warmth soon.

But that was the least of her worries. She was not bothered about that. All she wanted was everything back. She wanted her father back, her mother back, and Savannah back too. She wanted Kaneria to still be standing proudly on his feet with laughter coming from every corner, not tormented screams and splashing blood.

Every second of the incident was stuck to her memory like glue. Tears kept running down her eyes non-stop, her heart clenching and breaking apart. It was suffocating, and didn’t know the meaning of life anymore if all the people she cared about were gone.

It stung so badly, and she kept crying. She’s never felt so lost and exposed. She’s never felt so alone.

The image of her mother being torn apart was the major trauma in her head. The scene kept repeating itself over and over again, and Raziah was drenched in sweat in the next few seconds and was puking out everything she had eaten that night.

The socket of her eyes bulged out from pain, and she fell to the ground as more of the food made its way out of her body, till she was empty inside.

The Goosebumps that climbed her skin again had her recoiling with a gasp, and she started to crawl away from whatever was hiding and watching her from where it was behind a small house a few feet away.

"You’re the Princess," A masculine voice said.

Raziah hid behind the rock, panting. She wondered where Malcolm had gone to, and if he was alright, "What do you want?" She cried softly, pressing her palm over her mouth to keep the sobs from escaping. Was he here to finish her off too?

How did they find her so fast?!

"I’m not here to hurt you, Princess," The voice stated, "I came to lend you a helping hand," It added.

Raziah couldn’t stop trembling from fear. She could barely peek out of the rock to check if she could see the strange figure of what looked like someone who could barely walk. Her fingers gripped the rock and her lips shook as she stared harder and noticed the man.

He had dandelion eyes and only had pants on. Even though he was very muscular and had a powerful demeanor that could make people run into their homes and hide, he could barely walk as if his legs could not get a firm grip on the ground and was using the walls as support.

His lips were dry, and he had pale skin.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"Evander," He replied.

"What do you want from me?"

"A deal. A promise," Evander replied, leaning on the wall while heaving a sigh. He was hella tired from his long journey.

"What Deal?"

"I have an enemy, Raziah," Evander began, staring into the darkness, "And you...have an enemy too. We have a common enemy, and believe it or not they both live in one body now,"

What the hell was he saying? She couldn’t understand.

"But unfortunately, I have lost most of my powers while coming into this world and I’m almost powerless right now. On the other hand, you...are beginning to just rise. We are both weak and stand no chance against the ones against us. So, we have to wait patiently until the time is right,"

"My enemy? You mean...,"

"The one that took down your entire kingdom and killed your people, your beloved mother. Isn’t he your enemy?"

Raziah’s eyes darkened, enraged with a growing cold that spread through her, "Yes, yes he is,"

"And you’re well aware that you’re in no position right now to have your revenge,"

"I want to!" She deadpanned, not feeling so scared anymore.

"And you will, of course," Evander replied, "When you’re ready. When you’re ripe enough to strike, and that might take a while. Our enemy isn’t any ordinary being,"

"What is he?" She asked curiously

"King of Hell," Evander replied.

Raziah did not believe that "You mean he rules...hell?"

Evander did not know how he was supposed to explain it to a little girl like her, who had only gotten a little taste of the dangers lurking and watching her in this world. Not to mention, but there was something fascinating about her right now.

A magnificent and powerful Aura was flowing through her veins, so cold and mean. He couldn’t believe her body hadn’t exploded to pieces with such a Monstrous power gliding inside of her, trying to merge and become one with her.

It was what he had seen inside of her that had compelled him to approach her because if this cold managed to become one with her, she might just stand a chance against the King of Hell. She could turn out to be his natural enemy - the only being capable of killing that beast!

And Evander wanted that beast dead. He’s been searching for a way to end its life, and that was why Evander had followed it out of hell and into the living world - risking his life. The King of Hell has ruled for too long, and Evander felt it was time for a new King.

A better King.

"How will you help me?" Raziah asked.

She needed to know. Just because he was lending a helping hand didn’t mean she could trust him. He could be one of them, but then again, he had a completely different presence than all the others gave off.

And right now, she needed all the help she could get. Her guts yelled at her to trust him and see how it went.

"Tell me, Raziah, what exactly do you want to do?"

She fisted her hands, remembering the corpses of her people she had seen all over the ground. How her father and mother had been brutally murdered, and how Savannah had sacrificed herself for them to get through. She remembered the haunting memories of her burning kingdom and the screams and blood that were so thick in the air.

It made her vile. It made her unrecognizable.

"Whatever those things were, I do not want even one of them to remain in this world. I want to purge every single one of them, I want to destroy everything they own and everyone they love. I want to end them and stand in the middle of their corpses with a smile on my face. I... want to make this world one that only humans live and thrive in, with not a single monster left alive!"

A crooked smile formed on Evander’s face. He’d never seen anyone so filled with the determination and raw urge to kill like the bloody look in her eyes, "Let’s make that happen,"
