Raziah had never experienced anything like it before. She’s been in many battles, but this one was something else. The emotional instability that rocked through her, the force she had to exert to jump or roll out of the way, the fast decisions she had to make that could instantly decide the course of her life. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Her luck had to be insane because she was still in One Piece.
Right now, everyone around was her enemy. The Warrior Witches that had come out under the instruction of Bell to protect her were now after her life, and each of them was very strong.
Mirabai stood alone without making a move, watching the whole scenario. Raziah knew Mirabai had taken over their minds, and now hundreds of them around were all coming after her. She wasn’t counting on anyone’s help as Bell was still trying to deal with William at the same time heavily resisting the mind control Mirabai was trying to put on him too. His movements were faltering severely.
Blood splurted out of Raziah’s mouth as she took another hit of the spells being thrown at her, and she was looking very weak with her knees to the ground and her head staring at the sand below her.
She began to ask herself if she would make it out of this alive. Her mother isn’t like any other. Right now, she was the most powerful as she was able to fight without even raising a fist. The main power of healers is the ability to get deep into any creatures mind and control them to your heart’s desires.
Anything at all.
Be it vampires, witches, and even the ones the world hasn’t seen yet.
A spear came straight for her back, followed by a witch throwing a ferocious punch. It all came like a loud ringing in her head as several more slammed into different parts of her, their spells following to reek more damage into her body. By now, there were so many spears impaired into her body.
With blood dripping from her eyes and nose, she glanced up at her mother. Tears mixed with the blood, and she shed them. Unlike before when she felt nothing no matter how deep the injury was, this time she could feel every bit of it. Every attack was lethal, her fingers bled right to her toes.
All there was, was pain. No one was coming to save her. Death was knocking on her door. Raziah tried to crawl away, but she couldn’t feel her legs. Well, she wasn’t feeling so bad about death’s call after all she was bound to die soon. She’s already a few months from turning twenty-five.
Dying by her mother’s hand isn’t such a bad thing. She adored the woman. She felt no anger toward her. The only bitterness she felt was toward the person behind it all, pulling the strings. She wished she could at least know who the person is.
More blood poured out of her, and her skin was so pale you could clearly see her veins from it. She struggled hard to breathe, waiting for her time to come. Dust was raised again as a fist made impact on her skull, throwing her into the witch’s town.
She descended down and crashed into a house, with debris falling over her. At this point, she kept asking herself why she wasn’t dead yet. She could feel that her back and leg were growing numb with pain like something else had pierced through them from the fall.
She only had the strength of a human now. She should be dead from that fall. The time she had fought with the redhead and suddenly uprooted the Vampiress’s head, something had awakened inside of her that caused such greater speed and power. She had figured out her power was being fuelled by hate, and the raw urge to kill.
Killing wasn’t in her system. At least...for now.
And so, she had to force herself to snap out of it. She was glad she did.
But now as she could hear the screaming voices of witches scampering away from the scene, and that Majestic presence of her mother inching closer to her with every step, she hoped to find another way out. Reasonably, the only way to stop her mother...was to kill her.
Lying there with that persistent sound of forcefully drawing air into her lungs, another tear struck down her eyes as her mother reached where she lay and looked down at her daughter, "You’re the only one that can stop me, Raziah." She said again with that emotionless tone, "For I’ll keep taking over the minds of every being on earth I come across, and make them kill themselves. My mission doesn’t end with you. The only person’s mind I have no control over, is you. Not because it’s impossible or because you’re the second healer to ever exist, but because I can’t control what you’ve made it firmly yours,"
Mirabai squatted down and grabbed a handful of her daughter’s hair, pulling on it roughly.
"You’ve filled it to the brim with something unshaken, and you’ve stood your ground many times against all sorts of externalities that dare to shake you up... including my powers," Mirabai pulled even harder, almost tearing the strands off Raziah’s skull, "What is it that you’ve solemnly made up your mind to do? What is it so powerful that is keeping me out? What has filled up your mind, my child? It’s not something...good."
Another tug and Mirabai yanked many strands out of Raziah’s head. A painful cry let the princess’s lips, and warm blood ran down her head.
"You’ve lost this fight already, I’m sorry to say. I wish I was there to help you with your powers. It seems you were all alone, trying to figure it out... just like me. I didn’t mean to give you such a terrible fate, I didn’t want to die and leave you like that. I know I wasn’t a very good mother to you, I should have paid more attention!" She still spoke like she had no feelings, but it didn’t stop the meaning of the words from penetrating into Raziah’s heart.
A heartfelt slap threw Raziah’s face to the side, making her cough out more blood. Her sight was getting blurrier. The image of her mother was turning dark. She didn’t want that. She wanted to stay like this forever. For as long as she can hold on.
"I have so many more things to say but I won’t be able to say it as I would have killed you by then. I just want you to know...I’m sorry ..for hurting you. I just wanted you to live a normal life, not get caught up in my world. That was why I neglected you...many times. Forgive me..."
Raziah’s body shook under the coverage of dirt around her, taking Mirabai’s eyes off her body till she saw the old wristband right there around Raziah’s wrist.
The look appeared only for a split second, and Mirabai’s true emotions found their way out of that deadpan face of hers. Raziah saw a face carrying so much pain that she herself never even saw herself close to, her mother’s face was crying for help, screaming and begging.
Begging for someone to make her stop all this. She couldn’t bare for her body to keep moving and hurting her beloved child. Whenever she even tried to pat Raziah’s head, her body would only end up pulling Raziah’s hair or slapping her on the face. Was there not a way out? Her spirit alone could feel the pain.
It was unfathomable.
Just as the look appeared, it disappeared again. Raziah saw it all.
Glancing at her right, Mirabai saw one of the witch’s spear lying there on the ground. She picked it up and pulled up to her feet, staring down at the weak and powerless woman she was supposed to end. How sad it is to give your own child such a life. Give birth to her...and end her.
Mirabai raised the spear, and send it straight into Raziah’s heart...
Mirabai Zephyrus watched with a tear running down her lax face as Raziah gasped and finally closed her eyes. She fell on one knee, her palm sliding down the spear as she watched her daughter’s eyes grow warm.
She was done it. Raziah was...dead.
