Aragon was dumbfounded.
He didn’t know what to say anymore. Did his words sound like a lullaby to have made her fall asleep again? As soon as the words left his lips, her eyes had fluttered close and she was breathing softly in her slumber which had him rethinking.
It didn’t take him another second before he sniffed the faint scent of blood in the air, and his gaze immediately scanned all over her body to finally notice how badly she was pressing onto her belly. Her injury there was nowhere near healed, and it was starting to bleed again. Plus, her fingers weren’t looking too good.
"Hazel!" He called out her name, now thinking maybe she must have fainted instead from the pain she’s been carrying all this while. Knowing her doctor guest would probably still be asleep, he took it upon himself to take care of the injury and redress it. And as expected, she began fighting him off her in her subconscious state of mind.
Aragon glared at her hands that were trying to push against his chest to get him off her while he rolled her dress up, then his eyes traveled to the huge wooden box he had locked up, and usually kept somewhere under the bed.
Climbing off her, he stepped down, pulled the box from under the bed, and took out a long tight robe from inside. He then stared back at her curled ball form on the bed and crawled back beside her. Wrapping his hands around her body, he picked her up amidst the struggling once again, and brought her closer to the walls.
He softly dropped her back, holding up both wrists this time, and started tying the rope all around it. He’s even met anyone that would be so fast asleep, but could still be so conscious of what was happening around them. The most annoying part of it all was if it were that male friend of hers from Naria that tried to hold her up, she wouldn’t fight against him at all.
That’s to show how much she truly loathed him, her own husband.
For now.
But he was gonna make sure it does not last...
He crossed both legs over her chest, his knees both by her sides just above her shoulders while he finished tying her up, and secured it to the pins that had already been dug into the walls. It made it not too tight, but just enough to keep her stable and unable to keep on struggling. He did the same with her legs, securing them all in place before he began working on the injury more efficiently.
He applied all the herbs he needed, and as he did, he wondered what type of creature heals slowly when injured apart from humans. Supernatural beings, all the ones he knows have a very high healing rate. If the injury is very intense, it might just take a whole day but for minor ones like a small cut, a minute would do.
Yet she’s been injured for almost a week now, and it only felt like it was getting worse day by day. He had this feeling on the Third day she had been unconscious that her sleep was getting her to heal faster because he had been extremely worried the first two days that her temperature was only getting colder and there was no point no matter how hot they got the warm water to get.
On the third day, Her body didn’t grow as cold as it does before and he didn’t know what to think about it. Her doctor said she was slowly recovering, but her body temperature was a rare one and she wasn’t exactly sure how to handle that. Then miraculously, she had woken up on the Fourth day looking a lot better.
Maybe she was just holding back the pain all this while. She’s always been very good at pretending, and he only found out about that the afternoon she returned with the poison on her palm and he had hugged her when she had blatantly lied to him with those convincing eyes that he could easily see through.
She wasn’t an emotional type on the outside, so why try?
Aragon wrapped a new white cloth around her belly after taking care of the injury, then did the same with her broken fingers. The image of how she had broken them flashed through his mind, how she had came toe to toe and received a punch with one of her own... but he didn’t know or see when she got clawed on the belly.
After the whole thing ended, before he returned to the kingdom, he had searched through everything bit by bit till he came across over a dozen other vampires that were knocked out cold, whom weren’t even involved in the main fight... except that one of them...was dead.
As he accessed the dead body, he noticed the heavily dried blood that coated his fingers, and the scent was all too familiar. It must have happened when he dived back into the river, and he didn’t know what was going on up there anymore. He had later seen her carrying a kid in her arms who had also been slightly hurt, and there was this rage and storm building up in her hazel depths, and that was when he decided it was the perfect time to talk to her about sensitive things.
When he was done with her fingers too, he untied her once again and covered her back up with the sheets. She looked angered with her brows creased, and her lips slightly set Into a small line. The view almost had him laughing, because he knew she knew she had somehow got bounded and forced to stay still while he did what he wanted, and it was currently annoying the hell out of her... Which was another deep realization that he could read her very much right now.
Shaking his head in amusement, he placed a kiss on her throat and left to take his bath.

Princess Gwenore was just done packing in. They spent the whole morning bringing in everywhere she would need for her new home here at Erandell, and she even had a room just beside his Majesty’s, even though she’s been told he hardly goes in there and usually spends the night somewhere else. She was still ecstatic about everything, and it just felt so surreal.
Yesterday afternoon, she never imagined something like this would be happening to her and here she was right now, as the king’s second wife...and maybe, His next Queen.
What she didn’t agree with so much was how it all came to be. She wouldn’t listen to what others had to say, but she wanted to know the exact reason why a woman would really, really wish to share her husband with another and even announce it in front of a large crowd. What happened yesterday would forever be imprinted in so many people’s memories. She just hoped it wouldn’t leave or stir up something terrible in the upcoming future.
Princess Gwenore had thought about it all night, especially the way she had seen them dance like they were just made for each other. Aragon hadn’t danced with her anything close to that, but she was glad he had at least asked her for a dance and finally shut up those annoying Princesses that wouldn’t stop chattering bad things about her. Gwenore knew what she was stepping into, and she wasn’t entirely sure if she can easily get out again.
This was a dream come true, but reality would soon rub its dirty secrets all over her face. There’s no doubt that she’s very much jealous that she’s not his only life, and it feels like he’s only staring at his first wife all the time, but her duty of being next to him isn’t just to shower him with affection.
There were so many others things she could do to pull his attention toward her too, and in a way, she was grateful to Raziah because no one else would have been able to easily convince Aragon to take her as his second wife.
"As I said before, both of you will be staying with me." The princess said to her maids, who nodded in agreement.
Eri and Alma had been her personal maids for many years now.
Eri was about to say something when a light knock came on the door, soon followed by the door opening. Princess Gwenore flew up from her seat when she sighted Aragon, and she was quickly taking in fast deep breaths to calm herself down while her maids quickly excused themselves.
"Your Majesty!" She greeted in courtesy as she should.
And what the hell happened to him overnight? She’s heard the rumors years ago about another side that was to him. A darker, purgatory fire falls over him, and makes him Into a merciless animalistic being that has no heart for another. The rumors say it started ten years ago, and it’s been a permanent part of him.
And yesterday, she’s seen him in that body during the party...and it was far more overwhelming than the rumors described it to be.
His eyes were dark. Pitch-black, with a fire that looked like it would blaze everlastingly. Every look felt like her body was being set on fire, and the dance she had shared with him had been extremely hard yet fulfilling at the same time. It had her and everyone present thinking he would stay like that for a very, very long time yet when he had returned last night from wherever they went to, when she saw him and Raziah walking in through the pillar, her jaw dropped at the sight that greeted her.
His aura...had settled greatly and he was back to his former, Normal self like nothing was wrong with him just a few minutes ago. She’s never been so shocked in her life.
"Gwen," He stepped closer to her, and she bit the insides of her lips.
