Raziah was violently shaking. Felt like an electrifying shock was traveling through her body on the outside, and the hazel irises would disappear completely during that moment. This was the first time something like this was happening to her, and she didn’t even know where she was anymore... Till images started playing inside her head.
It wasn’t too clear, but she could make out a few people standing there. There was tension in the air, and a few men were arguing. Their faces weren’t so clear, but it looks like they were in a cave or something. Suddenly, the voices started getting louder in her ears.
"We don’t want him alive. Who knows what he would do next!"
"We don’t have time for chitchat..." A familiar voice replied, and Raziah turned to her right to see Felix standing there.
A strange light flashed past her eyes and she could now hear snarls and growls all around her. It seems like they couldn’t see her or else someone would have seen her by now. There was blood trickling on the floor as she tried to move forward, but her legs weren’t cooperating with her. Everything was happening so fast, then another blinding light passed by her so fast it looked like time had passed again... And now she could see something like smoke making its way past the battle, gliding through the air as coverage.
She looked forward to see where the smoke was going, and right there bounded to the walls, hanging from chains tied around his hands was the little boy everyone was worried about. Raziah’s eyes widened and she once again forced herself to move, but it was like an invisible force was keeping her there.
The next blinding light highlighted another scene that had her screaming. The spear came out of nowhere, flying across the room, and headed straight for Caius who was bleeding in the head and crying his eyes out. Just as it was about to hit Caius, everything went black, utterly dark with not even a ray or atom of light coming from anywhere... But Raziah was sure of one thing.
Something...had sprayed all over her face the second it went dark, and fear engulfed her. Her heart drummed against her ribcage, and she felt like she couldn’t breathe anymore. She was suffocating in the darkness due to the fear of what she had just witnessed, and the obvious scent of blood rolling down her eyes was just enough to almost drive her insane.
Suddenly, It felt like a new breath of fresh air had been pumped into her lungs and her eyes flew wide open. She was still trembling, but not as much as before and it seems like her eye color was back again. The first person she saw was her husband staring down at her. There was something like panic in his eyes, but she didn’t want to believe this man could ever be worried about anything and so she choose to ignore it.
"Hey," he was tapping her face fervently, "Are you...?" He even sounded more out of breath than she was, but Raziah couldn’t care less about him right now.
She jumped out of bed, ignoring his calls, and was immediately putting on her clothes. No way Caius was gonna die today. Definitely not when there was still a chance that he was still alive. Whatever that was, whether it was a vision or something, those leap-in moments that came with the blinding lights felt like it was trying to tell her that those events hadn’t occurred yet.
"Where are you going?" He asked, but she was too busy to even spare him a glance. She had put on the first set of dress her hands could reach, and just turned around when she saw him standing right in front of her. What was wrong with him? Why does he look so pale and panicked? It was creeping her out. It didn’t make sense on someone like him, so he better stop and goes back to his old ways.
"My sword is in Fabia’s chambers. I have to go now!" She deadpanned, just about to walk away when he grabbed her hand and whirled her back. Raziah’s figure came crashing against his naked chest. She was struggling against him again, but he wasn’t letting her go this time.
"Tell me what happened! What is it, Raziah!!" He deadpanned too, staring her deep in the eye.
"I’m about to go and find out, now let me go! I have not a single second to waste here!!" She managed to muster enough strength and pulled herself out of his hold, and took off running for the door. As luck would have it, he didn’t come after her again and there was Aletta standing in front of Fabia’s door, looking as small and terrified as ever.
"Your highness...!"
Aletta stumbled back when Raziah simply zoomed past her and flung herself into the door, bursting the door open. Her eyes scanned the entire place till she found that particular safe corner where she had hidden it the morning she returned here with Caius after the last fight. Grabbing it, she zoomed past Aletta again who was trying to say something.
"Is anything the mat...?" Aletta was asking, but the princess was already gone. In a way, she felt dejected for being ignored again and let out a tired and depressing sigh. But just before she could close the door to the room, she heard fast footsteps approaching her again and there was Raziah running over, halting to a stop in front of Aletta whom was about to stumble back again because she panicked and thought the princess was gonna make a turn into the room.
"What about Caius? Are they back?" She inquired, breathing hard and fast.
"I just left the women. He’s not back." She shook her head in dismay and heard Raziah mutter some incoherent words under her breath before she turned around and ran off again. As Aletta watched her this time, she noticed her dressing was just so wrong. The colors didn’t match, and a noble gown worn with war trousers didn’t seem right. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
If she was planning to rejoin the party that was probably gonna go on for the rest of the night, she should have chosen a more... Appropriate look, but why would she pick up a sword? Is she going to fight...
And then, Aletta realized what she was probably going to do and immediately slammed the door shut and ran after her.
This time, Raziah sneaked into the gathering because she didn’t want anyone to know what she was about to do, or else they would hold her back. She kept looking back and forth as she walked with her back perched upon the walls, approaching that particular pillar. The party was still going on, and no one had glanced her way yet.
Just then, she sighted Aletta walking into the room her eyes scanning around the whole room. The second they locked gazes, Aletta shook her head desperately at the princess. There was fear in her eyes as she tried to warn Raziah not to do it, but the stubborn princess was already so close to the pillar that if she reached out her hand, she would be able to touch it.
"No! Don’t do it!" Aletta mouthed fervently, hoping her words would get to the Princess.
Princess Raziah could only shake her head back at Aletta with a calm look in her eyes. That vision was badly affecting, and the image of that spear hurled toward Caius was still so vivid in her head. She would have said she was dreaming, but she couldn’t have possibly fallen asleep when her husband was just getting things started between them. All she remembered was him about to push himself into her, then the rollercoaster of electrifying chills hit her hard. If there was any chance that she could stop her vision from coming true- if it hasn’t already, then she would grab hold of this opportunity.
Caius was too young for all this. She saw herself in him, and she can never let a traumatic experience snatch away the blinding brightness that dripped from every corner of his eyes, just like what happened to a certain someone she was very familiar with.
"Forgive me." Raziah mouthed back in reply. She’s been nothing but trouble to everyone since she came here, and unfortunate things just kept occurring that makes her keep going out of line. Sometimes, it could be a burst of emotions but most of the time it was a turn of events.
Aletta was already finding her way toward the Princess as fast as her tiny legs could carry her. She couldn’t jump into a run because she was afraid of drawing attention to the both of them, which had her acting as civilized as she could, "Please, your highness...!" Aletta tried again, biting her lips.
"I’ll be back soon," Raziah said to her, then she walked into whatever was waiting on the other side. Well, she didn’t exactly walk inside. More like she suddenly found herself floating, and it took about a second to realize that she wasn’t floating, she was falling into the darkness that lay below. Her arms were flaring, and her mind had turned chaotic.
