Chapter 191: The Villian in her story

The News about the fallen kingdom spread like wildfire, and so did the news about the death of the King of Erandell.

Maria whom had visited a nearby kingdom a few days before the incident had rushed back to Kaneria after hearing the news, only to see the disaster that had befallen everyone. As she walked through the ashes and dead bodies, her heart tore apart. She was only ten and had slipped away from the people she had visited the other kingdom with.

Her small legs carried her around, and she hoped that someone had made it out alive. Every step took everything she had, but nothing could compare to the harsh reality and agony that struck her when she came across a familiar arm.

It was an arm that had been torn off the shoulders, and the rest of the body was covered in blood and was in pieces.

But Maria recognized that arm. The same arm she had held unto all her life.

Savannah, Her Older sister’s arm.

Maria’s eyes trembled at the sight, her mouth fell open and she’s never screamed so loud in her entire life.

.

.

Raziah and Malcolm arrived and were taken in by King Octavius of Naria, an old friend of Raziah’s father with Malcolm swearing to protect Naria as his own if Octavius took Raziah as his own daughter, and sheltered them.

That same day, Raziah fell into a deep sleep. In her subconscious, she would find herself sitting in a field of snow that had no beginning and end. The place was always hazy and there was no sign of the sun rising or falling.

For the whole year she spent sleeping in deep cold, being looked after by Malcolm and Miss Ophelia, she trained herself in that field to become stronger. It became like her second home, and she went through the harshest of training in that state of mind.

Her mind wielded swords, shot arrows, and improved her strength and stamina. At some point, she forgot about the real world and adapted to this environment.

Maybe it was the healer in her, or the new power that had chosen to go into her body, but this world had endless possibilities of her pushing herself beyond the limit. She found everything she needed to get stronger there, and she was moving day and night...even when there was a storm.

Raziah did not stop.

Weakness disgusted her. She wouldn’t be able to do anything if she remained weak.

She would not be able to avenge her kingdom...and.her mother of she remained like this.

When she finally woke up, Raziah was completely disoriented about all that had happened to her. Her mental health was at stake, and she was suffering from slight amnesia. When Malcolm and a few doctors attended to her, Malcolm deduced that the part about knowing that Supernatural and fictional creatures existed in this world had been erased from her memory.

Somehow...that part of the story wasn’t there for her anymore even though Raziah knew something was off. Maybe it was because that was the source of her headache and torture.

If they didn’t exist, Kaneria would still be standing and she would still bathe in the warmth of her smiling mother.

But even though she had suffered amnesia, she was still filled with hate. She was still angry. And she still wanted revenge.

Whatever had brought Kaneria down...she would exterminate it from this world, as she could still remember her deal with a certain someone.

.

.

Aragon ascended the throne and became the strong ruler of the kingdom. He was unchallenged and undisputed by anyone, and Zoan left the kingdom knowing he had nothing left there.

Many years passed and he gathered strong allies to help him rule Kaneria and strike down the enemy while keeping an eye on Zoan’s adventures to make sure his brother was safe.

On the night Princess Diane and Princess Raziah were to be introduced and married off was the first time Raziah was going to step out of the Grand castle.

Evander had then spread the rumor secretly that a special and powerful presence was going to be present there, and knowing the supernatural community, everyone would want to seize it.

And Raziah, being seen a human but had an unnatural air about her had been the only thing that seemed off in the gathering. The cold she emitted was too strange to be ignored.

Aragon had gotten to her first, marrying her off. He had been unaware of who she was...all he saw was a strange woman whom was trying to figure herself out, similar to him. He wanted to study her... but had eventually fallen for her. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Evander did not plan for the part where they fell in love, but he was glad Aragon had been the one who snatched her up. Now, Raziah was closer than ever to the King of Hell.

All he had to hope now was that Raziah does not grow weak in his arms, and forget about their deal. That she does not falter and change her mind. Evander has been holding on to the hope that her thirst and longing for revenge would be greater than any feeling, that the memories of that night would be enough for her to throw away all unwanted feelings and focus on her goals.

That was where he had placed all his cards.

It had all been on Raziah’s shoulders, and she had upheld her promise. Revenge would remain her top priority for as long as she lived, even if it would end up killing her. She’s never cared about her well-being after all.

She was the cold and heartless awakened Healer out for revenge, and there was only one thing standing in her way.

Aragon Odysseus of Erandell. The man she once loved.

The monster that had taken everything away from her. He and the supernatural world were the Villains in her story.

The popular quote made sense to her now: REVENGE is a dish best served COLD!
