☆, Chapter 10 Needlework

☆, Chapter 10 Needlework

Lin Yunchu put away his phone and rummaged through his schoolbag.

Her expression remained unchanged. She didn't look at Jiang Qiyu or speak.

Turned around and went upstairs.

Jiang Qiyu took the pendant out of his pocket and asked Liu Zihao.

"It's important to her, isn't it?"

The pendant was dirty and a little torn. Liu Zihao understood why Lin Yunchu was acting abnormally today.

Liu Zihao pursed his lips. "It was a gift from her father. She passed away five years ago."

Jiang Qiyu nodded to show that he understood. He took back the pendant, took out his mobile phone and sent a message to Lin Yunchu.

Lin Yunchu was playing a game. When she saw the message coming in, she clicked it to take a look.

School Bully: [I'll give you the pendant tomorrow.]

She didn't reply, turned off her phone and lay on the bed.

She dreamed again, dreaming about the day when her father gave her a gift.

"Chujiu, how about giving you this cat ornament and doll as a birthday present?"

"Okay! Thank you, Dad!"

"We are already eight years old on Chujiu. When you turn twelve, daddy will give you a real cat, okay?"

Unfortunately, he broke his promise. On her twelfth birthday, she didn't wait for the cat or her father.

"fraud!"

Lin Yunchu muttered and wiped her eyes. She still had to go home and deal with her mother today.

Jiang Qiyu returned to the Jiang family and smiled when he saw the Bentley at the door.

He hadn't been back for a month, and when he came back he saw people he didn't want to see.

Jiang's father was sitting on the sofa reading documents. When he saw Jiang Qiyu come in, he put down the documents and stood up.

"Xiao Qi is back! Have you eaten yet?"

Jiang Qiyu glanced at him indifferently.

"Not hungry."

He was rummaging through the cabinets in the living room. Seeing this, Jiang's father asked him, "What are you looking for?"

"Needle and thread."

Father Jiang walked upstairs and said, "Wait here for me. I'll get it for you."

After a while, he came down with a bag and handed it to Jiang Qiyu.

"What do you need sewing? I'll help you."

"Need not."

Jiang Qiyu found the white thread and held the needle but didn't know how to start.

Father Jiang looked at the cat pendant and thought it looked like something that belonged to a girl, so he asked tentatively.

"How about I teach you? You know I'm pretty good at sewing."

He was afraid that his son would reject him, and he was very nervous. The relationship between the two had been like this in the past few years, and saying one more word felt like a luxury.

Jiang Qiyu looked at the pendant with the broken string and hesitated for a moment. Thinking of the unhappy look on the child's face, he nodded.

"You teach."

Jiang Nanqing's joy was beyond words. She picked up her needle and thread and sat opposite Jiang Qiyu.

Seeing that he didn't give up sewing the pendant even after pricking his fingers several times, Jiang Nanqing became curious about the owner of the pendant.

Who on earth could possibly cause his son so much trouble?

Although the stitching is not that beautiful, it is complete after all.

Jiang Qiyu put away his needlework and said to Jiang Nanqing, "Thank you."

Jiang Nanqing rubbed his hands and said tentatively: "Xiao Qi, can we talk about your mother..."

“That’s enough!”

Jiang Qiyu stood up and walked upstairs. Seeing this, Jiang Nanqing lowered his head and dared not say anything.

Jiang Qiyu returned to the room and leaned against the door, then walked into the bathroom after a while.

He squeezed some laundry detergent and gently rubbed the black and white cat pendant.

Only after it was clean did he smile with satisfaction.

Before going to sleep, he lay in bed, thinking about the scene today where the child suppressed Li Qianqian.

Quite fierce.

Although it looks small, it is quite strong.

Lin Yunchu didn't sleep well that night. She dreamed of her mother's hysterical look on the day her father had a car accident.

When she arrived at the classroom, she saw Jiang Zhi wiping the blood from her nose. She hurried over.

"Zhizhi, are you getting angry?"

Jiang Zhi paused, "Yeah, I've been staying up late lately."

Lin Yunchu pulled her up and said, "Let's go to the bathroom and take a shower with cold water."

Jiang Zhi pulled her back and said, "It's okay. This happens to me when I stay up late. It will be fine in a while."

When Lin Yunchu saw that she was bleeding so much from the nose, he decided to give her a good nourishment at noon.

Squad leader Song Wenjie came over with something and put it on Lin Yunchu's desk.

"Student Lin, these are my notes. You might not be able to keep up with the progress since you just arrived. Please take a look at my notes first."

Lin Yunchu picked up the three notebooks on the table and returned them to him. "Thank you, monitor, but no thanks."

Seeing her serious look, Song Wenjie took back the notebook and said, "Then tell me when you need it."

"OK."

Jiang Qiyu stood at the door and watched all this. He stared at Song Wenjie for a few seconds. It was not just giving him notes, it was obvious that he had other intentions.

He walked over and stood in front of Lin Yunchu.

"Lin Chujiu, extend your hand."

Lin Yunchu stretched out his hand and looked at him puzzledly.

Her palm felt heavy, and she looked down. It was a complete and clean cat pendant.

She narrowed her eyes, looked up and smiled at Jiang Qiyu.

"Brother Yu, you are awesome!"

This was the first time Jiang Qiyu saw her smile so happily, with light in her eyes.

He rubbed his pricked finger and cursed inwardly.

Hold!

Why are you smiling so beautifully!

The mental preparation I had just made last night collapsed in an instant.

What's wrong with being young? You'll grow up eventually.

The second time he saw her in the Internet cafe, he knew she was different.

It was so different that he wanted to see her smile.

He sat back in his seat and raised his chin towards Lin Yunchu.

“Just be happy!”

Song Wenjie glanced between the two of them a few times, then returned to his seat with his notebook.

He put the notes at the bottom of the desk.

Just like some budding feelings, they should be buried deep in the heart.

Lin Yunchu had been limping for a few days, and his leg was finally healed, but there was no difference, except for the speed of his walking.

On the last day of September, the school announced the news of monthly exams after the holiday at noon.

Lin Yunchu returned home carrying his schoolbag.

Bai Yulan is not at home again. She has been going out more and more frequently recently.

She sat on the sofa and opened the WeChat message that kept ringing.

Zhou Jingyan created a group, [Brother Yu’s Birthday Group]

Lin Yunchu clicked in. She only knew Jiang Zhi and Zhou Jingyan there.

According to Zhou Jingyan, Jiang Zhi sat quietly in front of them every day, and Yu Ge even borrowed pens from others a few times. They were like a family.

Zhou Jingyan: [It’s Brother Yu’s birthday on the 1st, everyone, come out and have fun?]

Everyone below replied that it was no problem.

Lin Yunchu followed the formation and replied, then turned off his phone and went into the bathroom.

She threw her school uniform into the washing machine and looked in the mirror while leaning against the sink.

The girl in the mirror had red eyes. Lin Yunchu washed her face and rinsed away the tears.

Bai Yulan came back very late. Lin Yunchu heard her talking outside, but she didn't want to care and covered herself with the quilt to go to sleep.

On the 1st, Lin Yunchu was awakened by the ringing of his cell phone.

She picked up the phone in a daze.

"Hello?"

"Chujiu, where are you? I'm almost there."

Jiang Zhi's voice woke Lin Yunchu up. She looked at the time. It was 8:50, and she and Jiang Zhi had agreed to meet at 9 o'clock.

She got up, picked up her phone and said, "There's a little traffic, we'll be there soon!"
