Chapter 11 My wife fed me...

The two families share the kitchen, and it was agreed that the first family to use it would have half an hour.

Jiang Ning and the others only lasted a dozen minutes before they were urged to hurry up, which made Wang Xiufen feel uncomfortable.

“Mom, it’s not time yet,” she replied casually, taking her first step in rebellion.

Lin Zhou's pupils dilated as she looked at her with disbelief.

"You dare talk back to me? I've never seen such an unfilial daughter-in-law!"

The black claws reached into the basin again, trying to pry off a clump of dough to make itself a pancake.

Wang Xiufen covered the enamel basin with her body, on high alert.

"Is it yours? Take it!"

Lin Zhou was furious and clutched her chest, crying out in pain.

Yu Xiaofeng hurriedly came out of the house and patted her back to comfort her:

"Mom, let's not argue with them. They eat wheat flour, so let's take out our dried noodles and cook some noodles too."

She felt her chest hurt even more. The noodles were leftovers from her last birthday celebration, which she had hidden away. There was barely enough for her to eat. How did her eldest daughter-in-law find out and even start eyeing them?

"What are you talking about? We've been having mixed grain porridge for breakfast." Lin Zhoushi said angrily.

After a while, Jiang Ning had finished making all the chive pancakes and carried them back to her home.

Lin Zhou was overjoyed, thinking that there was still a lot of oil left in the pot, so she could add rice and water to cook it and taste the oily aroma. But when she lifted the lid, she found that the inside was dark and shiny, having been scrubbed clean with wood ash.

Upon hearing Lin Zhoushi's roar, Jiang Ning gave Wang Xiufen a thumbs up.

My mother-in-law finally got the hang of it and started to get serious. After making the pancakes, she dug out a pile of wood ash from the stove and threw it into the pot, then scrubbed it thoroughly.

After distributing vegetable pancakes to everyone, Jiang Ning took one and walked outside.

After putting the pork inside, Lin Chen realized there weren't enough vegetable pancakes, so he went outside to move bricks.

Thinking about how good and capable my wife is, I felt a surge of sweetness in my heart.

Suddenly, a fragrant aroma wafted into his nose, and a glistening, oily chive pancake was placed into his mouth.

"Let me feed you!" Jiang Ning smiled sweetly.

Her husband was wearing a vest that revealed his bulging muscles, which were covered in fine sweat, making him look even sexier.

Just as she made no attempt to hide her fondness for his body, Lin Chen also swallowed hard.

Perhaps by accident, the top button of Jiang Ning's shirt suddenly came undone. Unexpectedly, when he looked down, he saw a cleavage, white and fluffy, like a big white rabbit, and he really wanted to pinch it.

"Button up your clothes quickly," he commanded in a low, hoarse voice.

Jiang Ning suppressed a laugh and stuffed the pancake into his mouth.

"I'll keep my hands occupied until you finish eating, then I'll pick them up."

This is just a little playful thing between husband and wife, silly.

She had deliberately unbuttoned the buttons earlier.

Sure enough, I saw desire in his eyes, his ears turned red, and his body reacted.

Lin Chen ate this meal slowly and deliberately, completely unlike his usual wolfing down of food.

After finishing their pancakes, Luo Guangming and the others, still feeling refreshed and full of energy, stacked all the mud bricks before heading to work in the fields.

Lin Chen had taken a few days off for his wedding, but it was time for him to go back to work today, so he followed suit.

The golden rice paddies have all been harvested, and several old oxen have begun to plow the fields.

Some members were pulling up rice seedlings in the paddy field. Some people put bunches of seedlings into bamboo baskets, carried them to the plowed field, and then threw them out.

The villagers in the field picked up the rice seedlings and quickly planted them while backing away.

This is a typical scene of farming in the South.

Everyone worked together, and transplanting rice seedlings was the most time-consuming part because it was crucial to seize the season. Each person was required to transplant six-tenths of an acre of rice per day.

For most members, this is not a difficult task.

For the educated youth, however, it was a huge test.

After working under the scorching sun for half a day, Ma Huijuan was almost exhausted and kept wiping the sweat from her face with her sleeve.

Despite wearing a straw hat, my face was already sunburned and red, and the sweat that I couldn't wipe away stung.

She looked up to rest her back, then glanced around and saw Lin Chen working hard, but Jiang Ning was nowhere to be seen.

In the past, no matter how lazy she was, she always had to go to work.

I never expected that I would become so lazy right after getting married.

The purpose of being sent to the countryside was to transform the vast rural areas. One had to cultivate a red heart and develop calluses on one's hands to be considered a good young person. Someone like her was simply a parasite on society!

"What are you daydreaming about, Ma Huijuan? If you don't finish your work this morning, you won't get lunch."

Yang Lili saw that she was lagging far behind and was slacking off, so she yelled at her.

If you reveal her secret about reading world classics, she won't give you a good look!

The educated youth were a team; if someone did less work, others had to do more.

Jiang Ning used to be lazy, but she was generous and always used her own money to improve everyone's meals, so no one had any complaints.

Ma Huijuan has no money and often falls behind on her food expenses, so how dare she slack off!

At this moment, Jiang Ning was walking along the ridge of the field carrying an earthenware pot.

When working together, the team would sometimes send someone to bring tea. Today, everyone was busy planting rice, and even Lin Fugui and Gao Qiang, who don't usually go to the fields, were there. So everyone had to rely on the water they brought to quench their thirst.

Ma Huijuan was parched when she saw Jiang Ning coming over, and assumed he was bringing her water.

She thought to herself, if Jiang Ning gives me a way out, then I'll forgive her!

"Ningning, thank you for bringing me water!" Jiang Ning said with a smile as she passed by.

To everyone's surprise, Jiang Ning completely ignored her, walked past her without even glancing at her, and went to Lin Chen's side.

"Ah Chen, let me feed you water." Her voice was sweet and soft, making everyone who heard it feel weak in the knees.

Lin Chen's eyes sparkled as he turned his head, waiting for her to feed him.

My wife is so good; she feeds him biscuits, gives him water, and so on...

A completely white mass suddenly appeared in his mind...

After drinking a bowl of water, I felt refreshed and thirst-quenched, and my whole body felt full of energy.

Zhao Ergou happened to be nearby. Hearing that there was water to drink, he ran over excitedly and asked for a bowl.

"It's just a little water, not even a drop of tea leaves, how good could it be!"

Ma Huijuan scoffed.

Zhao Ergou, however, relaxed and deliberately asked loudly:

"Sister-in-law, what kind of water is this? It tastes so good!"

Jiang Ning thought to herself, "Zhao Ergou, I'll let you off easy since you helped build the kitchen. Drink a few more times, and the red bumps on your face will gradually get better. Maybe you'll even be able to find a wife."

She poured another bowl for Zhao Ergou, but gave most of it to Lin Chen, refusing to give any to anyone else who asked.

Seeing the earthenware pot nearly empty, Ma Huijuan gritted her teeth in anger and deliberately shouted:

"How shameless! Flirting in broad daylight!"

As she spoke, she rolled her eyes at them.

Before she could turn her head back, a rice seedling hit her squarely in the face.

Ma Huijuan flailed her arms in the air, completely on the verge of collapse. Her eyes, nose, and mouth were covered by muddy rice seedling roots, making it impossible for her to make a sound!

Only after the rice seedlings fell did she let out a pig-like scream!

"Zhao Ergou, you did this on purpose!"
