Gao Baoliang was taken aback, surprised that she could say his name, but when he thought of his name on the application form, he immediately felt relieved.
"What's the problem?"
He asked politely.
Yang Lu patiently explained, "Registering a branch company also requires a local office location, whether it's self-built or leased. Can you provide an address? I need to verify it."
Gao Baoliang's expression changed slightly:
“Our office building is under construction and will take at least three or four months to complete.”
Yang Lu shrugged: "In that case, the registration time will probably have to be postponed."
At this moment, Luo Guangming came over and inquired about the progress. After learning about the situation, he smiled and asked if there were any other solutions.
Yang Luxing's eyes flickered, and she smiled faintly:
"Why don't you go somewhere else? A rented place is fine too."
As a staff member, she didn't need to say so much, but seeing Gao Baoliang frown, she offered her advice.
Luo Guangming quickly thanked him and left with Gao Baoliang.
I told Yang Lu that once we find the place, I'll ask her to verify it.
When Gao Baoliang got on his motorcycle, he patted Luo Guangming on the back.
"Guangming, you're so experienced. Why didn't I think to ask her for a solution?"
Luo Guangming was stunned:
"No way, I thought you two were having a good chat, so I assumed you knew each other before, which is why I had the nerve to ask."
Gao Baoliang was stunned. Did they become acquainted?
It's just a business matter, I guess.
After the two returned, they discussed the office address with Lin Chen. Lin Chen paused for two seconds before speaking.
"That's easy. Let's borrow Ningning's house for a while. The place she bought is spacious, and it's two stories, so it shouldn't be a problem."
Both of them were overjoyed, never expecting that the problem that had been troubling them for so long would be resolved so quickly.
Jiang Ning was truly prescient; she bought the office space well in advance.
In the evening, because they had to work overtime, they didn't plan to go home for dinner. After calling home, they went to a food street near the construction site to eat.
We randomly picked a small restaurant and sat at an outdoor table, where each person ordered a bowl of noodles.
A group of people dressed in construction site clothes ate and chatted, blending into the noisy environment around them.
Among the many voices, Gao Baoliang spotted one that was sweet yet slightly aloof.
"This place has really good stir-fried sweet potato noodles, would you like some?"
Gao Baoliang looked up and saw Yang Lu looking at a man sitting opposite her in the small shop next door, and asked him a question.
The man had his back to the door, was broad-shouldered and burly, with one elbow propped on the table and his legs crossed, his posture casual and relaxed, completely different from the man she had met on a blind date before.
Is she going on another blind date?
Or have they already established a relationship? Otherwise, she wouldn't be so calm.
"What's that? I never eat it. How about braised pork?"
He ordered several expensive meat dishes, and then began to talk at length about how he always splurges when eating out...
After talking about food, he started talking about how he graduated from a prestigious university and how various organizations were scrambling to hire him after graduation, eventually ending up at the Urban Construction Bureau.
He believed that in a few years, the position of bureau chief would be his for the taking.
Yang Lu focused on eating her noodles, occasionally smiling and nodding.
The man rummaged through the braised pork with his chopsticks and called the waiter over.
"How could you cook like this? There are still hairs on it! How am I supposed to eat this?!"
As he spoke, he threw down his chopsticks, stood up, and said to Yang Lu:
"This restaurant isn't good, let's go somewhere else to eat."
Yang Lu continued to smile at him and eat her noodles.
Enraged, the man kicked the chair and then uttered a harsh threat:
"I don't know which man would like a woman as unromantic as you."
After saying that, he left gracefully.
Yang Lu didn't even lift her eyelids. When the waiter asked what to do with the braised pork, she said calmly:
"I'll pay."
After finishing her meal, she paid the bill with a satisfied look on her face and walked out of the restaurant.
Gao Baoliang quickly lowered his head to avoid her gaze.
Yang Lu didn't seem to see him. She walked in another direction, saw the sunset on the horizon, and took out her camera from her bag to take pictures seriously.
Unlike her previous quiet demeanor, she looked youthful and radiant in the photos, dressed in a white T-shirt and jeans.
"What are you looking at?" Lin Chen noticed his unusual behavior and waved the object in front of his eyes.
Gao Baoliang snapped out of his daze: "It's nothing."
Luo Guangming paid the bill:
"Let's go back and work overtime."
Fuqiang Construction gradually grew and prospered under his leadership, and he knew how complicated the preliminary work was.
Gao Baoliang and Lin Chen were very cooperative and followed his instructions.
They stayed at the construction site for another two hours, and as it got dark, they finally got on their motorcycles and went home.
As Gao Baoliang passed a secluded corner by the lake, he spotted two thugs forcing a girl into a grove of trees.
The girl had delicate features, a ponytail, and a white T-shirt and jeans that accentuated her beautiful figure. Who else could it be but Yang Lu?
As the thugs slowly approached, she waved the camera in her hand threateningly:
“Don’t come any closer. I’ve already taken pictures of you. If you dare to do anything to me, the police will find you.”
The thug let out a lewd laugh:
"What a silly beauty, do you really think we'd let your camera come out unscathed?"
Gao Baoliang patted Luo Guangming on the back, signaling that he was going down to rescue the person.
Luo Guangming recognized him now and laughed:
"Alright, it's time for you to be a hero and save the damsel in distress."
Afterwards, he and Lin Chen each leaned against a motorcycle, leisurely watching the show.
