Chapter 308 Investigation

The day Xu Yan went to the hospital to see Ross, Jiang Ning had just finished some design work and wanted to show it to him, so she decided to go with her.

Jiang Ning even specially asked Xu Yan to buy fresh flowers from the flower nursery in advance.

"Foreigners love romance and these flashy, impractical things," Jiang Ning joked as they walked.

"Sister Yan, when can I attend your wedding banquet with Minister Yu?"

The streets they walked on were bustling with people, and they frequently passed by others.

Xu Yan looked ahead with a faint smile on her face: "It's not certain yet."

She genuinely didn't know and didn't have a big argument with Yu Xiao, but the two hadn't seen each other for a long time. They exchanged a few phone calls, saying things they cared about, but their hearts felt like they were worlds apart.

She knew there was a problem between them, but she felt powerless to fix it, so she poured all her energy into her work.

Even so, she still made a mistake.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Xu Yan handed Ross a bouquet of bright red roses.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Ross, this time you were injured because of my negligence."

She has been blaming herself so much that she hasn't slept well for several days.

Ross moved his bandaged leg. "You don't need to blame yourself. It could have been avoided. I was a bit reckless myself."

It can only be said that he was unlucky.

Jiang Ning placed a fruit basket on the bedside table and said with a smile, "The police have submitted the information of Wang Shengli and his gang to the court, and I believe the trial results will be released soon."

Wang Meizhu, who had been taking care of Ross at the hospital, saw them sit down to talk and took a few apples from the fruit basket to wash at the sink outside.

"By the way, these are the design drafts from our company. Take a look and see if there are any problems. Once you've recovered, we'll be visiting other factories, so you can take them with you." Jiang Ning took out a stack of drawings from her bag and showed them to Ross.

Ross leaned against the headboard, his expression suddenly turning serious.

When he's working, he's completely absorbed in his work, which makes him appear rather rigid and serious.

One by one, the drawings were removed and pressed to the bottom.

After he finished reading, he looked at Jiang Ning, his eyes sparkling.

“They are all very good, they look gorgeous and have a royal feel. I feel that these products will be popular in my country and in Europe when they are launched.”

Jiang Ning thought to herself, "Of course not. It's not popular. She won't draw it, and she won't even have a chance to see it."

Ross returned the blueprints to her. "I'll be discharged in a couple of days, then we can arrange to go scouting again. Do you have a target in mind?"

Xu Yan listened and reported to him: "There are several in Jinshi. I carefully selected them. There will be no mistakes."

At this moment, Wang Meizhu returned with washed apples and gave one to each of them.

Jiang Ning didn't answer. "Meizhu, you stay and take care of Mr. Ross. Go back to work after he's discharged from the hospital."

She got up to say goodbye.

Xu Yan placed the apple she had received on the table and said goodbye to them.

After they came out, the two walked side by side, and the conversation turned to Wang Meizhu.

"Don't you think Ross and Meizhu look quite well-matched standing together?" Jiang Ning asked first.

Xu Yan, considering the difference in their nationalities, was not optimistic:

"The difference is quite big. I've heard that foreign men are all very promiscuous."

Jiang Ning laughed: "Actually, people are pretty much the same everywhere. Some are fickle, some are devoted. The key is to feel with your heart."

Xu Yan nodded, no longer offering her opinion on the topic, and decided to meet with Yu Xiao after get off work.

In the following days, whenever Jiang Ning had time, she would go to the driving school to learn to drive.

At that time, there were no private driving schools. If you wanted to learn to drive, you could only go to a state-run driving school. Moreover, while learning to drive, you also had to learn how to repair cars. It took two or three years to get a proper driver's license.

Jiang Ning already knew how to drive; she didn't need to learn. She just had someone register her name at the driving school.

She had gone to driving lessons a few times, so Lin Chen and the others didn't find it strange that she could drive.

A few days later, she and Ross made an appointment to go to Jinshi.

Xu Yan and Wang Meizhu accompanied them this time.

Ross originally intended for the driver to drive, but Jiang Ning wanted to drive her own car, so she volunteered to drive herself.

After driving the car out of the warehouse, Luo Guangming got out of the car.

Jiang Ning went up and carefully observed the control panel.

Soon, under Lin Chen's worried gaze, she drove the car onto the road outside.

Lin Chen chased after her and arrived at her car.

"Honey, you're pretty good. You've only been learning for a short time and you can drive like this."

He also studied under Luo Guangming for a while, and his skill level was about the same as Jiang Ning's.

"Then I'm leaving. I might need to stay overnight this time, so don't wait around like an idiot. I'll call you when I have a chance. It's okay if you don't answer the phone; it's probably because the place is a bit remote."

Jiang Ning stretched one hand out of the window and waved to him.

Lin Chen, standing to the side, waved to her, "Quickly hold the steering wheel steady."

Jiang Ning drove to the company, where several people were already waiting for her.

Each person was carrying a small bag, clearly prepared to spend the night away from home.

Jiang Ning drove the car out and only then realized how troublesome driving was in this day and age.

Once you leave the city, the roads become bumpy and potholed, and there are few signs along the way. You have to rely on a map to find your way, and often you still can't find the road.

She would get out of the car every now and then to ask for directions.

Fortunately, traveling together as a group, we chatted about all sorts of things, making it anything but boring.

Five hours later, they finally found the first porcelain factory they were looking for.

This porcelain factory used to specialize in producing bowls, plates, and floor tiles.

The boss was a tall, thin man in his fifties named Fan Zhengqi.

Looking at his face and name, Jiang Ning inexplicably felt a sense of goodwill towards him.
