Chapter 155 New Survivor!

The Xuanwu base moved forward slowly, its tracks rolling over the gravel ground, and the sound of heavy machinery echoing in the air.

Yellow sand rose up, covering the already devastated land.

The reconnaissance drone quickly sent back the footage, showing dense swarms of shadow hunters surging like a tide. Their movements were strange and swift, and their slender limbs slid between the rocks, creating shadowy ripples.

"Thermal reaction confirmed it was a Shadow Hunter."

The deputy commander wiped his sweat, his voice trembling.

"These guys... actually cooperated with each other. It looks like they have a commander."

On the holographic projection screen, the Shadow Hunter's blood-red eyes flickered, like candles burning in hell.

Under the command of a particularly tall and strong leader, they launched a fierce attack on something.

"They're attacking. What are those? A group of survivors!"

Everyone was happy.

I didn't expect to meet a new survivor so soon.

The group of survivors hid in a dilapidated fortification. Their faces were as pale as paper, their weapons were so simple that they were vulnerable to any attack, and there was despair in their eyes.

They were shouting, apparently trying to contact help via radio:

"Help! This is Shelter 11, we are trapped! Please help us!"

Song Lufeng stood in front of the podium, his eyes as sharp as a knife.

"City Lord, can you help me?"

Everyone stared at him eagerly; the meaning was obvious.

Song Lufeng doesn't talk nonsense.

"Save them. After saving them, find out why they are here, their style of doing things, and their stance on good and evil."

People don't have a bad or good person written on their faces.

But as long as they don't cross the bottom line of being a human being, Xuanwu Base can accommodate them.

"Mechanical soldiers are dispatched. The first echelon will cover the evacuation of the survivors."

At Song Lufeng's command, the gate of the base burst open and mechanical soldiers rushed to the battlefield like a torrent of iron.

The Warriors followed closely behind.

Shi Hai held a long alloy sword, his figure was as tall as a mountain, his eyes were as sharp as torches:

"Shadow Hunters? I should have chopped these beasts into dumplings long ago."

Xu Xiang laughed and patted the new armor on his body:

"General, please leave some, I want to test how hard my earth spikes are."

Cheng Fang glanced at the screen coldly, flicked his finger, and a flying knife spun at his fingertips:

"Don't talk nonsense. The sharper the knife, the truth will come true."

"Forward!"

Shi Hai shouted loudly, swung his long sword, and rushed into the battlefield first.

Tian Bao led his men, riding on exotic beasts, running left and right to provide assistance.

The screams of the Shadow Hunters pierced the yellow sand, and densely packed figures rushed towards the warrior group like a tide.

Shi Hai swung his broadsword, the blade flashed like a streak of light, and with one blow he chopped the approaching hunter in half, causing blood to spill all over the gravel ground.

His eyes were cold and his steps were steady, like an unbreakable iron plate.

Xu Xiang slammed the ground with both fists, and countless spikes suddenly rose from the gravel ground. Several hunters were pierced and let out painful screams.

"These guys are pretty tough!"

Xu Xiang looked up and saw more hunters approaching, so he gritted his teeth and rushed forward.

Cheng Fang stood behind, the flying knife in his hand cutting through the air like a ghost, each strike hitting the shadow hunter's spine accurately.

Every time a hunter fell to the ground and twitched, his eyes did not waver at all.

"Hit the spine, don't waste time."

His voice was cold.

Shi Hai heard his voice and grinned:

"You little brat, I know more about these alien beasts than you do!"

Cheng Fang flicked his finger, and another flying knife shot out, and the hunter fell to the ground instantly.

He glanced at Shi Hai calmly:

"The sharper the sword, the fewer words you will speak."

Shi Hai did not hesitate any longer, he drew out his broadsword, cut out a semicircle with the blade, and killed a row of monsters.

"Although Lian Xing is old, he still has a strong will!"

The Shadow Hunter's attack was gradually suppressed.

The robot soldiers provided suppressive fire from the flanks, while the warrior teams precisely struck at the hunter's weak points.

Tian Bao was doing the final cleanup work and stepped on all the injured Shadow Hunters to death.

"The front line has been cleared!"

Shi Hai chopped the last hunter to pieces with one blow and waved his hand to let the soldiers approach the survivors.

The battle was over, and the remains of the Shadow Hunters were scattered all over the battlefield. The smell of blood filled the air, dyeing the sandy ground red.

Zhang Shun led the survivors out of the abandoned fortifications. The fear on their faces had not yet completely faded, but more of it was a deep shock.

A young survivor murmured:

"These shadow hunters... just now they killed us without us being able to fight back. How did they do that?"

He looked down at his modified weapon, then looked up at Shi Hai who had just sheathed his sword.

The alloy sword was now reflecting a blood-red light, as if it still carried a lingering murderous aura.

Shi Hai wiped the blade in a leisurely and relaxed manner, yet his movements revealed an unquestionable majesty.

He glanced at the survivors and whispered, "You can't stop this kind of thing."

Xu Xiang stood not far away, raised his blood-stained arm, shook it, and the blood fell off.

The new armor has a self-cleaning function.

He grinned:

"You can't even handle these little beasts, and you still dare to hang around out there?"

It sounded like a joke, but it made the survivors' scalps tingle.

They looked at the devastated battlefield, at the bodies of Shadow Hunters nailed to death by stone spikes and with flying knives piercing their spines, and finally realized that the gap between themselves and these people was an unbridgeable chasm.

A few survivors looked at Cheng Fang secretly.

He was sorting the throwing knives, putting them back into his sleeves one by one. There was not a trace of blood on the blades, and they were as clean as if nothing had happened.

My dear, there is more to come after this chapter. Please click on the next page to continue reading. It will be even more exciting later!

A survivor said in a low voice: "When he threw the knife just now, I couldn't even see the shadow of the knife clearly."

"Yes, I saw the flying knife flash, and all the shadow hunters fell... These people are not on the same level as us."

Zhang Shun stood in the back with a gloomy look.

He stared at Cheng Fang's slightly trembling fingers and muttered to himself:

"This man... is a killing machine."

Shi Hai led the soldiers past the survivors, their steady steps carrying an invisible sense of oppression.

Many people retreated subconsciously, as if they were afraid that getting closer would bring them death.

Tian Bao stepped forward. He was a survivor himself and could empathize with these people.

"Everyone, don't be nervous. They are all masters from my Xuanwu base."

"They won't hurt you."

"Come with us to see the city lord. If you can stay in the Xuanwu base, that would be your good fortune."

The survivors were led into the Xuanwu base, and the huge armored door slowly closed with a low roar.

The wide corridor inside the base is as grand as a city's main road, and the metal walls on both sides are glowing with a faint cold light.

The defense system above your head is like a dome, giving you the illusion of being protected by a steel cage.

“Oh my god…”

A survivor looked up at the top of the base, his voice full of awe.

"This place is simply made by God."

Zhang Shun stared at the mechanical soldiers patrolling back and forth with a gloomy look.

He whispered to the people around him:

"Look at their weapons. Even if a group of us rushed in, we would be wiped out without leaving any trace."

Another survivor whispered:

"So what should we do?"

Zhang Shun gritted his teeth and spoke in an increasingly suppressed tone: "If you want to survive, don't move rashly. Let's see how much resources they are willing to give us first."
