Technical College
Ye Miaomiao followed Arthur's advice and adopted the marguerite flower as the school emblem. Considering its status as a territorial school, the school was eventually renamed "Hungry Hungry Technical College."
The college and the children's library were combined and situated in the centre of the residence.
With a school, of course, paper, pens, and books are essential. The territory actually has quite a few books, all earned as rewards from quests and leveling up. But the variety is limited, and opening a school is definitely not enough.
It takes two days to light up the papermaking technology. Ye Miaomiao first places the blueprint in the Shenmu Forest to reserve a place, and paper will be produced in two days.
Due to printing restrictions, the territory can only slowly compile books by hand. This matter cannot be rushed. Currently, the school mainly uses the method of teachers dictating to students.
Ye Miaomiao plans to hire a few teachers.
Teach life-related skills such as gathering, planting, and cooking, combat-related skills such as defense and dodging, as well as skills such as mining and machinery that are beneficial to work. You need to learn one of each.
After posting the job ad, Ye Miaomiao specifically stated that part-time work was possible. This was a "technical college," after all, so the class schedule wouldn't be too full, and there wouldn't be a need to be on campus all day.
As soon as the temperature dropped, snow sweepers cleared the roads early, especially the area in front of the college. "Teachers and Students Recruiting..." Signs reading "Recruiting Teachers and Students..." were hung on the sides of every store, attracting an unusually large number of people.
Sister Jin looked at the tuition fees and found the price very reasonable, so she was determined.
She didn't want to learn it herself, but wanted her mother to learn it.
Aunt Li took over Xu Lu's work and these days works until after 2 a.m. every night, like she's punching in punctually. She threads the needle with the light on, squinting her eyes, much to Sister Jin's annoyance.
I told my mother to go to bed early, but she didn't listen; I advised her to take on less work, but she didn't listen either.
In short, they were obsessed with making more money, and they had more excuses than they could chew. They said, "Look at these natural disasters. We can't go out every few days. Shouldn't we save more money and stock up on supplies to avoid any problems?" or "Save more points for a rainy day. Today's hard work is tomorrow's guarantee."
Sister Jin knew this because of the last time she got frostbite on her face.
Although the frostbite was cured, Sister Jin had completely let it go: no matter what illness she had in the future, as long as she didn't die, she would be a hero.
But the mother obviously had a psychological trauma.
Sister Jin was now working on a plan in her mind, her mind wandering off to work. She brought home dinner that evening, and when mother and daughter sat across from each other over dinner, they brought up the matter.
"Mom, why don't you go to school and learn how to do sewing from the elementary level to the intermediate level?"
Aunt Li didn't care: "I'm already old, why should I learn anything?"
Sister Jin put down her chopsticks and said seriously, "Knitting is just a type of sewing. You won't advance much if you keep knitting. Look at how many sweaters you've knitted, and you're still only at the beginner level."
Aunt Li hurriedly put the food into Sister Jin's bowl: "Eat quickly, it's getting cold."
Sister Jin was so disappointed: "Mom, didn't you say that studying is the only way to succeed? You've only been a beginner in sewing, so you can only do these odd jobs. The money is slow to come in, and you have to knit until two or three in the morning before you can go to bed! How can I live like this? I fainted before because of a weak body and multiple illnesses, and I'm afraid you'll faint again!"
Sister Jin was really angry. When she brought up the fainting incident, Aunt Li didn't dare to be vague. She sighed, "What else can we do? We still have to make money."
Sister Jin shook her head. "There's a way. The territory is constantly developing technology, and the talent it needs must also have some technical skills. Right now, the highest level of sewing in the territory is only intermediate, and intermediate sewing is definitely popular. I saw that the intermediate sewing class includes clothing design and sewing machine operation, which is just right to keep up with the future development trend."
"Think about it, working in a garment factory, from nine to five, pays even better. Even if you don't get the job, you're still a winner. Your skills will improve to an intermediate level, and you can knit sweaters faster and with higher quality. It's a win no matter how you look at it."
The more Aunt Li listened to Sister Jin's words, the more she understood their meaning. She had advanced from the beginner level all the way up, and she could clearly feel the benefits of the level increase.
It's not that I don't want to learn, it's just...
"Mom, the tuition isn't expensive at all. 150 points, and you'll graduate in 30 days, so just give me five points a day. Plus, I already have some savings. Mom, I haven't decided on a career path yet, but since I don't need it, I'll use my savings to pay for your tuition!"
Aunt Li quickly waved her hands. Although she was a little worried, she finally made up her mind: "Mom has money, but she's afraid that I'm stupid and can't learn it, and it would be a waste. But my sister is right, I still have to learn. The territory is developing, and we have to develop too. I need to have a skill to rely on."
"Don't worry, I'll sign up tomorrow morning and start studying as soon as the class starts. I'll try to get to the intermediate level!"
Sister Jin finally breathed a sigh of relief. The mother and daughter looked at the almost cold dishes, looked at each other, and both showed helpless smiles.
"Reheat it up and eat it later."
"good."
Applying for a teacher position or signing up for classes are both things that require careful consideration.
Ye Miaomiao knew that it would not be over in a short time, so after releasing the information, she no longer cared about the affairs of the college.
The customer service said earlier that the areas would be unlocked and all territories would be on Earth at the same time. Ye Miaomiao remembered something very important.
Hengheng is cooperating with Xinghua Village and Yunshen Yuanshun. What if the three are separated, or some warlord occupies the area between the two territories, how can they continue to transport supplies?
A transport route must be built.
At present, the technology of Hungry Hungry is the most advanced. Leave this matter to Ye Miaomiao, and the other two territories only need to provide supplies.
The steam locomotive is the predecessor of the electric subway. Ye Miaomiao plans to build an underground steam locomotive first, and then convert it into a subway when the technology matures.
The steam car does not need to be too large to avoid emitting too much exhaust gas; the size of a bus is enough.
However, although the locomotive is small, it still needs to be equipped with rails, engines, platforms, etc., and in the end the effort and resource consumption are no less.
Li Yihan and Hu Mifeng were summoned, and the three of them gathered together.
Customer service hadn't released any notification yet, but because of Ye Miaomiao, both of them knew what was coming.
"What bad luck." Li Yihan scratched his head.
"I can't just sigh and say that I'm unlucky. I have to think of a solution." Hu Mifeng took a deep breath. The more express deliveries he made, the wider the channels he had. He listed the supplies he could buy.
"Defense is the most important thing. With more people, there are more variables. Not only must the territory be impregnable, but anyone entering or leaving must also be strictly questioned." Hu Mifeng expressed his thoughts. "I'll just focus on delivery and don't plan to add any more people. You two..."
He thought carefully and said, "There's a polygraph that can be powered by electricity. Lord Ye should be able to use it. There's also a solar-powered automatic weapon that can be installed on the city walls."
"Build the territory into a strong fortress, what do you think?"
As soon as Hu Mifeng's eyes swept across Li Yihan's face, she quickly raised her hand, stood behind Ye Miaomiao, and expressed her opinion concisely and clearly: "I listen to my legs."
If Ye Miaomiao couldn't pass the test, who else could? Li Yihan gave himself full marks for self-awareness.
She is good at taking unconventional approaches with the sword, but when the real doomsday comes and there are hundreds of lives at stake in a territory, she still has to follow the steady boss, Li Yihan thought happily.
"Didn't I say before that I wanted to help you build a power grid?" Ye Miaomiao thought for a moment and replied.
These irrelevant words left the two of them stunned. They would welcome the power grid construction and give them the necessary points, but what did this have to do with...what they just said?
"The big fight is coming, and we can't just sit back and do it. No matter how strong you are, you can't fight a hundred alone. Besides, there are at least tens of thousands of territories left."
When these words were spoken... Li Yihan's legs suddenly trembled, and he had a bad feeling.
She suddenly felt that there seemed to be something wrong with her memories.
Ye Miaomiao is cautious, steady and secure, but that is only reflected in stockpiling. Every time Li Yihan is short of something, her legs can always fill a warehouse with it.
Thinking carefully, how did she hug Ye Miaomiao with such thick thighs?
"We need to build an alliance, and I've got a great way to select our allies."
"Also," Ye Miaomiao smiled and looked at Hu Mifeng, "I also need the lie detector you mentioned, and other things."
