Malfoy picked up the tightly bound textbook and shook it in his hands.
The other little wizards also took out books from their backpacks. This time, Gryffindor and Slytherin worked together to tie up the books in various ways.
"No one opened the book?" Hagrid was stunned. This was different from what he had imagined. He looked at the little wizards pitifully, and then his eyes turned to Harry.
Pansy scoffed: "We are just little wizards, not professors."
Goyle nodded: "That's right."
"That thing wants to bite our hands off. It's very dangerous." Malfoy continued to sneer.
"Are you showing off that your mouth is healed?" Ron couldn't help but laugh at him.
Malfoy's face darkened.
There is still a shallow scar at the corner of his mouth.
The effect of the Fat Tongue Toffee only lasted for an hour, and it was not a serious injury, so Madam Pomfrey only cast a spell on him, applied some distilled water, and let him return to class.
"Weasley, I must complain..." Malfoy gritted his teeth and pointed at him.
Ron shook his head: "Your father is no longer a school director, who are you going to complain to?"
"Who is the school director? Who is your father?"
Malfoy whipped out his wand: "Weasley, watch your mouth."
Ron wiped the corner of his mouth, and his smile became even wider: "Thank you, I think you should know whose mouth is more dirty."
He was about to cast a spell.
Hagrid frowned and said in a panic: "Don't point your wand at your classmates, or I will deduct points from Slytherin House."
The tone was weak and dry, without any threat.
Ron held up his book. "Malfoy, hey, look, only a dumb person can't open this book."
His book was not bound by anything and lay obediently and quietly in his hands.
Hagrid looked pleased.
Hermione couldn't feel relieved and covered her face.
The little lions hesitated to speak.
They could understand Ron, but this sentence even seriously hurt his teammates.
"Only brainless people would rush to shift the blame onto others when they temporarily lack the ability, so that they can appear so innocent." Harry spoke up and tried to make up for him.
Ron was stunned, and looked back. The little lions' expressions gradually eased. He realized what he had just done unconsciously, and nodded quickly: "Yes, that's what I meant."
Hagrid clapped happily: "Very good, there are still students who can open this book."
"Five points to Gryffindor."
The Slytherins looked at each other unkindly.
Extra points are OK.
But it's just opening a book, and so much has been added. Another Lockhart, or a Gryffindor special?
"Ron, I mean, Mr. Weasley, why don't you introduce yourself to the other students." Hagrid looked at him sincerely.
Ron nodded, took out his wand, waved it gently, and chanted the spell.
The book in Neville's hand flew towards him, and the rope on it was untied.
The Monster Book of Monsters suddenly became agitated and pounced on Ron.
Ron was quick and experienced, and grabbed it with his thumb. He pressed his thumb on the spine and pushed it down, and the book suddenly became quiet.
He gave the book back to Neville.
The owl-faced boy took it in surprise.
The other little wizards began to study in an earnest manner, and soon opened their own books one by one.
The Slytherins hesitated, but they couldn't skip class.
They hesitated and reluctantly used Ron's method to open the book.
Hagrid smiled even more broadly. "Very good. Five points to Gryffindor."
The little snakes' eyes widened.
"Oh, five points for Slytherin too." Noticing those gazes, Hagrid remembered that he was a professor and could not neglect one thing while focusing on another. He waved his hand and added the points.
Hermione continued to cover her face.
"You wait here for a while." Hagrid walked towards the Forbidden Forest. After saying this, he disappeared into the Forbidden Forest.
"What do you think Hagrid will bring?" Ron asked in a low voice.
Harry thought for a moment: "Moon Beast?"
"They live here, and for a third-year wizard..."
He didn't finish his words.
There came a sound of hurried and scattered footsteps in the distance, crisp and light, like horse hooves.
Look up.
In the distance, a dozen animals were trotting towards them. They had the torso of a horse, but with an eagle's head and a pair of huge eagle-like wings.
They all had collars around their necks, connected to a chain that Hagrid held in his hands.
Some were not very happy to be teaching aids and resisted coming over, but they could not resist Hagrid's strength and were dragged by him, leaving several deep scratches on the ground.
And looking at Hagrid's cheerful look, he didn't seem to feel any creature exerting any force at all.
"What kind of creature is that?" Ron looked at it in surprise.
"Hippogriffs." Harry looked at them with amazement in his eyes. "They don't live here, but in another area. It seems that Hagrid brought them here."
It's a beautiful creature.
He has shiny hair and is handsome and strong.
It is one of the animals Harry plans to tame as a mount in the future. Other prepared targets include the Thestrals, Unicorns, and Rune Horses.
Hermione was a little anxious: "That's a 4X level dangerous creature, and this is the first lesson."
"Hagrid is a professor for the first time after all. You have to forgive him." Harry said to comfort him. "To Hagrid, there may be no difference between a Hippogriff and a Luna."
"and……"
"You should be thankful that the fire dragon from your first year was sent away."
Hermione's eyes widened. Thinking of that scene, she couldn't help but feel a little scared: "Thank God, Harry, it's a good thing you convinced Hagrid."
"I didn't, I really wanted the dragon eggs." Harry corrected seriously.
Hermione was stunned: "The result is the same, at least there will be no dragons in our class."
Hagrid led them over excitedly: "Hey, little wizards, look what I brought back for you. Don't crowd them, they..."
His excitement came to an abrupt end.
The little wizards all stepped back several steps in fear.
Hagrid paused and lowered his voice: "Now open the book to page 100..." At this point, he was stuck and tried hard to recall.
Hermione leaned over and whispered, "Page one hundred and seventy-four."
Hagrid nodded heavily. "Yes, turn to page 174. It introduces this cute, handsome, and strange little creature."
"Thank you Miss Granger for the reminder. Gryffindor gets... three points."
He also realized that adding too many points would have a bad impact.
Hermione slapped her forehead. This was the first time she didn't want extra points.
The little wizards were flipping through the books.
Hagrid also introduced: "Hippogriffs are proud creatures. They are very temperamental. Although they have eagle heads, they prefer to use their claws."
As it spoke, one of the eagle claws raised its front hoof and grabbed Hagrid hard, tearing his moleskin coat into pieces and leaving a claw mark on his hand.
"Well, just like this." He showed his bloody hand, which made the little wizards' faces turn pale and they took several steps back.
No wonder……
Seniors would remind us to pay attention to our own safety in the Care of Magical Creatures class. No wonder Professor Kettleburn only had one arm and half a leg left.
Is it so scary?
"So how do we deal with it?" Hagrid grabbed one and pulled it over forcefully. "Although it looks fierce, it's actually very gentle."
"Approach it carefully and don't make big moves."
"Then bow to it politely. Remember, you must be very polite."
"If it bows to you, it means it wants to be close to you. You can touch it and feed it some snacks. I have prepared some dried mice and rabbits."
"You can have a deep conversation with it, then pat its back. If it doesn't resist and bends down, you can ride on it, and it will take you on a romantic flying trip."
At this point, Hagrid's tone turned serious: "If your bow is not responded to, then leave quickly. It will regard you as a threatening enemy and attack."
"Is there anyone willing to try it first?"
The young wizards stepped back, shaking their heads.
Hagrid's tone softened, "No one? They're really easy to get to."
"Let me do it." Harry stepped forward.
Hagrid breathed a sigh of relief.
He followed Hagrid's instructions, walked forward and bowed to it, and soon received a response. In fact, this was not the first time Harry had dealt with this species.
Harry set an example.
Many young wizards also plucked up their courage and came into contact with the hippogriff.
Malfoy had just been injured and didn't want to go to the school infirmary a second time on the same day, so he was very cautious and didn't cause any trouble.
He just might be very unlikable.
The Hippogriff did not respond to his greeting, forcing him to dodge away in shame.
The class ended without any major incident.
Neville's massage technique was not comfortable and he was almost scratched by one of the beasts. Fortunately, Harry was paying attention and waved his wand to use the Transfiguration Charm to save him.
The students left one after another.
After it was over, the danger did not stop them, which made them feel very excited. They discussed it enthusiastically while walking towards the castle.
Defense Against the Dark Arts and Care of Magical Creatures both left a good impression on them.
"Hagrid, you're being a little too reckless." Harry and the others didn't leave immediately. Hermione sighed, "You brought out such a dangerous creature in the first class."
"Harry said, it's a good thing you don't have a dragon, otherwise you would have to lead the dragon out."
Hagrid looked over in surprise. "Harry, you really understand me. I missed Norbert very much when I was preparing for class. This summer I went to visit Mr. Scamander and asked him if he could lend me Norbert, but unfortunately he didn't..."
"Hagrid, you really want to!" Hermione's eyes widened, "You will definitely go to Azkaban if you do that."
Harry also suggested sincerely: "I also think it's a bit inappropriate. Next time, can you choose some 3X-level magical beasts? Isn't there a moon beast nearby?"
Hagrid nodded. "You're right, Harry. I..."
He suddenly thought of something and looked at him in horror: "How do you know there is a moon-crazy beast nearby?"
